The Year: 1942
The year is 1942. Everyone has finally come to peaceful terms. Lord Grindelwald, a menace for many years, has been defeated by the great Albus Dumbledore. People can relax again. There is, however, always a darkness stirring about in the hearts of others.
Wizards and witches of high rank in the society begin disappearing. Muggles start dropping like flies, dying of spells and curses rather than the normal maladies. Dread is filling those who lived through the first wave of dark magic with the German lord. Could he have escaped his prison to attack once more? No. This is a new, unnamed evil.
Hogwarts seems to be the only place of safety… that is until students turn up frozen. Parents are in a panic. Old Headmaster Dippet is at a loss. These attacks are growing more common, first once every few months, now almost weekly. Who could it be? No one trusts anyone anymore. Siblings are fighting each other, houses clashing as they try to learn who this heir of slytherin could be. Deceit lies thick within the air, suffocating the community. Will it ever end or is this just the beginning?
