Thanks, but no thanks. You lost me at:

'putting out an unfinished demo from 1992 is a bunch of crap and that's exactly what the record sounds like.
why even release it?'

Fine if you don't like the album. But your diplomatic skills are lacking, as are your marketing ones, in my opinion.

Well, James Fogle, you lost yet another listener after that last ad hominem attack.

It doesn't really care what wonderful music you make, since you're obviously completely lacking in tact and common sense. You truly have a lot to learn from Paddy McAloon... and not only musicwise.

I don't want to take anyones side in this fight, but I'd like to quote from Paddy's "Dublin":

"It's far harder to keep it up, than to tear it down"

I don't agree with his opinion. But it's an opinion, and that's why they are opinions. Because you don't HAVE to agree with it.

I love Fogle's music. I think it's wonderful.

say what you want. you know you dig my music. (that's a joke, relax)

i don't know why some people here take my opinion about the sprouts records personally.
it's just my opinion.
i didn't expect the new record to be good.
i like the 80's sprouts. jordan was a great record also.
i have been a mcaloon fan for a long time and know his genius.
his good music is unreal. his bad music is just horrible.
the new record is bad stuff, IN MY OPINION.
the acoustic versions on the new steve mcqueen are terrible, IN MY OPINION.
i also feel the same way about prince and todd rundgren. their good stuff is great. their bad stuff is really bad.
i write a lot of bad songs too.
i suck a lot too.
so fuckin what?

I don't think anyone takes your opinion personally, James, nor objects to you having one. The objectionable part is the way you express it: maybe if you tried a reasoned critique instead of just saying "this is a piece of crap" or "LCTWWM is a garbage record", you would get a more positive response. (Not telling people to stick things up their ass might also help. biggrin.gif)

(Also, this thread might have been better started in the "Other Music" section of the forum, no?)

Hi James ! I like your versions of Dublin, but in my opinion you donīt take too many risks in your "remake". Nice music .

PS : I could not disagree more with your comment about Acoustic SM , but well ...

Do we know for certain that 'james' is James Fogle?
