Welcome to the New and Improved Xena RPG

Ares sat on his throne in one of his many temples thinking that he did not have enough worshippers, to him there was never enough worshippers.He liked to come to this particular temple sometimes just to think, this temple was pretty much always empty so he could be free to do as he pleased Ares felt that he would never be satisfied unless the entire world was bowing to him.He wanted the world to be shaped in his image, not that of his father's.This was frustrating him he decided to relocate.
Ares appeared from Olympus and stood out looking at the ocean and thought that the past few months had been a bit boring since it was just him and Aphrodite on Olympus now.
He needed something to keep him occupied he just had to think of something but what?"I haven't checked up on my "so called" brother Hercules in a while maybe I can stir up some trouble there"He muttered to himself.
He then looked out at the land and noticed that someone walking in his direction."Maybe this person can entertain me"

Hercules was walking down the pathway seeming slightly agitated, he hadn't seen his best friend iolaus since stopping Ares and the titans from taking over Olympus and was hoping that he would find his cousin in the next town. Herc had been walking for most of the day and noticed up ahead a pond. "Well I supposes nows as good a time as any to rest for a few minutes, the next town shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon" he said to himself.

Herc walked up to the pond and sat down on a good size rock nearby, he reached into a small pouch on his belt and checked to see how many dinars he had. All the while he began thinking about his other good friends Xena and Gabrielle.

"I guess if Iolaus isn't in the next town I could always find Xena and Gabrielle and see how they are doing, heck while I'm at it I might finally be able to meet Xena's child and get to know the person I..." Herc stopped talking to himself once he recalled killing his own father to save Xena's unborn child. Hercules sat there a few minutes pondering whether or not to continue looking for Iolaus or to go and find Xena & Gabrielle instead.

Ares looked a little closer and noticed that the man that was walking was in fact his half brother Hercules."what a coincidence" he thought to himself.He thought now would be a better time than ever what can he say he did enjoy their little arguments, it amused him.
Ares appeared in front of Hercules "Hello brother looks like the hero gig doesn't pay much"He said as he noticed that Hercules's coinpurse wasn't too full.
"so Hercules what has the great hero been doing lately? saving more innocents from harm? must get boring"

Hercules looked at Ares and got an annoyed look on his face and said "Ares, what do I owe the dubious pleasure of this visit?" Hercules stood up and turned towards him, and cocked his head. "Let me guess, you're here to stop me from getting to the next town because you've got a new warlord building his forces. Or you're next plot to overthrow the gods...oh thats right it's just you and Aphrodite left." Herc stood there crossed his arms waiting.

"Why brother am I that predictable?"Ares said to Hercules as he walked around him "Besides you are right it is just Aphrodite and I left there is a perfect balance in the world now and I wouldn't have it any other way"
"But enough about me, how is that little twerp that follows you around like a lost dog? Don't see him around"

Ares just loved these little arguments if it was going to be the only way that they could communicate, so be it.

Hercules turned his head and eventually his body following Ares's movement and unop hearing the mention of Iolaus he shrugged his head at first then reached up and yawned with a boring gesture. "You know something Ares for once I don't know where Iolaus is, but since Hera isn't around anymore thanks to dear old dad I don't think I have to worry about him as much. Since I don't think even you're dumb enough to piss m off by killing him." Herc walked over to a nearby tree and reached up to to set his elbow on a branch and leand against the tree. "Now since I know you can't be worried about Iolaus and you're not here to be friends, what could you possibly want this time. Surely you don't expect me to join up in some harebrained plot to bring ack the gods or kill Xena's child or something like that?

"Oh Hercules you've got it all wrong I would never expect you to get caught up in my plans, you have a way of ruining all of my plans besides you would never take my side even if I wanted you to"
Ares looked at Hercules "Besides I've invested my interests in other things besides you you know the usual death, destruction,hatred it's what i do best but I wouldn't be too confident in your abilities to protect those you love you can't take care of them all remember that thing you married?"
He then vanished and went to Olympus and watched Hercules as he got angry, he found it funny.

Hercules shoook his head and swung at Ares just as he dissappeared. "Ares you know just as well as I do that it was all yours and Strife's fault that Sarena died. If you know whats good for you you'll keep your nose out of my business and those of my friends, or so help me you'll wish Hera was here to help you." Herc stood there for a few minutes remembering Sarena then continued on down the path.

Ares reappeared except this time he was standing a little bit farther away from Hercules."You shouldn't be too confident in yourself thats always been a flaw of yours you think the world is at peace right now? I'll have you know that there are few things that are going to happen that are really going to do with certain people in your life..Xena for one If you really did need something to do you should head to Potedia then towards amazon lands I hate to see you bored.. it's bores me I have nothing to watch from Olympus"
Ares then disappeared for good this time completely out of sight and kept watch over his half brother, for the moment at least.

Hercules stopped short and looked at the direction Ares had appeared in then turned and started jogging in that direction. "Well even if Ares wants me to go there I suppose for once I'll be unpredictable and listen to him. I just hope that I'm not to late to stop whatever Ares has planned." Hercules began running in the drection of Potedia.
