8th Vult, 998 YK
Fineart d'Orien fails to report for duties in the WAWS (West Aundarian Waystation) office near Fairhaven. Two days later, he is officially pronounced missing, presumed dead. He was the local Orien official in charge of postal services to the Reaches.

Around the 22nd Vult, 998 YK
Reports of increased activity from the T'Reshala cult by the Gatekeepers.

27th Vult, 998 YK
Gaash'kala report failure to contain a demon or group of demons within the Wastes. Their identity and eventual fate is unknown, but an agent is sent to locate and retrieve Gar to deal with the situation.

28th Vult, 998 YK
Attack on Cranst. Includes first known attempt to use Khyber Dragonshards for presumably summoning related purposes, attempted in the basement of a Sovereign Host church. Results in the church's priests becoming undead. Attempt is assumed to have failed.

Only one person in the village survives the attack, which includes a curiously personal attack on the local Orien Post Office. Some cultists died in the attack too. The survivor, the local smithy by the name of Rik Strarm, is later rescued traumatised, but speaks of some kind of magical control that caused his fellow townsfolk to attack one another mindlessly (no use of available weapons).

3rd Zarantyr, 998 YK
"T'Reshala" arrives amidst the cult. Fineart hands over power (willingly?). Soon afterwards, Gatekeepers begin to make significant losses in territory and people.

9th Zarantyr, 998 YK
Fineart goes missing after some heated arguments between him and "T'Reshala".

18th Zarantyr, 998 YK
A large number (but not all) of the cultists depart from their base.

3rd Olarune, 998 YK - Campaign Starts
Party meet in a train crash. Tieflings are found just after they've finished doing some kind of ritual involving a stolen Khyber Dragonshard. The train, meanwhile, had been derailed by something with rather large claws. Theories abound about Phantasmal Killer spells.

The party travels to Starilaskur, where they meet the local Orien official, Destir d'Orien. He ordered the party to investigate the events.

7th Olarune, 998 YK
The departed cultists return to their base.
