Well, I'm guessing everyone's seen my SC10 (and if you want a go, come over while I'm practicing with it, and I'll be happy to let you have a go biggrin.gif), and now Chris has an SC10, Phil and Jack have a pair of SC10's coming soon, and David Fox and Luke Y are itching to get one. smile.gif

Just some simple rules to keep them all looking scale, handling scale, going scale (because most of the point is that they look awesome).

Chassis
2WD Short Course trucks only. At the moment, the cars have to be the Associated SC10, HPI Blitz, Traxxas Slash and Losi Strike. Ansmann and Kyosho are going to be joining the SCT class later this year/early 2010. 2WD Stadium trucks don't count, as the wheelbase are shorter.

Average prices (as of Oct 09):

SC10 - £170 kit, £230 RTR
Blitz - N/A kit, £220 RTR
Slash - N/A kit, £180 RTR
Strike - N/A kit, £170 RTR

Electrics
19t brushed or 10.5 brushless. Thats what other clubs run, thats what they run at Nationals in USA as its simple to police, and is just a bit more power than the truck can handle before it gets lairy. laugh.gif RTR kits that come with motors lower than 19t (like the Blitz, the Slash etc) are OK to run as they come, but if you want to replace the motor, it'll need to be either the same as the kit, or a 19t brushed/10.5 brushless.

For the record, the RTR versions come with the following:

SC10 - 17t brushed, rebuildable 540
Blitz - 15t brushed, sealed 540
Slash - 12t brushed, sealed 550
Strike - 12t brushed, sealed 550

All will be about the same as decent race spec 19t brushed. smile.gif

Tyres
Short Course Truck tyres only. The sidewall is smaller on the outside edge than the inside edge, so you can spot SCT tyres easily. Any SCT tyre is allowed, but softer compounds WILL wear out much quicker than kit tyres, so I'd hope everyone sticks to kit tyres. It looks more scale as theres more power than grip. wink.gif

Anything else
Batteries, 7.4v max. Radio gear is open. No minimum weight, though this may change if it turns out one truck RTR is miles quicker than others.

If you've got a 2 or 4WD buggy, you're welcome to join in the fun with a 19t or 10.5 motor, but your points won't count for the leagues. smile.gif And its not just Newark running them, the West Bridgford Indoor Off Road Series are running them one Saturday every month, as well as each Friday that Newark aren't on.
