Format: there is no minimum post length, but we do ask that you put effort into writing the best posts that you can. We also ask that all posts are written in the third person, past tense.

Adult Content: adult situations are bound to arise. This is a game about people with passions who are often forced to fight for their lives. Still, we ask that you try to keep posts to a PG-13/12a level. Violence and explicit language will generally be tolerated to a higher degree, but we do ask that you refrain from including scenes of an explicit sexual nature.

Godmodding: You may control only your own character’s actions and may not kill off anyone else’s character without the permission of both the player and the admin.

OOC comments: Please keep out of character comments of in-character threads unless strictly necessary.

Registration: Please register using your character's name.

Absences: If you are going to be away from the board for more than 24 hours, please post a notification in the absences forum. Also try either to move your character out of any scenes that they are involved in, or ask someone else to take temporary control of your character.

Unannounced Absence: If a player is absent for more than two weeks without notice, then they will receive either a PM or e-mail and if there is no response to this after one week, they will be removed from the game.

Text formatting: Please don't change the colour of any part of your post. In addition, please leave the font, text alignment and suchlike as the board defaults.

Time mechanics: For the people on Earth, game time here at TWWWS is broken up into calendar months. During the period that any particular game month is in effect, those characters who are without the benefit of time travel will be limited to playing out threads that take place during that particular calendar month. If you could include the date your threads take place on in the subject line, then that would be very much appreciated. This is all simply for the sake of better being able to follow the order in which things take place.

Those who can travel through time are not bound by the regular flow of things and may have a thread in the current game month which is immediately followed by a thread set hundreds of years ago. So that people can follow a time travelling character's timeline, please begin each thread with a brief note to say what their last thread was. Including a link in that note would be nice, but is not required.

Graphics: Avatars may be up to 150 by 150 pixels and it is preferred that all avatars are this size for uniformity. Signatures should be no bigger than 500 by 200 pixels.
