Groove to The Music, (Everyone Welcome!)
Esme Aliane

There she was, Esme Aliane, dressed in the most fantastic outfit, (or that's what she thought,) in the whole universe, dancing away as the clock striked midnight. Her heals were the color of silver and white, glistening in the colorful lights of the club. Two upside down quarter moons could be seen egraved on each heel of each heal. This made Esme stand a bit taller, at about five feet and six inches. The dress that she wore was an expensive one, a new trend. Had been shipped from France, and took up most of the girl's money.

Ah... yes, of course, the dress. It was white, bits of silver diamonds attached to it here and there. The dress was knee-long, and allowed the person who wore it to move about freely. Instead of a collar, there was a huge v-necked space, and on each of the shoulders, three-layered transparent silver fabric cascaded down. The dress itself seemed to be dazzling amongst all the other, seemingly bleak ones.

Esme's hair was going wild, fleeting in the air, as she grooved to the music. Step left, step right, turn around, and twirl. Some people stared at her, others just ignored her. What a nice beat, indeed. 'Dancing will help me keep the thoughts of the other senshi out of my mind...' Esme thought to herself, as she did another twirl, and did a flip in the air, landing back on her feet. Really, when she was thinking, people said Esme could do almost anything.

Esme was hoping that someone, maybe a senshi, would come to the club tonight. It'd be awesome to groove with people who really knew her. But, the one thing she was not wishing for, was for someone to attack. Her powers were almost drained. Perhaps by the finish of this dance, though, she'd regain some of her power. Suddenly, the song ended, and three people approached her. They asked her where she learned the flip, and she simply said that she did track and running. Then, slowly, a new song started, as the groove was new and stylish, the youngsters grooving to the beat, like almost everyone else inte Alleycat Club.

How long had it been since he was able to get out to a club, most nights he was unable to sneak out of the palace. Usually the guards were keeping a vigilant watch all around the palace and tonight was no different, but he had memorized their positions and at what times, but tonight was the first night that he could actually pull it off without getting caught and it was great.

It was kind of sad though being 22 years old and having to sneak out of his parents house, most guys his age had their own places and were living under their own rules. Everything was different for a heir to the throne though. Sometimes he wondered what it would be like to just exchange his position with a average normal person.

Entering into the club he looked at all the people dancing around him and smirked, his sapphire eyes hidden behind his sunglasses even though it was dark inside of the club. He felt more comfortable keeping them hidden from the people around him. Moving towards the bar he quickly ordered a drink and then leaned against the bar watching everyone dancing around him, not knowing who he was, not caring and enjoying it.

Esme Aliane felt herself being drawn to the bar. Why, she had wondered, for she never drank any liquor. Strange, she had just sat down on a chair, and ordered a 'Red Bull.' She watched Demetri at the other end of the bar, her eyes still for a second.

She felt a powerful source that came from him... And somewhat bond. Like Moon and Earth. They did have a bond, didn't they? She felt like she had known him in a past life, perhaps. Swinging the energy drink, as she grabbed it from the counter. She approached a girl sitting close by the young guy, as the girl she was talking to, clicked to her attention. This girl seemed to be a friend of Esme's... perhaps, for now...

This was probably the last thing that he should be doing as Prince of Earth, hiding in a bar and enjoying the drinks that kept coming with each time he ordered them, he didn't over indulge himself though. That was a habit he knew better then to get into, but no doubt if anyone in the court or his parents found out about this it would a huge scandal he would have to somehow save himself from.

Too lost in his own world, Demetri didn't notice that he had caught anyones attention, instead he kept his sunglass hidden eyes on the people that continued to dance around him. Enjoying the sight of their freedom and knowing that this was what his father strived for and what he too was aiming to keep. It was sacrificing his own freedom for that of the people of Earth.

It wasn't karaoke, but maybe, just maybe, Solange could unwind enough to enjoy someone else singing for once. She'd heard rumors that Esme was singing tonight, and she'd like to see the girl again. So, when Solange made her grand appearance (light on the grand) she made her way to the bar, where she ordered a Jack and Coke with lime and leaned against the bar to carefully sip at it. She scanned the crowd, looking for a familiar face, and wondered why she'd come.

She spotted her, then, in the crowd and waved. But Esme didn't notice, and Solange moved towards her, drink in hand. She smiled in greeting. "Hey, Esme." she greeted. "Mind if I join you?" She didn't wait for the okay, she just slid into her seat and sipped her whiskey. "How have you been?" she was smiling, though she wasn't sure why. Normally, settings like this made her nervous, especially showing up alone.

She leaned back a little. She was so glad it was Friday night: she had the whole weekend ahead of her in which to relax. She couldn't wait until she graduated and had time to breathe again. She wondered, idly, what that might be like.

"Oh, hi Solange!" Esme said with relief, seeing a familiar face. She was going to sing today, and she felt quiet tensed up. Why? She didn't know why. She had felt a presence of a very strong person. Someone... somewhat... special? But the, Esme asked herself, why afraid?

I am Sailor Moon, saviour of Crystal Tokyo. I'm the Moon Princess. But I'm also just, Esme - Ali - ane. Weird, huh? How one time, life could be good to you. It would love you, nurish you. Teach you. And then it would whip you, teaching the hardships of life. "So, why ya' here?" She asked Solange.

As he stood there sipping on his drinks where he was leaning against the bar, Demetri suddenly felt a strong force, two forces to be exact. Two seperate energies that he felt distinctly in the club, one seemed almost familar to him but the other he couldn't quite place. But neither of them seemed overly threatening about them.

Letting his sunglasse hidden eyes roam around the crowded club, he couldn't pinpoint where they were coming from so just remained where he was, his guard now up and wondering if he should leave or stay to try and find out exactly what the two forces were.

A slow song came on and Solange let her eyes drift half closed. One of her favorites, and she wanted to dance. Oh, too bad she'd come alone. She smiled at Esme and replied. "I just needed to get out and relax. It's been a long week. Glad to hear you're singing later, though. I used to sing with a band that plays here all the time, but I had to stop. School stuff." She sighed. She really missed that. It had been so calming, so soothing. She finally slid to her feet. "I'll be right back. This is one of my favorites, and I want to go heckle the drummer. He's an old friend." She left her drink, and made her way towards the stage, but something drew her attention elsewhere. She turned to her right and smiled, seeing the young man by himself.

She made her way to him instead. She approached from his left and smiled. "Hey." She wasn't usually bold or brave or forward, but she had the undeniable urge to do it. "Wanna dance?" It was a slow dance, and it was an intimate request. "It's one of my favorite songs, and I'm alone tonight. Please?" she was flirting! Well, she really wasn't. She just wanted to dance, and for some reason, she didn't want to leave him here alone.

She leaned back just a little, looking up a him. She wasn't that short, but still most men were taller than she was. For a moment, a passing moment, she thought she might recognize him, but the moment was gone and she closed her hazel eyes to the thought. She didn't know him, except perhaps in passing. She used to frequent this place: so she probably had seen him before. "I'm Solange, by the way."

He could almost feel her approaching him, it was as though the force he was feeling got strong with each step that she took towards him. Lifting his sapphire eyes to look at her, he was surprised when she walked right up to him and asked him to dance, a playful smirk danced upon his lips as he looked her over for a minute, having a hard time believe that force came from her.

Demetri would have had to be out of his mind to deny her request, he was alone anyway and she was wanting someone to dance with. It wouldn't hurt any to let loose and have more fun, usually when he was asked for a dance he denied, but he the strange feeling he got from her told him not to.

"It's nice to meet you Solange...I'm Demetri" He smiled at her as he held out his hand for her to take, even that seemed to be engrained into him from his training as a Prince. "And I would love to dance with you"

Solange was amazed at his pure presence, let alone his manners. She slid her hand into his and let him lead her towards the dance floor. She felt something the moment their skin touched, something that filled her with foreboding, but she couldn't place it. She had no word for that feeling, especially as it was gone a moment later.

The song was slow, so she turned to him and put her arms on his shoulders. An awkward first dance, maybe, but she wouldn't let that dim her. She smiled, a bright smile, and reveled at the strength in him. He had a firm presence, sure, but there was something else to him. She pushed those thoughts out of her mind, determined to just enjoy the dance even if it meant just pretending she was normal for five minutes.

"So, Dimitri," she managed over the music. Slow song, but it was still a band playing and they were rarely quiet. "I think I've seen you around before. Do you come here often?" She blushed a little when she realized how cheesy that sounded. "Ignore how terrible of a line that was. It was an honest question." She smiled at her own embarrassment.

Allowing her to lead him to the dance floor, Demetri was almost relieved it was a slow song, that was the best kind that he knew for his training in dancing way mostly in slow danced. Balls, parties and the like that had ever been thrown by the royal family never consisted of fast paced music.

Easily he wrapped his arms around her waist which caused their bodies to move closer together, but it wasn't a inappropriate distance for their first dance, that he made sure of. The last thing he needed was to come off as some strange creep.

"I come here every once in a while but not often"

The soft smile on his lips grew, he got out rarely and even more rare to a club like this but he usually came here when he was able to. For some reason he just enjoyed the atmosphere that the club offered to him. A change of pace from his everyday routines.

"I don't get out much unfortunately but when I do I come here"

Solange, distracted for a moment from this man, smiled in passing at the vocalist, another old friend, and wondered when they'd formed this particular band. The song was one that she knew well, but then again, bands were always forming and reforming on the local level: she'd been out of the circles long enough to lose track. She flashed another smile up at Dimitri and was glad that, for some reason, she was feeling fairly comfortable around him. Odd.

"This place isn't bad. There's a decent variety, but I have to favor the bands that play. I'm not a trance music kinda girl, so I avoid DJ nights." She laughed a little. "Not that I get out much." A guilty smirk. "I guess we're alike in that." She tossed her hair a little. "My excuse rests completely on college. I'm a senior, and trying to graduate on time. What's your excuse?"

Something... something about him screamed kinship, and she wanted to know what it was.

What was his excuse exactly, Demetri hated lying to people, to come right out and lie to their faces. After all there was a chance that they could end up finding out who he truely was in the end and if they labeled him as a liar that didn't look good for when he became King. He wanted and needed the people of Crystal Tokyo to believe in him, to have faith in him o their was no point.

"Family I'm afraid" He flashed a bright smile down at her "My family is very old fashioned and tradition and I'm to take over the head of my family and so I have strict rules to follow"

He wasn't lying he realized, it was all very much the truth, he just left out some details along the way. Though he had a feeling that it wouldn't matter to this woman just who he was, again he got a wave of ...something crashing over him. He just couldn't place what it was exactly, he had almost instantly felt comfortable around her like he could tell her his entire life story without even stopping to think about it.

"Family's important though." she replied. She had none of her own, left. After her mother's death, she'd gone into the world alone. Her mother had no living family, and her father-... well, she didn't have one for all intents and purposes. Sure, some guy had provided the seed, but he hadn't provided anything since. She wasn't bitter, not really, but it hurt sometimes.

But she didn't let that thought flicker through her mind for more than a second. She wouldn't let it ruin her evening: she hadn't let it ruin much else in her life, either. "But I can understand the need to get away sometimes." Substitute family for work and school, in Solange's mind, and you had a similar problem. One that wasn't so easily remedied for either of them.

"Hence, tonight. So, Dimitri, let's both forget about our commitments tonight, and just have a good time, alright?" She grinned and stepped away, but caught his hand. The song ended, but she wasn't going to let him walk away just yet. "I've got someone I want you to meet! She gently tugged him towards her table, before she released his hand and returned to Esme.

"So sorry, but I have someone I want you to meet." she apologized. It had been rude to leave Esme sitting at the table alone, but it had only been for the length of a song, after all. She gestured to Dimitri. "Esme, meet Dimitri. Dimitri, Esme." She slid back into her seat and motioned for Dimitri to pull one up as well.

Family was important. Perhaps she was right, his mother was very important to him as she had always been the one to support him and ease his worries and stand up for him against his father's rather. But his father...that was a different story, a man who wanted so much from Demetri that he was often left disappointment by his son's performance.

At her suggestion to forget all commitments and have a good time Demetri had to smile, it was a brilliant suggestion and one that he was going to take to heart. For the rest of the night he would forget where he came from or why he was there and instead just enjoy whatever it brought him.

Lifting a eyebrow at her wanting him to meet someone, Demetri simply shrugged and allowed himself to be pulled along towards a table where there was another girl sitting. There it was, yet another force that he had felt earlier before Solange had approached him for a dance. Staring at the other for a moment, he realized he was probably being rude and let a smile flicker over his lips and he let his body fall into the seat that he had pulled up to the table.

"It's a pleasure to meet you"
