This play-by-post role-play focuses on the oft-forgotten commoner class, and explores their lives, choices and struggles during a time of war and chaos: what becomes of them remains to be seen.
At present, the townsfolk of Thrydale are emerging from a cruel Winter into an apprehensive Spring. What joy will the Spring Festival bring? What answers will the town meeting hold?

The game opens on March 18th for the people of Thrydale. You are allowed to play in multiple threads provided there is no overlap in terms of time/place.
Spring Festival: March 19th-20th
The traditional two-day greeting of the Spring season will occur throughout the town, including celebrations both public and private.
Town Meeting: March 21st
Following the festival, a town meeting is intended to take place to discuss the Chehden threat, and see what the townsfolk have in mind.

UPPER THRYDALE
Cut and dug into the slope and crest of the hill is Upper Thrydale, an expansion featuring a pallisade wall and many recently-constructed wooden domiciles. A majority of the Saiden populace has settled here. There is a moderately well-sized field space in Upper Thrydale that is usually reserved for fairs and overflow from the Market Square. Presently, it is a refugee camp, teeming with many tents and makeshift shelters.

AQUILARA'S CHURCH
Edged by a tidy fence, the grounds feature well-tended gardens, out-buildings for storage and living quarters for the priests. The main attraction is the large stone church, its bell-tower topped with the Aquilaran symbol. Inside is a vestabul, altar chamber, and undercroft with barren monastic cells. Also on the grounds is a little wooden building used as a schoolhouse.

TIPSY HARPIST TAVERN
Saiden owned and run, the Harpist is a popular tavern renown in Thrydale for its excellent entertainers. The Harpist is built primarily out of wood, the interior is brightly decorated with bold reds, deep golds and vibrant indigos. The taproom features many small round tables and a large stage.

DEFENDER'S BARRACKS
The Thrydale Defender's Barracks accesses a water tower. It is a single floor structure featuring a wooden main hall opening into two stone-built wings. To the right is the sleeping quarters for the Defenders, as well as the armoury; to the left is storage and jail cells for unruly townsfolk. Next to the Barracks is a stable, housing four mounts reserved for Defender purposes.

LOWER THRYDALE
At the base of the hill sits Lower Thrydale, the oldest part of the town. Both the wall and buildings are constructed of stone, and the streets are sheltered by overhung second floors. The homes of many Alteriens and Chehdens are be found along the numerous narrow, cobbled roads, along with a few little parks and many tiny private gardens. The Market Square is found in Lower Thrydale.

HEALING HOUSE
The Healing House is built flush to the southern wall of Lower Thrydale, a spacious and low whitewashed building. It has a well outside in the courtyard, alongside a garden of medicinal herbs. Inside, there are many rooms, the most prominent of which is the recovery ward, surgery chamber, apothecary and healer's library, and waiting room.

RIVERWITCH INN
The Riverwitch Inn is near the Lower Gate of Thrydale. The inn has a small assembly of buildings, such as stables, animal pens and storage sheds. The inn building itself is composed of whitewashed stone with a wrap-around porch on the front and sides. Both the first and second floors feature chambers for single, double or small group accomodations, with plain furnishings and decor. There is one private dining room downstairs.

SERF'S HUT TAVERN
The Serf's Hut is owned and run by Alteriens. The building is long and narrow, set close to the street, and has a fieldstone base with an overhanging second floor composed of timber. The lower floor has a common room including a bar, the kitchens, privies and storage rooms. The Hut's taproom is styled to look like a hunter's lodge.

THRYDALE MARKET SQUARE
Thrydale Market Square is the "town centre" for the community. The square is lined with shops and often filled with merchant's stalls. Many side-streets lead off to other shops and domiciles. The Square is often used for as a festival and meeting space for large congregations.
