OVERVIEW
SVF-113 was formed on July 7, 2055, as a tactical fighter squadron attached to the UNS Shogun equipped with recycled VF-11C Thunderbolt fighters. The main role of Striker Squadron is to provide support to SVF-77 "Wildfire" squadron. UN Fighter Command foresaw possible contact with rogue Zentraedi in the largely-unexplored Sigma Region, and equipped Striker Squadron with one VF-11D fighter equipped for Sound Energy Warfare. At present, the squadron is led by First Lieutenant "Winter" Kanzaki; however, given past crimes against the United Earth Government including high treason and piracy, Fighter Command has declined to give him full command privileges. SVF-113 therefore remains under direct command of the Shogun detachment of UN Intelligence.

SQUADRON HISTORY
July 7, 2055: Striker Squadron formed of 2nd Lieutenants Chorizal and Fay Berkley, and sound-energy specialist 2nd Lieutenant Restra Luvaria. Their first mission was the capture of infamous space pirate and UN Spacy traitor Winter Kanzaki on the planet Sympatica. Numerous setbacks plagued the mission, in particular a target that was more resourceful than expected, but Striker Squadron and the UN Marines were ultimately successful.
July 8, 2055: Winter Kanzaki is given the rank of acting 1st lieutenant and assigned to Striker Squadron as executive officer. 2nd Lieutenant Ichihara Shinjo joins squadron.
July 10, 2055: 2nd Lieutenant Fay Berkley is removed from active duty, pending investigation. Squadron integration training begins under 1st Lieutenant Kanzaki.
July 12, 2055: While receiving two pilots, 2nd Lieutenants Domerin Lorcasf and Luminara Syphulkiir, Shogun is attacked by marauding Meltrandi. Striker Squadron successfully fends off Meltran power armor until Shogun is able to escape. Enyo, a Meltran warrior, and prison transport Penitent carrying convict Tydus Lan, are inadvertently pulled through fold space. Chorizal, Lorcasf, and Syphulkiir are removed from active duty due to injuries suffered during the battle.
July 15, 2055: Tydus Lan is given the rank of acting 2nd lieutenant and assigned to Striker Squadron. Pending miclonization, Enyo is also given rank of acting 2nd lieutenant and assigned to squadron. 2nd Lieutenant Lorcasf returns to active duty.
July 19, 2055: 2nd Lieutenant Chorizal returns to active duty.
July 21, 2055: Shogun encounters an SSF Sentinel-class destroyer patrolling Sigma-occupied space. Striker Squadron successfully fends off the Sentinel's fighter complement. Acting 2nd Lieutenant Lan is injured in combat and removed from active duty. 2nd Lieutenants Chorizal and Lorcasf are promoted to the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
July 23, 2055: 2nd Lieutenant Kai arrives at Shogun and is assigned to Striker Squadron. Squadron's VF-11 fighters are retrofitted with portable fold booster technology.
July 25, 2055: 2nd Lieutenant Scott Valentine transfers from UN Marines to Striker Squadron. 1st Lieutenant Lorcasf transfers from Striker Squadron to Wildfire Squadron.

His flying helmet is customised with a red and white check pattern, and a pink heart with a crack down the middle on both sides in reference to his callsign.
Off duty he wears a replica 20th century flying jacket, faded jeans, and black converse all-star trainers. Usually he sports a T-shirt with the logo of a rock or metal band from the 20th century also on it, or a Jack Daniels’ logo T-shirt.
