The Derricks family enjoys considering themselves among the higher classes, but their recent wealth and favor beneath the Dark Lord's eyes does not mean their previous transgressions have now been erased from history. Their blood is sullied at best, too many members of their family consort with mudblood and muggle filth. The family tree requires extensive pruning. I will speak with them as may be required, but any member of that family must keep in mind their heritage, and not overstep any boundaries of propriety."

But knowledge of his position in life is all I need to know to be decided. All wizards who have pledged their allegiance to the Dark Lord are evil and dangerous. Not even Azkaban could heal the damage people like him have caused to the Wizarding world. They are tearing us all apart, slowly but surely, and they must be stopped before the entire fabric of society splits and repair is impossible. Getting to know people like him would mean to possibly forgive them. And that I could never do."

The laws are necessary - werewolves are a danger to society. They are not human, and thus, should not enjoy the rights of your average pureblooded citizen. He is sadly misled, and a traitor to all who know him. It is bad enough to be a part of the Order, but even worse to switch sides in the middle of it all. Faltering loyalty is not something either side requires, and he is a disgrace to the house of Gryffindor."

I assume she would blame it all on me, but personally I think she overreacted - the situation was completely blown out of proportion after she was through with it. Being with her showed me what it would be like to live a fairly normal life. I am slightly ashamed of the hurt I caused her, but I cannot blame myself for her dramatics. In this sort of world, purebloods and half-bloods are ill suited to each other. As are Order members and Deatheaters."

"My favorite uncle. There aren't many people in my family I look up to (considering they're all stuffy bastards who wouldn't know fun if it hit them with a cauldron) but Alphard is one of them. He is just so cool. I mean - he's a cursebreaker. He fights mummies for a living! So rad. I am going to grow up to be exactly like him. A tough Deatheater bachelor playin' the field and traveling across the globe. I must admit it sort of sucks he used to be a Gryffindor (how such an awesome person got into such a loser house, I'd never know) but I guess not everyone can be as lucky with their friends as I am. It is always a blast staying at his house, and I think it is so fly to be related to him."

"Phineas is an ‘alright' kid. I can see a bit too much of my brother in him as far as his views are concerned (he's the most prejudiced little bigot I've ever seen, and if it weren't for his laziness and general stupidity, he'd make a perfect Deatheater.) It isn't really his fault though, it was just the way he was raised. The way he follows Malfoy jr. around is bound to get him in trouble. I guess he's doing the Derricks family proud, in his own way, but I'm just concerned he's going to end up on the wrong side of an Avada Kevedra. He's a little too keen to sign himself up for the slaughter. He doesn't know what it really means to be a Deatheater. I hope he keeps himself safe. He's still family, no matter how annoying he can occasionally be."

Barty Crouch

He was always a little odd, but my exposure to other people was limited, and I learned to cope with his eccentricities through practice. He took the mark as soon as he graduated, his devotion was fervent, and everyone agreed that he was quite mad. His father's quest to become next Minister of Magic kept our families distant, but Barty did not let that stop him from serving the Dark Lord to the best of his ability. After he got sent to Azkaban, I didn't see him again, until he was recaptured after his escape and received the kiss. I don't think I've bourne witness to anything so horrible in my life. A constant reminder of what could happen should any of us be caught by the Ministry. We are ruthless, but so are they."
