If you would like to create a character, there are a few ways at tackling it.
First, there are a few decisions you must make. Whether or not you would like to create an original character, one created purely of your own mind and thoughts, or one created by the series. This is also known as a canon character.
There are some benefits to playing one or the other. Original characters are completely up to you. They have no real preset personalities, histories, or rankings you need to worry about. However, it is more difficult to have the assume larger roles on the board, simply because no one knows who they are.
Canon characters are harder to play, simply because they have certain reputations. There manors, history, concerns, all of those things have been, for the most part, decided for you. However, because they do have a history, they are easily recognized and can assume larger positions in the rping world.
Alright, so once you've decided which you would like to apply for, you need to take a little trip over to the character forum, HERE. Inside that forum is a whole network of useful templates, guidelines, and tips to creating an up to par character.
If you take a good look, you will see something like this
-Original Character -Canon Characters -Incomplete Applications -Trashed Applications
When you wish to start your character, you will need to take the template, found HERE, and start a new topic in the desired category. Original characters, canon characters go in the specified categories listed. If you don't think you're going to have enough time to finish an application to your liking in one sitting, you may start it in the incomplete category. You can leave the application there for 48 hours before it is eventually moved to the trashed applications. If this has happened, you may PM an admin asking for the application back, and continue.
After you have completed everything to your liking, the application will be reviewed by a staff member, who will ultimately decide whether it is accepted, or if it still needs a little work.
Once accepted, the application will be moved to the designated category. Where it is moved depends on what occupation you or the series has chosen for your character. Details on these occupations can be found HERE.
If you need help deciding your characters weaponry, as asked in the template, you can use this topic HERE to get a little help.
If you still have questions after reading this, reply to this topic and voice them. Your questions may be useful to another member.
