Application Process and Bio Format

So! Interested in signing up? Excellent, here's how to go about it.

Rules and Setting: First of all, make sure to read the rules and setting to familiarise yourself with what we're all about. Copying your character information from sources such as Wikipedia or The TARDIS Index File is not acceptable.

Fill in a bio template: Using the template provided below, tell us about your character- who they are, what they've done, what they can do etc.

Post your bio: Once you have filled in your bio, post it in this forum as a new thread. The staff will read through it as soon as they can, usually within 24 hours and offer critiques.

Reservations: If applying for a canon, you may reserve them for up to a week. However, reserving a character does not automatically mean that your character is the only one we will look at. Other people can work on a bio as well. A reservation simply lets us know that you are working, or planning on working on a bio for the requested character, and we will not accept another applicant until either you complete your bio or the time limit has expired.

Character limit: The current character limit is a maximum of three per person, not including NPCs. More may be allowed at the Staff's discretion.

Character Types: WWTWS is open to both canon and original characters. For the time being, we will not be accepting original Time Lords and if you are bringing back a Time Lord who's considered dead, we'd like to see a little imagination in describing how they survive the Time War.

Activity: Once your character has been accepted, please begin posting within a week or your character may be archived or deleted.

Embellishment: Please do not embelish the bio for decorative purposes. If, however, there's something you feel I should know that isn't covered by any of the sections on the bio, feel free to add a note at either the beginning or the end

Name: Your character's name. Please take their species into account. If you're having difficulty thinking of a name, look at other members of their species, see what sort of sounds their names have.
Age: How old is your character? Again, take their species into account as some species have radically different lifespans
Species: What kind of creature is your character? .
Strengths, Skills and Abilities: What can your character do? Will most likely tie into their division somewhat, but they may have useful hobbies, such as solving puzzles or learning alien languages.
Weaknesses: What problems does your character have? Anything from allergies to minor neuroses.

Appearance: How does your character look? No need to be in depth, just give an idea of height, build, hair and eye colouration, plus any distinguishing features they have.
Face Claim: Who will you be using to represent your character?

Personality: Who is your character and how do they behave?

History: Tell us what your character has done and what's happened to them to bring them where they are today.

Plot ideas: This is an optional section- what would you like to do with your character? Who would you like to see them interact with?
