"Who the hell is Mercey Magdalyn? Oh, shit, wait. Are you talking about Mercey from high school? I was a senior – the quiet guy that mouths off when you get in his face – I was the guy to watch all throughout high school, until she came along. She was freakin’ loud, obnoxious, and rude. She mouthed off just to mouth off – and took the heat off me. I don’t remember whose dumbass idea it was to hook us up, but somehow we ended up as that couple that was together just to piss off the entire rest of the school. And man were we ever good at pissing people off – come to think of it, I’m pretty sure we pissed each other off just as quickly as we could everyone else. I really hated that bitch by the time I graduated – which is about the time we broke up and completely erased her sorry ass from my memory. “God. What the fuck am I supposed to say about Thalia? She’s just another one of those crazies that grew up here in Gambit City. I swear, if there was any place that turned out the mentally unstable, it’s got to be Gambit. Not that I think she’s mentally unstable, but you know – too many damn women around me and I’m going to have a heart attack. Especially women like Thalia. She’s Mercey’s better half (unfortunately for me, I met them both around the same time), but I really would rather see them separately than together. In high school, there was this obvious undercurrent between us – even when Mercey was around. I can’t say for sure whether I cheated on Mercey or not, but if I did, it would have been with Thalia. Today, she doesn’t have much of a problem with the whole ‘cop’ routine – I think she actually gets turned on by it, as weird as that sounds. I don’t talk to her as much as I should – truth be told, I like to avoid her at times just because we’ve got that similar history that Mercey and I share (look how that’s working out…). Would I hesitate to arrest her? Maybe… Just because she’s a hell of a lot better than most the people I knew growin’ up and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think she was one of the better lookin’ ones too. If you want the truth, we’ve got this love-hate thing going on that would probably make me arrest her then drop her off on the corner because I like the chick, but I can’t stand to be around her for long periods of time."

"High school was an interesting time for me. I met abrasive and obnoxious Thalia and Mercey, but, I also met Suzie (whom I refuse to believe is related to Thalia in any way). She was that quiet girl that no one was going to take a second look at – immediately, I liked her. It took a few tries to really connect with her, but somehow we managed to click. To this day, I think of her like a little sister – and I damn well treat her better than my own. And, contrary to popular Cartel rumor, we never had a ‘thing’ – we’re just friends. Not like any of those idiots can even fathom to entertain something as logical as being ‘just friends’ with someone. But, can you blame them? A Cartel heiress and a dirty cop don’t exactly make for Sunday good brunch company. There’s always the possibility of a storm on the horizon, but I don’t think either one of us really care too much about that – at least I don’t. She’s seen me through the abuse, the cop camps and the return to Gambit, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her."

History: "Ooh, Detective Reed, now there's a bastard I have some kind of history with. I met him in my Freshman year of High School, his Senior year. He was that loner, quiet, bookish guy with an attitude, the one everyone seemed to be watching -- until I came into the picture, at least. I took the attention from him, gave him some solitude without realizing it, and we were sort of forced together back then. I had no idea he'd end up part of the fuzz way back when, so we had a thing, a little relationship to spite everyone else. We were that kick-ass couple that annoyed the shit out of everyone no matter who they were, and that included each other; man, did he get on my nerves! The most annoying sonofabitch I've ever met, seriously. We broke up, parted ways, whatever the hell you want to call it, and I assumed I'd never talk to the man again. Now that I've begun reforming the Sharks, giving the dumbass gang a brain of the operation, I've been getting into more and more trouble with the damned fuzz than ever before, and because of such I've been seeing more of that bastard, Reed. Damn him, he still looks as infuriatingly good as ever; odd, considering it's been oh, what, eight years since I've talked to the guy? But yeah, I've had more and more run-ins with him lately, and I don't like it. He's been trying to handcuff me recently, and whether that's for official detective business or his own personal pleasure, I can't honestly say I'm sure."

History: "Oh, baby! Don't even get me started on this fucker. I really thought the Fuzz was okay, as long as they stayed out of my affairs, and this guy just happens to catch me, like, doing one of my things. You know, with the gun in hand. I didn't even see the guy coming, I give him credit for that, but he ruined my job! He had the nerve to shake me down for all the information I had, too. Needless to say, I was left with pretty sour feelings after that towards him. Towards the Fuzz, in general. Fast forward to when Mercey and I became like two peas in a pod, and like....she introduced us. I think my brain might have melted, because Mercey blabs about this guy all the time. I have to listen to Reed THIS, Reed THAT, hate SEX. And this was the guy? It took me a long time to figure out why the hell Mercey would waste her time on the guy. After a while, though, I guess I kind of warmed up to him. He still bugs the fuck outta me, but Mercey says he's good. Well. You know what kind of good I mean. I don't think he'd be good to have as an enemy, so I try to stay on his good side as much as possible. Nyeh."
