Forum Guidelines
At The Royal Ring, we want to try to make this a place for as many people as possible to have a good time, enjoy talking about Stephanie, wrestling, and almost anything else. As such, we want to bring to your attention to a few things we consider important. Please understand that we are just people, like you, and can't always be on top of things in a matter of a few seconds, and that we have to enforce these guidelines for everyone. So, please don't take it personally if we ask you to change something, or if we have to talk to you about a post. 1. Language We're pretty open to what we allow here, but the general rules of language is to keep the blatent swearing away from your posts. Also, please remember that this is an English language site, so we ask that you stick to English here. We understand that considering that Steph is known worldwide, we'll have a few non-English words here and there, but we try to stick to English as a whole. Remember, we can't run a site if we don't understand what's being said, right? 2. Signatures Signatures must be in either JPG or GIF format and be no larger then the following: * Sigs: Maximum size of 400x200 and 200k Only one signature/image is allowed. The sizes are these so they don't stretch people's screens, use up too much space, or make pages long to load. Not allowed are PNG, TIF, RAW or BMP, please, or anything other then GIF or JPG. If yours is bigger then these, we will ask you to change it, or substitute the "too big" banner in place of your sig. Please do not put the same oversized banner back. And no, there's no leway here, not even a pixel over. We have to enforce this the same for everyone. You are only allowed to use your own avatars and banners. Please do not use another RR member's avatar/banners without permission, and do not link from someone else's server without permission from that webmaster. You can use up to THREE lines of text, no matter how small you make the text. 3. Sexual Content It is known on many forums that posting porn is a big no-no. This forum is for users all over the world that hold different opinions on what is classified as sexual, but to break it down easy. Please, don't post pornographic images and don't talk about anything with sexual contents either. For example, no posting any pictures of a photoshoped Stephanie or anyone else, either. This rule is just like swearing: both aren't accepted. If you feel the need to post something that might be sexual and you are unsure PM an admin and we'll give you the 'green' or 'red' light for it. The only acception is talking about your sexuality. We don't want you to give us details of what you like to do with the any sex. But we won't get annoyed at you if you tell us you are gay/lesbian/bi/metro/trans. Whatever you are is cool. Nor does this mean you have to tell us. Basically, we don't have the rule of 'never talk about sexuality' on this forum. 4. General Behavior Please be considerate of others' feelings and ideals. No putting down other artists (which doesn't mean you can't say you don't like them, just don't insult them outright), no forum wars with other forums. Please use great consideration when talking about sensitive topics such as people's sexuality, racec, politics and religion and above all, please respect the other members. You are responsible for everything that happens in your account! Please do not share your account information or password with anyone. Making a new account is quick, easy and free. 5. Double Posting & Spamming While the system does a great job helping double posts from appearing, please don't post the same message more then once, or in multiple forums. This also goes for posting messages that are very similar to others. Take a look through the forum to see if the same topic has been posted, and add to it instead if it's already there. If no one has replied to your topic, please don't keep posting in the thread to "bump" it. Not everyone is on the forum at the same time, so allow others the chance to read it. Also, please don't continiously reply to one of the "What are you doing now" type threads until someone else has. Spamming to up your post count isn't welcome. In contrast, if you wish to reply with different subjects to the same thread, please put them all in one reply instead of multiple replies all in a row. Posting so much to just raise your post count isn't acceptable. If you would like to know how to put multiple quotes in one reply, just ask, and we'll be very happy to help. 6. For Sale We're sorry, but we do not allow "for sale" posts at RR. This is mainly due to possible legal problems if a deal falls through. You can link to your eBay auctions, but please don't use RR as an announcement area for all your auctions. 7. File Sharing Please do not post links to any copyrighted software, cracks, or anything of the type. We do allow sharing of Steph-esque music/clips on here as an exception to help spread Steph's fanbase to the fans outside of U.S that have a hard time getting it, but not anything futher. Please support Stephanie especially, as this forum wouldn't exist without her. So bottom line: Please do not post or ask for other wrestling clips or copyrighted software. Only Steph media and the like is allowed. Members who download files from the site must remove the music from their computer within 24 hours of download unless you've already purchased it and therefore own it. 8. What will we do if our guidelines are not followed? Death. Plain and simple, a painful death. No, seriously... We have to handle it on a case by case basis. Some things are not as bad as other things, and the way a person handles it in general can bear greatly on how we react to it. We also have to take into account if there have been any complaints from other users. In most cases we will simply warn you to not do what happened again. If it you're warned 3 times, you'll be banned for 2 weeks. Repeated problems will result in a permanent ban. In extreme cases a user can be banned straight away without 3 strikes. This is up to the staff’s discretion. If a user has been banned for good, they are no longer welcome to the forum anymore. If they try to come back to the forum to harass users or staff, we will report your IP address to your ISP, especially if they threaten the forum. Users caught helping a banned member post things on the forum, or to “secretly” return during the ban, will also get their account suspended for 2 weeks - no questions asked. The banned user will also get an extra WEEK added to their 2 week period. The user who helped post the comments will not be warned, as we ask everyone to read the rules so you should know this already. Anyone caught using a PROXY or SPOOFING to get around being banned will have their user account banned for GOOD, regardless of if they are already banned or not. 9. Privacy The information in your account is considered private, except for what has been entered in your public profile that all can see. We will not sell any of your information, nor will we share it in any other way without your consent. We will only use your e-mail address if we need to contact you for forum related matters. We will also never ask you for your password, so please don't give it out to anyone at all who asks for it. The staff of RR cannot be held responsible for what users upload to the forum. The users themselves are the ones held responsible for their actions. Hosted for free by InvisionFree (Terms of Use: Updated 7/7/05) | Powered by Invision Power Board v1.3 Final © 2003 IPS, Inc.
