March 2nd 1914 Russia, 50 miles north outside Mosscow
The wind was harsh, but yet I led my team into the frozen wastes. Some would not return, others would make it back, but yet I was determined to find the power, the power to change destiny. . . to change my destiny.
The sun had gone down and the stars began to show lazily across the sky. Snow blew past us in great turrets, and I could tell that the team was beginning to feel the bitterness. This was unexplored territory for man, and I knew that the resting place of Queen Salenor was located in this new land.
We reached the edge of the cave, a hole that seemed to fall right through the earth itself. We lowered our gear, and soon, within the space of thirty minutes, we were on the bottom. Flashlights flared in front of us and what I saw made my heart cringe...
It was just a hole, nothing more. The others were whispering behind me, I could hear them. They were going to turn on me, but yet they never lifted a finger. In a quick flash, I drew my sword, and within two minutes, the team of five were cold. Blood ran the ground as though bathing in it. What a glorius sight it was.
I made my way back out and in front of me there stood a dark shadow...
