Title: Rhiea Sul
Description: Barkity Barkity Bark Bark Bark
XxAngeldustxX - January 27, 2005 11:01 PM (GMT)
Character Name: Rheia Sul'
Race: Half Sivlan Elf/Half Men of Gondor (Going to the elf side)
Age: 109 years old
Gondorian Steel Chestplate - A chestplate made of steel bearing the white tree.
Niralath's Mirkwood Elven Bow - A shorter bow made of dark yew for use in dense woods.
Gondorian Citadel Guard's Cloak - A black silver lined cloak with tiny symbols of stars around the silver line on the bottom.
Niralath's Steel Elven Long Sword - A well balanced sword can be used with one or two hands.
Opposed to her original silvan elve look when she just began traveling Middle-Earth Rhiea has changed her appearence to a more Gondorian appearence. Her straight long dark red hair has been shortened to her shoulders. Rhiea's eyes are light blue and she wears two earings that are shaped as a golden leave. Rhiea still keeps her dark green dress that reaches down to her ankles for casual wear. On her waist is a belt that she has worn since the beggining of her journey. The belt carries a small sack of gold, some ingredients of medical use in another small sack which has a small green leaf symbol printed on it. Rhiea has also adapted a more warrior appearence, there's two leather straps that carries a Gondorian Long Sword and Eaolas's Elven Longsword and their sheaths. Since Rhiea is a crossbreed between a Gondorian man and a Mirkwood Elve, her ears are not as sharp as those of pure Elven blood while her figure was much more slender than a body figure of a normal Gondorian woman.
Rhiea's birthplace was in the depths of Mirkwood, in the lands of Wilderlands near to Erebor and the Mistymountains. Her mother was a Sivlan Elve who fell in love with a Citadel Guard of Gondor, Anorion and soon had Rhiea. Although Anorion didn't have much time in Mirkwood and left a while after Rhiea was born, where he and some of his fellow Gondorians was slayed by a horde of Orcs. In all of Mirkwood, Rhiea was special, unlike many of other of her fellow Silvan Elves, she was a crossbreed between an elve and a man. As a side effect, this caused Rhiea to lead another life, a life of difference.
Rhiea was much critized everyday by her "friends" since she was inperfect, she was much clumsier. Her mother was mostly outside working leaving Rhiea alone most of the time with some bread on the table for her snack and dinner. Rhiea's only slight resemblence of a family was usually looked down by others, since her mother was a alcoholist and she was a halfbreed. Although when Rhiea was still young she would watch sentinels and archers practicing archery while eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner and maybe once or twice every six months a foreigner would stop by.
As she continued to grow up, everybody continued to find her more different. It was only shortly when Rhiea was 70, where she met Niralath, a sentinel that changed her life forever. Niralath was a sentinel that protected Rhiea's home, he was most known for his skills during a small battle near the River Anduin before going to Mirkwood. Niralath offered to teach Rhiea the skills of archery and swordsmenship. After breakfast everyday, Rhiea would run outside to see if Niralath has any free time and get some lessons for half an hour during his break. Rhiea didn't show much progress but her determination and faith appealed to him to continue her lessons.
Time continued passing, everyday the sounds of the bow strung outside of Rhiea's home while her mother was at the tavern drinking her heart out. It was Rhiea's eighteenth birthday, when she graduated from Niralath's lessons and awarded with a Elven bow and an Elven long sword that was used by Niralath. Rhiea cried in joy and returned home getting ready to leave Mirkwood and finally take another step in her dreams, although, surprised, she found her mother sitting down in front of the table. Her mother wasn't drunk, which pleased Rhiea, she walked up toward her and gave her a necklace, it was silver and bore the symbol of the white tree. "You were not born as a warrior, nor will you ever be one, but if it is your dream than I will not stop you." she said and first in Rhiea's life, her mother gave her a hug and a kiss.
Rhiea began traveling, first going to Helmsdeep in the lands of Rohan. She along with many elves stood at the walls of Helmsdeep fending off waves of Uruk-Hai, not knowing her own skill level. There she met a man, by the name of Remer where she continued studying the art of war. But was shortly dismissed because of her lack of progression, though that's where she met the love of her life, Elenthil, an Elve who saved her from a band of Orcs.
Shortly after, was the battle of Middle Earth, the battle between good and evil. Rhiea fought in Minas Tirith, for the fate of Middle Earth and her father. Her skills have improved alittle since she began but still required much more skill before she could be in real combat. Rhiea tried to save a Citadel Guard but failed afterwards, although he gave his armor to Rhiea as a gift for trying and also his sword to avenge him. There in Minas Tirith Rhiea acquired many possessions from the dead to properly arm herself, although she did not take part in the battle of Pelenor fields. After the battle in Minas Tirith, Rhiea lost Elenthil, she could not find him after the battle. Now Rhiea searches for Elenthil in the lands of Middle Earth.

Actually, the Misty Mountains and Erebor are on completely opposite sides of Mirkwood. Also, I can sum up the comments from your app at Old ME.
1) You MUST choose whether you are all Elvish or all Human. You cannot be both.
2) I am still extremely against the half-elf thing as her mother would never have children outside of marriage, and it took ten years of being "engaged" before the marriage, and then they would have children. But her mother would be well aware that if she married Anorion she would be without love for the rest of her life. Which is eternity. So though I allow it under pressure, I am not completely for it. Though possible, it's as likely as if the U.S.A would make peace with the world and surrendering to Al-Quaida.

And when choosing if she's fully Elven or fully Human you automatically decide if she was kept by the elves of Thranduil, or if they gave her to the woodmen (or even the men of Dale) for safekeeping. There's no way a human would be permitted to live in the halls of Thranduil.

Well I guess this is the end for my girl ^^;
Well anyways, If you're really opposed to Rhiea being half than I'm fine with that, but I'm not changing her which means, you're not going to accept her, am I correct? I've been having problems rping her anyways, (once I cried lol). Well Rhiea runs a pretty screwed up life, first is elenthil, we all know that Elrond is gone and not coming back, nor is his character going to be taken and rped by somebody else. Meaning that Rhiea is now doing a worthless search for her only love elenthil, and even how hard and long she tries she won't find him, no matter what.
Secondly of all, Rhiea has been my character for like ever, she has always been half elven and half man, and to me this is now like how we breath air. I still remembered when I first submitted Rhiea through Middle Earth, it was so crappy I laughed til I stopped. But then Novy accepted it, and there I continued and actually improved my literature, and still now I'm taking English classes instead of college...since I can't go to college......
Well anyways, thanks for wasting maybe 7-10 minutes reading this, but if you must, you may delete Rhiea and pretend she was killed by Orcs or something.

You're overreacting. Just say that she's a man or elf. She's still technically a half and half because of her parentage. This won't affect your Role Playing much at all.
And about the Elenthil thing... just... get over it... and move on.
Tar Aryndil - February 4, 2005 04:58 PM (GMT)
Elenthil's gone! *shakes Angeldust* Gone, I tell you! GONE!
And you are overreacting. If you simply make her either Elf or Man(Thranduil's Halls or the Woodmen/Dale/Gondor/Rohan/Whatever) we'll be happy. Besides, it's not too big a change. You can be a friend of the Elves if you live with the Edain, or a friend of Men if you choose to be with Thranduil's folk. But you will have to make a change. Arwen, Elladan, Elrohir, Elrond, Eärendil, they all made that decision. So did all the Peredhil. But they were still children of both races.
And if it makes you feel better, I think you are a marvellous writer! Though a little stubborn, you still are. And as far as Elenthil goes, it would be an interesting element that your love is lost and cannot be found again. It could be fun RP-wise, too.
But none of this means you have to spark Rhiea's bootay out the window. Just a few changes here and there, and you are good to go! No, wait. There's one more change. If you choose her to be a daughter of Men, she must be older than, say, 150-200 years. Which would kinda place her back in history. Which can be inconvenient. I've said enough. Speak or stay silent, thee below my merciful , balanced weights of doom/salvation/neutrality(For Neutrality instructions, call the UN).

Sorry guys, I was over reacting, I was in a hurry and I wrote this in 7 AM >.< and let's just say it's one of those "times" for me. For all of those that havn't caught this yet, I'm female, wow! So you get it....well, I was not thinking straight, I thought you meant as in changing Rhiea to full men or full elf.....sigh......i'm so pissy in the morning....
Tar Aryndil - February 5, 2005 12:51 AM (GMT)
Hehehe, I understand you. All I meant was that she, as the other Half-elves, had to make a decision on whether she would be counted among Elves or Men. Either way she'd have all the advantages and disadvantages of her kinsmen.
XxAngeldustxX - February 15, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
among Elves, but I wanted like the renewed version of Rhiea to have a more Gondorian look,
Tar Aryndil - February 15, 2005 02:04 PM (GMT)
Yes, but she can't be 20 years old either. An Elf being 20 years old would be more like a human being 4-5 years old.
Aaaand, yes, I hope you've gotten yourself coffee this morning, since I need you to change your history and description and whatnot. And remember - Elves in singular form is elf, not elve.
XxAngeldustxX - March 8, 2005 08:06 AM (GMT)
So...umm..what do you want again?
Nova6 - March 8, 2005 01:34 PM (GMT)
Oh, uh, I don't know.
Tar Aryndil - March 8, 2005 01:59 PM (GMT)
1) She must be older than 80-100 years.
2) Mirkwood Elves don't learn Quenya anyway. There would be nobody there to teach it, as nobody there knew it.
3) Change the History where it says that she grew faster. It wouldn't be possible.
XxAngeldustxX - March 8, 2005 02:22 PM (GMT)
There she's 90, though....how abou tth eother age stuff? I don't understand Elven Age system, and I changed the rest!!
Tar Aryndil - March 8, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
Elves are little children at the age of 50, and should be "adults" at 100-150. You might imagine yourself how slow they grow during their first century.
Care to explain what you meant with "the other age stuff"? I'm afraid I didn't quite understand that.
XxAngeldustxX - March 8, 2005 10:42 PM (GMT)
I mean like, how old would an elf be to be like a 12 years old for the human age system.
Nova6 - March 8, 2005 11:20 PM (GMT)
Basically, elves age slowly up to 100, and then they really don't age at all.
So if you want to be an adult character, you'll need to be over 100 years of age.
Tar Aryndil - March 10, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
12 years old? 70-80 years old, I'd bet.

Looks good, post to confirm.
