Welcome to The Space Between! [TSB] We aren't a new site, but after a long death, we finally came back to life and are now working on getting everything straigtened out, organized and active. We're post-potter, but obviously this site was up before the Deathly Hallows came out, so our plot is a it of AU, I suppose. Timeline: [Mine is in paragraph form because I already had this character's bio and stuff. And it isn't exactly accurate since it was from a Marauders' Era site.]The Riddles. The name doesn't mean much in this day and age, nay for the trophies won by one Tom Riddle in his days at Hogwarts. The family isn't rich or Pureblooded and doesn't have very much influence on anything that goes on in the world. They're not very well known, at least not yet. If the family knew what was to become of their name, what horrors would be attached to their families, well, they probably wouldn't be able to face it. The family likes to keep secret and not much is known about them except things that were realized while Tom was in school. Other than that, the family is basically a blank slate to everyone.
And the Riddles thought it would stay that way. After having two children, a boy and a girl, they didn't think they would have anymore little Riddles running around. That is, until Richard's brother, Tom's uncle, had a child. At first his family didn't believe him when he said he had gotten married and reproduced. They had always thought he would be the one who turned gay and they would have to disown. He was angry and violent and a slob and they just couldn't see how anyone could bring themselves to have sex with him. It was preposterous but true. He had hooked up with a prostitute and she was so addicted to drugs that, when he promised to buy her whatever she needed for her fix, she was in love. What a great homelife for a young boy, right?
Growing up, Augustine didn't know anything about people. His parents kept him locked up most of the days and didn't allow him human contact. So he always thought that people were just like his parents. Trashy, abusive and worthless. His mother would sit on a couch, passed out with a needle in her arm, while his father beat him within an inch of his life. Hell was a place called home. Running away wasn't an option because he didn't know anyone outside of his parents. Suicide was the only option in his mind that could help him escape. But he never had the nerve. He would cut himself and bite himself but he could never bring himself to commit suicide. So he lived in this hellhole for eleven years, until his escape came. The note from Hogwarts saying he had gotten accepted into their school and would be able to be away from his family for more than three-fourths of the year.
It was Heaven.
School was hard for him, considering how great he was with people and all. People didn't like him. He was dark and moody and an overall freak. That is, until he was in his fifth year. Suddenly he was attractive. He came back cocky and in control and suddely had a sex appeal. Yes, he had somehow changed over the summer, evolving into this man who could handle himself. No one would treat him like crap ever again. His days of being pushed around by his father were over. With the money he had been hoarding over the years, he had enough to buy a small, dingy apartment in Diagon Alley, above a tea shop. It isn't fancy but his parents aren't there. Life couldn't be better.[/ Family: [only list the family members your character is aware of. That means no halfbrothers/sisters that your character doesn't know about]o1. Parents: Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Black. He didn't live with either of them and instead was sent to live with his great-uncle [Voldemort's daddy's brother] His great-uncle was Richard Riddle and his wife was Evelyn Riddle. Augustine knows that his father is Voldemort, but doesn't mention it.
