Shae leant on her friends locker, absentmindedly examining her reflection in the compact mirror that she carried somewhere on her at nearly all times. Along with about another 80lbs of crap. Well, in some people's naive opinions. Pouting her lipgloss coated lips, she stared at the little mirror. Shae had been accused of being in love with herself. It was probably correct, she'd never loved anyone else as much as she did Shae.

She waited here every tuesday and friday before fourth period, when both girls had gym. She also came to meet Kay here after seventh period every monday. And about hundred times inbetween. She'd long learnt that to be in a crowd, you needed to have your 'thing'. And her's was being the lackey. It was not neccesarily the best thing to be known as but it was better than nothing.

Long dark chestnut coloured locks tumbled over her fragile looking and small framed shoulders, gently being tossled by the breeze that she caused as she quickly walked past all of the busy students and teachers at the school, even in pointed heeled boots, Kay Ivory could get out of the way easily and not get behind in the hussle once the warning bell rang, and students pooled out of their classrooms and into the hallway. Pushing past people aggressively, moving herself to where she saw her friend Shae Riley, Kay furrowed her brow in frustration as she was being pushed and shoved as well. When she finally came to where Shae was, she rested her right arm against a locker ina relaxed position, parting her glossed cherry coloured lips to speak, "Hey hon', you ready for gym? I'm sure as hell not. Deffinatly forgot my ice skates at home, and personally; those worn out smelly school skates just are not calling my name." Skating in gym in the dome, fun. By what Kay was saying to Shae, she was really saying that she wanted Shae to skip class with her.

"So what do you say? Cut the class? I think that it's an excellent idea, mhm." Kay cooed, with a smirk forming at the corners of her lips. "Come on, I'll give you my Chem. study guide so that you don't fail next week's Mid-term and have to take the whole course all over again in summer school, or next year with the Sophomores." Kay said venomously rolling her eyes at the seemingly less intelligent girl next to her. Sure, Kay wasn't really smart like Andy or Jinx, but atleast she had a 90 GPA, and Kay's notes were better than Shae's probably. Even though Kay's notes were pretty much all bubble letters from boredom as she tried to burn a hole in the back of oh whatshisface Mickey's head. That dickhead needed to seriously stay away from her and her friends, and get Cancer... Or something. "They're not very good, but it'll atleast get you a C average in your case, instead of a D or an F. But anyways - my sis' smuggled me some new Marlboros last night too." Kay continued speaking, grinning at the blonde.

Turning around on her heel, Kay started walking without Shae, knowing that she would probably follow along behind her. Stopping for a moment once she heard the second bell rang, she looked over her right shoulder and back at Shae raising both of her eyebrows over at her, [b]"Ugh, hurry - before the hall nazi comes out and gives us a cut card."
Kay said, waving her hand and leering at her. An hour of detention did not sound good to Kay, unlike some people she had a life and did not have time to waste her time sitting in a room with a bunch of scumbag juveniles.

Her kohl lined eyes widening slightly, Shae looked up slowly, carefully shuting her treasured compact and sliding it into her open clutch. It would be perfectly reasonable to believe the less than sharp girl 'wasn't all there'. Sometimes she moved as if she'd been in a trance all day, it was a wonder she'd never been hit by a school truck. She just didn't like hurrying anywhere, unless it was to the end of her stairmaster. "Oh, Hi Kay. Um, I'm not sure, you know, I was thinking of trying out for the ice-skating team?" She started weakly, even though she knew it was all ready a lost cause. It always was a lost cause when it came to the two girls. Shae knew she needed to start standing up for herself, she really did, but there just never seemed to be the right time.

At the mention of summer school, Shae subconciosuly gripped the thin tiffany bracelet that always adorned her left wrist. Summer school was a punishment that constantly seemed in the near future for her and it was an incredibly unappealing option. Kay often used her grades as a leverage between them , it was a foolproof tactic that nearly always convinced Shae. Repeating a year was an even more horrific thing to consider, which is why she didn't. "Oh, um sure. Missing one lesson wont make a difference. It will be more fun to skip anyway. We need to catch up." They didn't particularly, their clique spoke at least every day and nearly all the time and new worthy gossip actually happened when they were all their. But it couldn't hurt to rediscuss some of the more important items.

"I'm coming!" Shae insisted, shuffling along after Kay as fast as her new Manolo's would allow.

When Shae said that she wanted to actually try-out for the figure skating team, Shae chuckled menacingly under her breath. "Hon, think about what you're saying, really. Ice skating team? Who do you think you are, Nancy Carrigan?" Kay joked rolling her eyes, not meaning it in an offensive way, but Kay always spoke in a fierce way, even when she gave out compliments. People just always seemed to think that everything that she ever said was meant in an offending way. Hm, well that is what you get for being cold hearted bitch, I guess. She wore the title of that very well. Still giggling to ehrself about Shae's silly dream in her opinion, Kay shook her head. If Kay did not like something, then it was not going to happen. Yes that was right. Kay was most certainly not afraid to crush her closest friends tiny dreams. She ahd that much control over what people did sometimes that it was a bit frightening.

A Drama Mafia member repeating a grade, ehh - yeah, that wouldn't work. Kay wanted to graduate with her best friends, thank you very much. "Ada girl, that's what I thought." Kay muttered to herself, smiling when Shae agreed to skip gym class that period. Adjusting her Heatherette purse on her shoulder and began walking again, heeling clicking behind her, knowing that Shae would quickly follow behind her like an obedient puppy dog. While walking with the rest of the stragglers that were procrastinating in the nearly empty hallway now, Kay opened up one of her notebooks, finding the right page to the notes that she had promised to Shae. When Kay had finally turned to the correct page, she laughed softly again, looking at all of the mocking pcitures that she had drawn of the teacher and then one in the corner of her notes of Mikey Marshall that had 'Weemo' written across it's forehead and a little lasso around it's neck. Kay thought that it was hilarious, but when she showed Andy in the middle of class, she sort of just flipped out on her for no reason. Christ she was acting weird lately. Maybe it was her time of the month. 'Someone seriously needs to take a Midol.' Kay thought to herself, recalling to when that happened.

When Shae had finally caught up, Kay handed her, her notes, giving her small little frown, "Yeeaahhh, just ignore the nasty little comments on the side and little doodles. I obviously hate Chem." Kay said grinning at Shae. Kay did not really understand Chem. at all, she usually would just copy off of Jinx or Andie, they were pretty damn smart. Way smarter than Kay and Shae combined probably. Kay did good in class with her and her friends efforts combined to get that A average. Kay could take the notes that were on the overhead well, the problem was, was that she did not understand any of them. Where was Chem. going to get her anyways? It wasn't as though Kay wanted a career in the medicine field, or something like that.

"Yeah, you're probably right. I'd probably just end up with a bruised ass." Shae nodded along, blushing slightly. It didn't matter though, being the indesicve girl she was, Shae was always coming up with new and more than slightly delusional goals. One memorable week it was to become a candy striper. Yeah, that hadn't ended out well... She was now banned from entering the New Jersey public hospital without a serious injury. But that's a long and embarassing story...

Shae finally reached her friends side, and gratefully accepted the notes, folding them up carefully and sliding them into the zip up ocket of her much coveted chanel clutch, treating them with as much reverence as a vicar would a bible. "Thanks Kay. You're a lifesaver." All of the Drama Mafia were often asked to help Shae with her homework and although Kay's notes might not have been the most detailed they always guaranteed some insight into whatever was going on that day, providing Shae with the very regular study breaks she always looked for. "And doesn't everyone hate Chem?"

Looking around first quickly just in case there were any teachers patrolling the corriders for 'miscreants, Shae pushed one of the many stiff minor exit doors that surrounded the outside of the school building. They had been installed in case of an emergency but they also came in pretty handy for a quick escape. She automatically started to head towartds the sports hall, there lay a perfectly innocous unused judo room which the girls had made the official cutting class zone , way back in freshman yer. you'd think someone would notice but they never did...

"Did I tell you? I went outside to my drive this morning and some bitch had keyed my car!" Shae announced, not neccesarily in the aggravated tone most people would use if their convertible had been scrathced up. But, for a girl who's Daddy had three extra cars just sitting on the driveway, it was just a interesting story to tell. She was curious to who had done it though, who she'd pissed off this time.
