set in hogwarts, of course, it's currently september 1996 and all of the students are getting ready to return to hogwarts aboard the hogwarts express and begin a new school year. the weather is sunny and warm, but growing steadily cooler as fall approaches.

THE GREAT HALL
this is where you come to eat your meals or when the school hosts a special event. it is a huge chamber with an enchanted ceiling and hundreds of floating candles. there are four huge tables, one for each house, and another in the back for the professors and staff.

one of the most important reasons you come to hogwarts is to learn magic, and this is where you go to learn. there's a variety of different subjects, each interesting in their own way and taught by their own, unique professor. have fun and remember to turn in your homework!

one of the biggest library's in the wizarding world, you can find information on almost any subject here unless it's banned. students come here to study, read, and catch up on their homework, amongst other things.

the towers are always a popular spot amongst students, whether your sneaking up to the astronomy tower to be alone with someone, the north tower to look at the stars or the owlery to send a letter or just alone to read in peace and quiet. be careful not to get caught if its

hogwarts sprawling grounds include many places to walk around with friends or sit along with lots of shady trees to read under or work on some homework or sit with your favorite guy or girl.

THE BLACK LAKE
the big black lake that can be found in the center of the grounds is a favorite amongst the students. just be careful not to get too close to the edge or get too comfortable swimming in it lest the giant squid grab you.

THE FORBIDDEN FOREST
the forest is supposed to be forbidden but you can usually find some students sneaking around inside trying to find some dangerous animal or proving their bravery on a bet. watch your back though, there are dangerous beasts in this forest.

THE GREENHOUSES
the hogwarts greenhouses are full of many different, and some dangerous plants. there are three, each rising in the level of dangerous plants it holds, for example three is more dangerous than one. beware the venomous tentacula, it's teething!

the only completely magical community in great britain, hogsmeade is the favorite weekend trip of all of the 3rd years and up in hogwarts. there are tons of great places to go like zonko's, the three broomsticks, honeydukes, and more! the three broomsticks : the shrieking shack : madam puddifoots

DIAGON ALLEY
you can get here through the leaky cauldron by tapping a special brick in the back wall. here is where you go shopping for your school supplies and various other things including wands, brooms, and pets.

KNOCKTURN ALLEY
this less-popular shopping area is usually inhabited by shady characters and isn't somewhere you want to wander into if you don't belong and don't know your way around. odd, dingy pubs and weird, dangerous shops populate it's streets, including the infamous borgin & burkes. like them, the shops around here will be willing to sell or buy anything illegal...for the right price.

THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC
this is the hub of the wizarding government. all of the various offices of ministry employees can be found here. there are several different levels and the auror offices, magical law enforcement, and courtrooms can be found here, amongst other ministry-related things!

the feared wizarding prison has just suffered a massive outbreak and is no longer under the guard of the dementors, which have gone to join voldemort. the prisoners here all hope to be freed by voldemort soon, well the death eater prisoners. amongst them is lucius malfoy.
