Description: with TS Promotions

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Sunday Edition, one of Nashville’s favorite groups, recently reached a promotional agreement with TS Promotions.

TS Promotions, founded in 2005, began as a desire by one of the gospel industry's most recognized and decorated promoters to bridge the gap of Gospel and Country artists and songs for radio listeners nationwide. With extensive knowledge of radio, having begun her career as an on-air personality for a country station in Central Illinois, Theresa Smith brought her passion for music to Nashville in 1998 and took the National Radio Promotions position for one of the most prominent Christian record labels in the business today, Daywind Records. There she garnered over 20 #1 songs for artists who now claim Dove and Grammy nods year after year.

Theresa Smith and TS Promotions began promoting Sunday Edition’s current single, “Absolutely Free,” to radio earlier this year.

“We have known Theresa for many years,” mentioned Deon Unthank of Sunday Edition. “She is one of the best and hardest working radio promoters in the business. We’re so excited to be working with her.”

Theresa commented, “This is going to be so much fun working with Deon, Chris and Amy. They do an amazing job with everything they do. ‘Absolutely Free’ is a great song for radio.”

“Absolutely Free” is the group’s fifth single from their critically acclaimed and breakout recording Absolutely Free. Every single from the album (including “He Keeps Lifting,” “Call On Jesus,” “Big God,” and “Naaman”) has charted nationwide. “Naaman” spent multiple weeks at #1 on the GospelMusicTimes.com Top 40 Fan Chart. A sixth single from the album will be released later this summer.

Sunday Edition is in the beginning stages of recording a brand new album. Tracks for the new album, tentatively titled Sunday Worship, were recorded by Bobby McAllister for Salem Sound in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Sunday Worship is being produced and arranged by group members Chris Unthank and Deon Unthank.

Sunday Worship will feature six hymns and six worship songs in a stripped-down, piano-only setting. The album will also include one full-band recording, “Love Song”, which was written by up and coming songwriter and worship leader Leah Lowrance. The track features the Turning Point Assembly of God worship band and was produced and engineered by Aaron Minick.

Vocals for the new recording will be recorded at Square One Studio in Franklin, Tennessee next month. Sunday Worship has a tentative release date of late summer.

Sunday Edition is currently looking for songs for their upcoming mainline release. That new album will begin production in late 2009.
