I tell him more than I tell Emme or Lily, and we see each other fairly often, but I don't know. I guess we could be best friends, if we used that labeling. We don't, though. He's my favorite friend. The one that I have late-night conversations with at the lake's edge, the one that I can always count on. He's just the kind of boy that actually does what's right for you, rather than what you want. I appreciate that. I guess I've always had a certain bit of feelings for the boy - but then there's the matter of Sirius, too. It's a love triangle that I don't plan on entangling anymore than I already have."

"Emme and I have been best friends since day one at Hogwarts. Well, Emme, Lily, and I, anyway. The three of us were like... literally inseparable. Sure, we have our differences; granted, I doubt that Lily would ever talk to any of the Marauders, let alone befriend them... ha. But either way, our differences are what bring us together, I suppose. I don't know, though; I don't think that Emme thinks anything of it, but the whole triangle between Emme, Sirius, and I kind of bugs me. I mean, Sirius and I have been off-and-on for as long as I can remember, to the point where love was considered numerous times... and here, Emme has slept with him. I mean yeah, Sirius and I have... done things. But honestly, at least it was out of feeling and not just teenage lust. I guess that's the only thing that really bugs me about Emme. Not that I don't love her. I'm just not sure how to act about that, I guess. Regardless, she's my best friend. I rest in complete confidence knowing that I know absolutely everything about her, likewise as she does with me. We'll grow old together - just you wait. Lily will look after us. Teheeeee."

"Well, what can I say? Mara is my best (and pretty much only) female buddy here at Hogwarts. I met her during class towards the beginning of first year, and we started hanging out together a lot: at the lake, the quidditch pitch, and occasionally forsaking our house tables and eating with each other. We're not quite inseparable, probably because of our different houses, but I still love her to death. I've even swallowed my pride and gone shopping with her at Hogsmeade-Mara makes pretty much anything fun. We have a little bit of house rivalry because of our positions one the different quidditch teams, but it's all very friendly and never really gotten in the way of our friendship. Both of us are short, but don't let that fool you. I'll beat anybody up who messes with my Mara."
