Oh dear, Verdades has gone and rearranged things!
I'm hoping that a shorter main page might make people look a bit more closely at the site, now that it isn't so intimidating. A lot of things are in sub forums now - don't worry, I didn't delete anything!

"Anything I can do?"
Looking up at the boy who had wandered through the door, Matt gave out a sigh of his own. “No, we’re done now.”
As the electricity coursed through his body, Link gritted his teeth, forcing the pain away. It wasn’t hurting him, not at the intensity he knew the warlock expected it too. What hurt more were the deaths of all the animals nearby. Wiping at the tears rolling down his cheeks, he looked back up at the warlock. Pulling more energy from Link’s pain and rage, the plants reacted instantly. Feeling the earth shake under her feet, Jane jammed her power into the earth, turning the ground from a solid surface to something resembling soup. The roots of the plants took this opportunity to shoot through, yanking on Daso’s feet to pull him into the ground. Growing faster and faster, more vines sprouted, snapping Daso’s arms to his side and covering his mouth.
Outside the circle, Mai stepped forward. Stretching her arms out, she channelled two, blazing columns forward, slamming them into the side of the icy shield Daso had constructed. While his magic resisted hers, she overpowered him, melting two large holes in the wall. Spreading her arms outwards, she redirected the direction of the flames, making them circle the shield, slowly melting it. Once a huge puddle of water filled what had once been the lounge room, Mai gave a sigh of relief, seeing the blond head of Link perfectly safe.
“Mai.”
Turning, she found Matt and Megan with the Book of Shadows. Arching an eyebrow, she looked down at the page they had found.
‘To Vanquish A High Level Warlock.’
Mai pursed her lips, until they became two, very thin, lines. “Ok.” She said shortly.
Giving a sigh, Matt shook his head. Moving to the side to make room for Mai, he looked at Megan, and then to his twin. “Here we go.” He murmured.
‘Let this evil in this place, Once amongst our own, Be cast forth from time and space, His power removed through this tome. He cannot enter heaven, On Earth he cannot roam. Hell can no longer accept him, We finally banish him from this home.’
At first, nothing happened. Wrapped up in his cocoon of vines, Daso suddenly began to shift, as if uncomfortable. With a sudden snapping noise, the vines in front of his mouth moved, ten white orbs flying out of his mouth and into the pages of the book. As the final ball left his body, his body began turning a blinding white. His body began vibrating in the earth, and with a yell, his body exploded, sending a wave of energy outwards that knocked the Davidson Three off of their feet and demolishing the remaining walls in the main part of the house. The plants shuddered as they sailed through the air. Giving a cough as he got to his feet, Link looked at the smoking hole where Daso had been, and promptly began to throw up.

As Daso was sucked into the ground by the vines Merldot seized the opportunity to lend a hand in giving a painful as possible death. He still hadn't heard this guy's name but hey, he was getting in the way of Merldot's plans. Pulling the static from the air, the clouds, the powerlines within a kilometre, any power source he had he pulled from. He began to glow from the sparks, they flooded over his body, filling his body, the energy charging up within him and then he released it all, in one shot into the body of the warlock, all his electrical stock jamming into him. Thirty thousand volts and just enough amps so as not to kill him if he were human, pain was more fun. Without warning a flood of boiling water washed down onto him and Merldot noticed all the shields, the ice, the vines and the force field had all disappeared. At first Merldot didn't understand the warlock's screams of agony and why the streams bubbled and steamed, in fact he hadn't noticed anything, to him the water was cool and refreshing. Putting it down to luck he moved on, sending a twister of electricity up around the evil being, churning, glowing, reaching to the clouds, sending lightning crashing down it over and over.
'No one gets in my way and no one threatens me or my tools.'
As he was busy with his fireworks display Merldot began to notice a strange tinge to his skin, it was almost green, like an aura. Putting it down to the large amounts of gas in the air before he continued on his little path, the glowing pillar fading as the final words of the spell were uttered.

Daso sensed something was wrong, for him, not them, which was unfortunate. Then many things began to happen in a very short amount of time. The ground melted, vines grabbed him again, his shield failed as multiple tonnes of boiling water flooded onto it along with two pillars of flame, successfully decimating what little control he had over it. Then it was the electricity. As it hit him he couldn’t fight back, his body was just refusing to do anything, so he felt it, felt it all. 'Rats, if not for that stupid battle I'm constantly waging this never would have happened' Everything flooded onto him, all the powers directed at him were destroying him and he knew he had lost, well and truly. He couldn't summon the right emotion to blink away, he couldn't break free of the ground, everything had gone to hell in a very, very evil looking hand basket. Not that he hadn't planned for such circumstances, but that all depended on how they got rid of him. 'This could go two ways, mine, or theirs. Waddyou mean? What? you're here? Yes, now what do you mean your way? Oh nothing special, just a little bit of a shock for them if they banish me with the conventional spell. Oh like hell you do. Wanna stop m... Well that was easy, pity I didn't learn that before I started decimating populations.' Not that anyone would really hear him Daso began to sing again, damn spontanious urges I'm taking all you down with me Explosive duct taped to my spine Nothing's gonna change my mind I won't listen to anyone's last words There's nothin' left for you to say Soon you'll be dead anyway Well no one here, is getting out alive This time I've really lost my mind and I don't care So close your eyes And kiss yourself goodbye And think about the times you spent and what they've meant To me it's nothing To me it's nothing To me it's nothing To me it's nothing I'm losing all my happiness The happiness you pinned on me My loneliness still comforts me My anger dwells inside of me I'm taking it all out on you for all the shit you put me through Well no one here, is getting out alive This time I've really lost my mind and I don't care So close your eyes And kiss yourself goodbye And think about the times you spent and what they've been To me it's nothing To me it's nothing To me it's nothing To me it's nothing Do you ever think back to another time ? Does it bring you so down that you thought you lost your mind ? Do you ever want to lead a long trail of destruction and mow down any bullshit that confronts you ? Do you ever build up all the small things in your head To make one problem that adds up to nothing To me it's nothing To me it's nothing To me it's nothing. For the entire duration of the song he nodded along and that was all he did as his good side, real Daso, ripped back control from bad Daso. He finally regained control fully over actions when the song ended. Back to his usual self Daso stopped resisting, in fact he stopped almost everything. He heard the little poem the three siblings were spinning and looked over, sighing. As the spell completed His eyes met Matt's and every speck of emotion within him surfaced. He began to cry as he died. Everything he had suppressed during his time in the underworld flooded through him. The fear, the sadness, the anger, the self loathing, the regret, all of it. A tsunami of emotion flooded through him in the final milliseconds of his existence, his eyes locked with those of the only friend he had ever cared for. With all the emotions came all the powers. Electricity, Ice, Fire, Acid, Wind, Water, Force fields, Telekinetic force, light, sound, fear amplification, earth manipulation, conjuration causing things to randomly appear, all flooded outward from him, all and more. Every power in his possession activated and blasted away from him. In a final attempt to save his friends Dasonus used the last seconds of his life to shove one guy away from him and enclose himself in a force field of his own control, a complete one, extending in every direction including down and held it to stop any powers escaping it. Sadly, Daso knew, for Matt his force field didn't stop emotion. As he felt his life force leaving him Daso mouthed out to Matt 'I'm sorry. Please forgive me.' Then there was black and Dasonus Crotolf was no more. ((ooc. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=-oKdvFCC8Tc - credit to greenday- song is having a blast.))

Clare watched silently, keeping as far from the magical battle as she could. The numbness that had pervaded her body seemed to encourage her lack of involvement, but held her within plain sight of those fighting. Like a car crash, or a death, it was something she couldn’t look away from – the lives of innocent people were threatened by the male before them, the one around which the magic seemed to gather. The events, though, which ended seemingly within a matter of seconds, left her with no sense of justice or accomplishment.
His screams filled the air, almost drowning out the poem Megan, Matt and another girl were reading. A younger boy was electrocuting him, seemingly relishing the pain the other male was going through in his final moments. The last look she caught on the male’s face before he died was one of sorrow, or so she thought – her vision was beginning to blur, but the image seemed burned into her mind with vindictive clarity. A blast rocked the house once more, Clare having sense enough this time to hide behind a far wall whilst the main rooms were completely demolished. Blinking through the dust and grit in the air, she stayed just long enough to see her disgust reflected in Link’s reaction.
She felt only the heavy sadness of depression dragging her down, keeping conscious with some effort. The burns on her back ached hotly, her thigh sending screams of protest over her up and down her leg at the movement. She ignored them, turning and heading back outside.
Catching sight of a black shape close to the edge, she lifted the jacket from the pool, heaving the soaking mass with great effort. Depositing it by the pool, she hoped Matt wouldn’t mind if she came back for it later. Catching sight of a glint of steel in the grass, Clare picked up her knife, barely stopping to question it’s reappearance before carefully hooking the hilt through her belt. Shivering now from her soaking clothing – or lack thereof – she flexed her abilities in her mind, assessing how drained she was. Gritting her teeth she flew a metre into the air before pausing, looking back at the damaged house. Wanting to help but knowing there was little she could do, the small part of her that never wanted to see those people again caused her to look away and shut her eyes tightly.
I don’t think I can handle much more of this – killing for the sake of others, perhaps, but not this. This was the torture of a man who could feel sorrow, regret even. No-one deserved to die like that.
A cold wind blew over her bare arms and stomach, whipping the hair from her eyes. Staring upwards at the blurring stars, Clare willed herself to make it home.

Darcy was staring intently at the demon in front of her when white things began to flash from Daso's direction. Risking a glance she was in time to see him beginning to glow and her mouth and nose scrunched up 'What's that Jerk up to now?' The demon in front of her howled at her momentary distraction and leapt at her.
Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. She saw Daso explode in a huge flash of white, and the three Davidson children be flung backwards. She saw the demon in front of her leave the ground in a massive jump, it's atheme outstretched, ready to plunge into her heart. She saw a chunk of wall fly across the room and hit the demon in the back of the head. The demon, with the life slowly draining out of it, continued on its path towards Darcy, only with the force of the explosion pushing it forwards. The atheme connected with the cast on her arm, and everything seemed to speed up to its regular pace.
She screamed as she was flung backwards, the atheme sliding off the cast and slashing her fingers, the demon smashed into her broken arm as they hit the ground together, a pile of tangled limbs. The demon's weight cracked the cast and she screamed again as a shard of cast embedded itself in her thumb. The house was currently busy falling apart around her, and she doubted that anyone could hear her shrieks, so she shut her mouth with a mammoth effort and cut off the screams, turning instead to quiet moans. The demon on her arm twitched twice before disappearing into a pile of ash.
Drawing her legs up under her she curled into the fetal position and bit her lip to stop her groans, a piece of something, she assumed it was bench, was resting against a pile of rubble, blocking her view of the others. Pushing up with her good arm she looked across the decimated room, she could see Link vomiting and pieces of plants all over the room. 'Should go, find, Merldot,' Shuddering as the shock of what had happened began to sink in she started to shake. Cradling her bad arm to her chest she curled back into the fetal position and began to cry again, silent tears coursing down her cheeks, her fingers hurt, and she didn’t know what had happened to most of her friends, reaching up with her good hand she checked that Merldot’s hat was still perched on her head, it was, although it was barely clinging to her hair. Pulling it down to her chest she clutched it with both hands, realizing she was still bleeding from her fingers she quickly pulled them away from the hat and surveyed them. The cut wasn't too deep, and would quickly heal. Shaking tiny blood drips off the hat she placed it back on her head. Gritting her teeth se pulled the piece of plaster out of her thumb and stuck it in her mouth. Sitting cross-legged on the floor she sighed heavily past her thumb and leant against a nearby pile of rubble. The strength to stand was currently out of her reach.

The explosive force of the warlock's demise proved rather bad for Merldot's already batter body. A concussive wave blasted him backwards, smashing him into a wall which promptly collapsed onto him.
'This is getting so old.'
Trapped in the darkness and doubtful that anyone knew where he was Merldot tried to move, but couldn't, he was pinned under the cieling and the contents of the roof, not to mention the bricks from the wall.
'Well this is just great, trapped, alone, without my hat, and pretty sure I'm gonna be busted up tomorrow morning. Bruise city here I come.'
All he could do was think and hope. Hope that the people outside his stone prison had any idea he was there. He began to play a game where he tested how much electricity it took to blow up brick. Slowly working his way Up the scales MDG pondered upon the name of the mysterious warlock that had just been vanquished. He knew he had heard it, but didn't comprehend what it was at the time and put it from his mind.
'D something. Damo? no. David? no. Dom? no. Let's see there was the D, a definite A and an S, why must the last letter escape me... O, the last letter was O!!!. D-A-S-O... DASO!!!'
Upon his realisation of the name Merldot surged power into the stone he was attempting to break, which took the hint and exploded violently. It was like a fragmentation grenade going off in the confined space, bits of stone flew everywhere. Before he had time to comprehend what had happened a chunk of brick smacked directly into his forehead and the world went black before Merldot's eyes, well, blacker.

V watched intently as Mr-Kills-A-Lot got his backside handed to him on a plater by three teenagers with a Dr Seuss poem and promptly decided to never ever give the blonde dude enough time to write depressive poetry during any fight they may have. He felt the relatively light weight of Lacey on his back and danced a little on the spot to move her limp body up his back to a more comfortable position for his shoulders. He was sure the annoying black monster could carry her but apparently today was his day off or something so he sat smugly beside them watching the battle end.
The explosion did three things; sent the witches into a ‘moment’ together which V had no intention of interrupting because he gathered it was probably serious, woke Lacey up, and sent the crazy Kamikaze kid flying through the air past him into a wall. V knew this probably meant more work for him so he decided to dump one load and pick up another.
“Yo L, you alive?”
“Yeah” the pink haired girl muttered, “What happened?”
“What do you remember?” He asked casually, eyes ever so slightly flickering to Mr Shudders who spat the pole he’d absorbed out of himself like a javelin and sent it hurdling through the rumble intimidatingly.
“Not much” she admitted unhappily and V thought that he just might be able to forgive her for the whole stabbity thing. “Bout bugger all really after the bad guy starting singing.”
“Demon probably knocked you out.” He lied fluently.
“Thanks for not leaving me in the house remains”
“No prob” He rolled his shoulders, “Bad guy’s gone, I need to go rescue the trigger happy kid from the rubble, you stand?”
“Yeah sure” She let him lower her down and stood shakily. “I’m fine. Is Merl?”
“If he’s not dead yet he’s more immortal then I am” the vampire joked dryly moving back to clear away the wall pieces from about the unconscious boy. “Lucky, lucky, psycho.”
“I owe so many people right now.” Lace groaned. “My score board just got bigger.”
“Yeah well, you think you got problems?” V laughed, “That Daso guy killed every animal for miles; all the demons in town are gunna be furious when they find their kitten booty gone. Half the demon populace is now broke.”
“Sucks to be them” she sighed, watching the Davidson’s from afar.
“Sucks to be me.” V snorted quietly. He looked down towards Merldot and rolled his eyes. “I like you kid, but you look heavy…”
