Jane Austen’s famous novel Pride and Prejudice has inspired several motion pictures, as well as other novels, games, and songs. And it has also inspired this role play.

The Forsters are a middle class family living in Meryton, a small town in the UK. There are five daughters: Helen, Amelia, Nora, Madeleine, and Olivia. When Charlie McAlister moves to Meryton, he brings his sisters, Alison and Rebecca, Rebecca’s husband Michael, and his own best friend, Will, with him. The whole bunch meets each other at a party in Meryton, to mixed reactions.

Eventually Charlie McAlister and Helen Forster fall in love, while Will Gardner and Amelia Forster deeply dislike one another. Meanwhile, the Forster family friend, Cody Paine, is trying to woo one of the Forster sisters. At the same time, Olivia is having “relations” with a student teacher who used to date her sister. And in the middle of the family, Madeleine is trying to find a way to get back at her sister for stealing the man they both had a crush on, and Nora is trying to find her voice.

Suddenly Will Gardner throws everything off by telling Amelia that he really loves her. Alison and Rebecca manage to separate Charlie and Helen, Cody marries Amelia’s best friend, and Olivia is thinking of running off with her teacher. What is going to happen to them?
