Storyline

Does anyone know the storyline of this game? I want it, but I don't know what it's about.

Basically. this is one of the best FF games I've played!

It's the story of Garnet (also called Dagger), who is the Princess of a place callled Alexandria. Only, she doesn't like the way her mother is ruling the country, so she runs away with a group of people:

Zidane, a thief
Steiner, her bodyguard
Vivi, a black mage
Quina, a gready pig lol
Eiko, another summoner (Garnet is also a summoner)
Amarant, some weird dude
Freya, a dragon slayer

I think that's all...

So yeah, basically, she runs away and embarks on a series of adventures, including stopping her mother from attacking neighbouring places and at the same time stopping the bad guy, Kuja, from world domination. All of the action takes place in the country of Gaia. During the game, Garnet also becomes Queen, and has those pressures to deal with.

There's also a sub-story revolving around the character of Vivi, who is trying to find the meaning of his existence.

All of the characters have their own dilemas:

Zidane: You don't need a reason to help people.
Dagger: Someday I will be Queen, but I will always be myself.
Vivi: How do you prove that you exist? Maybe we don't exist...
Steiner: Having sworn fealty, must I spend my life in servitude?
Amarant: The only dependable thing about the future is uncertainty.
Freya: To be forgotten is worse than death.
Quina: I do what I want! You have problem?
Eiko: I don't wanna be alone anymore...

All of those quotes have something to do with the character's role in the story.
