Arctic Village
Aside from the fortresses of the four Holy Beasts, this small village is the only official spot of civilization on the map of the Digital World. It mainly is inhabited by Digimon used to colder climates, such as Yukidarumon or Kensekimon, though Digimon from other parts of the Digital World may migrate here as well. One type of Digimon you rarely ever see in this village, though, is the Dragon type. These northern conditions prove to be too much for their cold blood.

Arctic Plain
At the very northern tip of the Digital World, the Arctic Plain is the coldest spot in the world. For several miles, all it is is pure, frozen tundra. Even in the hottest days of summer, it reaches subzero temperatures, making this the perfect place for ice-oriented Digimon to live in.

Northern Plain
Not to be mistaken with the Arctic Plain, the Northern Plain is a long, wide strip of field separating the beginnings of tundra and the downslope of mountains. It's generally cold here, and winter snows can be several feet deep, but in the summer the snow melts to reveal lush tall grass and flowers. There are no trees, and standing in the midst of the plain you can gaze around you quite a ways.

Northern Mountains
Though not quite as wide as the Western Mountain range, the Northern Mountains are the highest and steepest in the Digital World. The shortest of them being nearly as tall as Everest, few are able to ascend them without being forced down by the lack of oxygen. Though some aerial Digimon populate the higher peaks, most of its inhabitants live farther down near the flatter mountain passes. Even so, there are very few that do live here, making it a great place to go if you're trying to keep a low profile.

Genbu Temple
Hidden within the mountain range of the North in a lush, green valley that holds a sacred temple. Here Xuanwumon, the eldest of the four Holy Beasts and guardian of the North, lives along with several other peaceful Digimon. The temple has no fortifications, but as it is nearly impossible to find, an attack has never been anticipated.

Coniferous Forest
Once the Northern Mountains die down into flatlands toward the center of the Digital World's main continent, the Coniferous Forest sprouts up. It's a vast forest of pines, spruces, and just about any other needle-bearing tree you can think of. The forest is abundant with all sorts of Digimon species, though it's more active at night than in the daytime.
