PopeZach! Great name Z!!!! hahaha
Well we can make this this introduction page. I'm Andrew, the coordinator...not a newbie...came out in front of 100's of millions worldwide on CBS. So i guess you could say I'm not in the closet.
I dig taco bell, weight lifting, gymnastics, goofing off, traveling all the time, kickin it with the Mu Crew, and action and horror flicks. Health freak, dancin', camping, and public speaking are a couple things I'm into as well.
I'm 23 and originally from Kentucky (so I say 'yall' a lot) but have been in Dayton OH for a lil over a year now. I'm the airhead jock of the group. huh.gif

Well, like they say, this is the introduction page....
I am Frodo, aka Ben. If you want to inquire about the nickname, just ask! Well, I guess I should say something about myself.
I am a 25 years old. I work in education, and I love it at times. I am a core group member. I enjoy hanging out with all my friends, whenever I get the chance. I like going to movies, out to eat, coffee, occasionally I like to go to a bar or the club. I love to dance and play pool (I don't hustle people anymore)! I play soccer, volleyball, golf, swimming, and bocce ball.
Some people would say I am freakishly perking in the morning, I would have to agree with them laugh.gif . Anyway, life is good for me, I love where I am and where I think I am headed. I am a great listener and I give awesome advice, so any problems, send them my way.

Catch everyone on the flip side!

Ciao di bell'aspetto bello! (See you later good looking)

Hey Everybody! (Everyone replies "Hey Austin" just like in the Simpsons. Oh yah.)
So glad you made it here, and let me say WELCOME!!! My name is Austin, and I am a core group member of the Mu Crew. Wanna know about me huh? Sure? It can be kinda scurry...... Nahhh just kidding. Well I'm 22, been from this area my whole life (born and raised in Middletown, just recently moved to Dayton). I'm a Political Science major, and I'm majorly into politics! Huh! Who would have thunk it? So in addition to politics, I'm a huge gay rights activist, I do a seminar for gay youth dating, I love to do the rallies, parades, and pride events - all of it. In my personal life I'm really down to earth. I love to read (John Grisham, and Micheal Chichton are my faves), watch stupid movies, hang out with the other Crew Members, go out to dinner, go dancing, surf the net, all the normal things a 22 year old guy likes to do. My role in the group: I'm the guy (Along with Ben) who loves to cook, and everyone comes to with thier problems, which I love totaly being there for people. Thats me in a nutshell, cause I'm just a nut. blink.gif tongue.gif cool.gif Give me some love, and hope ot see you at the next event!

What's up ya'll? That's the "official greeting" of Kentucky...more on that later on. So, I'm Nic. Yes, I would be correct in the spelling of my name. That just irks me like no other when people correct me on the spelling of my name, saying that I forgot the k in it. Hey, I might forget to wear underwear sometimes, but I think that I know how to spell my name, okie dokie?

Ok, that said, let's do the damn thing and get on with introductions. I'm 21 years old (just turned it in december and loving every intoxicated moment of it so far). I'm originally from California (the land of the good times) and love that state to death. It's the greatest....hehe, just making sure that I rub in it's awesome-ness for Aaron, cause I know that he loves it oh so much. SHUT UP! I'll take you one day so you can see for yourself Aaron dearie. And I'll stuff your face with some good old California fast food that is "oh so yummy!"

Ok, so things that I do. I'm a photographer for the military and currently work on Wright-Patterson AFB. I've been doing the whole photography thing for the longest time now, since I was about ten or so (I've moved up a long way from that old 'Scooby Doo' 35mm camera I got for my birthday) but it's one of my greatest passions and I totally love it. People always love asking me why it's "so great" and I tell them a few of the different reasons. First off, it's always great to get someone naked for pictures! HAHA! Just kidding. I don't do that kinda stuff. No, I love taking photographs because you have the power and ability to take a memory, something that brings chills to your arms whenever you think about it, or a smile to your face when you remember how happy you were, and you take a simple machine and you can capture that moment in time forever, and be able to share it with people 100 years from now. To me, that's a great thing to be able to do.

Other hobbies include dancing (it was an old job back at home, but I got fired for breaking a cage we danced in....I'll explain that more to you later though if you ever ask), reading (I think Anne Rice and I are planning our wedding for next summer, so your all invited), writing (mainly satire and comical short stories), working out (I didn't say that it made a different to how I look, but it makes me feel good), traveling (the more places that I see in my life, the happier I'll end up being), movies (my all time favorite movie is most likely Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, and don't ever get me started on that movie cause I can pretty much recite it line for line with no problem!), music (anything and everything. I think it's great that you can always find a song that relates to however you feel and that matches your memory in perfect unison. My only thing is that I'm not a big rap fan, because to me it doesn't make much sense), hanging with my friends (my friends mean the world to me, and as it appears, the Mu Crew is no exception to that rule), cooking (I love cooking, but more importantly, I love eating!) and my most favorite past time? BEING A NERD! Yeah, I'm a big nerd and love making people laugh. If someone is feeling down, I will make a complete ass for myself in public as long as it puts a smile on their face (I stood on my head at Celebrities one night to get a friend to smile, so don't try to test me bitches!)

So, other thigns? I love penguins, spicy food, sushi, playing in the rain, driving in the dark, singing in the shower, jumping on the bed, eating, typing stupid web pages at work in html code to make my friends laugh, drawing stick figures of people I work with to make jokes, eating, spinning in my chair at work really fast, throwing paper balls at my boss, dancing like it's my last day on the world, making people laugh, smiling for no apparent reason, tickling friends, eating and being completely and utterly different to make people realize that not everyone has to fit into a label.

Now, hopefully this has helped you understand myself a little bit better. Like, you're probably saying to yourself, "Does he realize that he wrote eating 3 times?" YES! I did, but I did it for a reason....and that would be I'm a fat ass heffer who shoves food in his mouth like he's from an ethiopian tribe and just found the lost shipment of food that Sally Struthers was hiding. Yeah, that's me.

Most people are wondering what exactly this group is all about? It's about rescuing people from their houses in the middle of the night because they're bored, contemplating whether or not you should use the 4-wheel-drive on the SUV you borrowed for the weekend, and dancing at the club and making Aaron blush a bit (that was so great Aaron!), and also, ending up at Steak and Shake after every night we go dancing, to laugh and stuff our faces. No, that was just one night. To be honest, the Mu Crew is about forming friendships, creating bonds of trust, knowing that no matter what happens in your life, you have people there for you that truly care about you. It's a place that you can go to in any situation, whether it's boredom or a real life emergency. The Mu Crew might be full of some strange and weird people that can be crazy (and I don't mean crazy as in fun to hang out with but more along the lines that they're crazy like the kinda crazy that gets you a check every month from the government kinda thing), but I think that's because the founders are both a little "special" in a 'ride the short bus and lickin' the window' kinda way, know what I mean? No, Aaron and Andrew are both great. Love them to death. I don't know if I would take a bullet for them, cause I don't like pain and sharp objects (there goes my chances at the whole leather bars) but they're great people (just like all the Mu Crew is).

Now, being as this will most likely be ignored because of the insane amount of typing I've done, not to mention that I babble on and on for hours with really nothing in mind, I hope that everyone continues to come out to the Mu's Events, because I know how kick ass they are, and how much fun everyone is.

I think ShutterBug1369 hit the nail on the head about the Mu Crew. I wouldn't be able to add a thing.

You know what the best way to get to know the other members of the group is?

Get your asses to the events.

Whether it be big events, small gatherings, stalking them at work (I know Austin will give you a shout out at his place, and Andrew will test you for AIDS, and me....well, if you try to come to visit me at work, you might get shot. HAHA!....no, but seriously, you will...)

Tonight was a small gathering. It was myself, Jesse, Austin and Ben. Andrew was gonna show up, but he was all stressed out and upset about today (see the first board posting in the "Random Thoughts Throughout the Day" post which is in the "Miscellaneous - Off Topic Folder"). So, instead he went home to be with his hubby and get some good lovin. That's my boy!

So, we all went and watched a movie and afterwards, hung out and talked like a bunch of chatty cathy's, and that was some fun stuff. I got to know a bit more about Austin and Ben (them boys are crazy!) and I also got to know Jesse a lot more, being as I never get the chance to talk with him that much. But he's a cool guy. No seriously, he's hecka cool...and he kisses way good too, ya know? No, just kidding. None of that went down....that's for Monday night. ::wink wink::

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Okay, an addendum to Nic's comments about last night.....
We started the night at Austin's apartment with Andrew, Austin, Jesse, Nic and myself. We were chatting, and Andrew REALLY needed to vent about cheerleading, which is cool cause we all need to do that at some point..
Well, we had considered going out to a movie, but we couldn't decided on what we wanted to watch...so we were going to rent a movie, and go back to the Shire to watch it. Well, after Andrew's vent session, which he felt soooo much better afterwards, we left to go to Blockbuster. We couldn't decided on a movie to rent either, we had it narrowed to Deep Blue Sea (I think), I Robot, and Anchorman....
We ended up renting I Robot, and it was an awesome movie!! Now, I know I feel asleep for 20-30 minutes in the middle, but I was tired, been up since 6am and was out late the night before, cut me some slack. biggrin.gif
Well, after the movie we just sat there and chatted and gossiped about lots of "stuff." I got to know Austin, Jesse, and Nic really well last night....
It was approaching 330-345, when I made the suggestion that there are a ton of beds, and everyone could have their own, I didn't mind if they stayed the night....well, Jesse said he really needed to get home, so the three of them left, and no more that 1 minute after they left, I am calling Nic cause he left his wallet....That would have been horrid for him to get home without it!!! So they came back to get his wallet....I think I should get some sort of concellation prize for finding it so quickly.... ohmy.gif

Oh well, those of you who didn't come, you missed a great time to get to know each other....

I agree - a great time. I think that last night some dirty little scandelous secrests came out, and now I have totaly lost my nun status. How sad for me! It was a totally good time, and I have to competly encorage the new people to come out to these little non-all-group functions to just get to know the other people in the group. Had I not joined and just seen these guys on the net, in the bars, etc...I would have never gotten to know them and missed out on a lot of good friends and good times!

I think that new members are a great hit at the events. They start off shy, but then they eventually open up and hang with the nerds like it's cool digs, ya know? It's good times.

Well, other then that, I say make sure to tell all your friends about the upcoming events, the meetings, or just the off-the-wall things that we do on our off time, cause it's always cool like that, ya know?

I will try my hardest to bring at least one person that is not crazy or that is not going to run away screaming.
