Welcome to London Bridges. After a not-so peaceful summer, seventh year for the trio has finally arrived, and they return to Hogwarts in September with their last year before adulthood stretching before them. But things are not as they seem at Hogwarts, massive changes are bound to occur as the Dark Lord begins to further rally his supporters. And the peaceful year before them is not destined for a repeat. The challenges they face are more fearsome then ever, and threaten to rip the fabric of the world that they know at the seams.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The London Bridges administrators have decided to partially incorporate JK Rowling's seventh and final book to the series. Although it will be impossible to stay canon to the entire plot, for rather obvious reasons, there will be certain events which will still occur within our own plot.

Each month, this forum will be updated with a time line. Although this time line will not reference specific dates, each event will be placed in chronological order. (ie. One event cannot happen before the others have occurred, etc.) Every member will be expected to view this time line once it has been posted, as it will state which events are likely to occur in their character's future. This is most important if you play a canon. You may choose to roleplay these events with the other members, or merely state that they have occurred.

However, you may not ignore that they happened at all.

For example, if this time line stated that Ginny Weasley died her hair black in the month of December, it would be mandatory for the person who plays Ginny to check this forum, and incorporate that fact into her character. Don't worry, this won't actually happen. Most of the things listed are very non-specific, allowing you plenty of room to exercise your creativity.

The board plot has not been abandoned. We are still using it. These events are all happening within its scheme, and some of the things listed will actually be to help that plot get moving and do not occur in Deathly Hallows. (So don't go pming us complaining that these events don't happen in the books, because yes, some of them didn't.)

July & August

"I have been careless, and so have been thwarted by luck and chance, those wreckers of all but the best laid plans. But I know better now. I understand those things that I did not understand before. I must be the one to kill Harry Potter, and shall be." - Voldemort

- Dumbledore is dead. His death is sudden, and reaches the general public through the pages of the Daily Prophet. Voldemort rejoices at this conquest. Foul play is recognized, and many suppose the culprit to be Severus Snape. Nothing can be proved, but the Hogwart's Potion's master has risen through the ranks of the Deatheaters. No new Headmaster is named, but Minerva McGonagall, as deputy Headmistress, is assumed to be a perfect fit. The Order is betrayed, guilt is felt by those who trusted him, indignation by those who did not.

- Lord Voldemort sets up headquarters at Malfoy Manor. Accompanying him are many of his loyal followers, including Bellatrix Lestrange.

- The Muggle Studies teacher is kidnapped, tortured and killed by the Dark Lord. Her murder is covered up by the Daily Prophet, which begins to show its deatheater allegiances.

- Remus John Lupin is wed to Nymphadora Tonks in a small ceremony held at the end of the July. Announcement of their engagement is sudden, the ceremony seems rushed, but many of the Order members are present.

- Draco Malfoy takes the Dark Mark at the behest of his aunt and father.

- News reaches the Order that Deatheaters have infiltrated the Ministry. No one knows how deeply, or how close they are to overthrowing the Ministry entirely.

September

"People are dying, I was nearly one of them. Voldemort chased be across three counties, he killed Mad-Eye Moody, but there's been no word about any of that from the Ministry, has there? And you still expect us to cooperate with you!" - Harry Potter

- Hedwig, Harry's beloved owl, does not return home after being sent to deliver a message to the Order. She is presumed dead.

- School has begun. To the shock of many, Severus Snape is appointed the next Headmaster, not McGonagall. The Ministry is directly behind his sudden election, and the Daily Prophet idolizes the new regime. Snape greets Hogwarts at the Sorting Ceremony - not as Potions master, but as the new head of Hogwarts.

- Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff resent this change, and many individuals form organizations with the intent to rebel. Dumbledore's Army is reinstated.

- Remus Lupin is instated as the new Potion's Professor.

- The Order is attacked mid-September. George Weasley is upon the receiving end of an accidental curse sent by none other then Severus Snape. He loses his left ear.

- ‘Mad-Eye' Moody is hit by a killing curse during one of his missions. His body is unrecovered by the Order, discovering later it has been taken by the Ministry instead.

"The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming." - Kingsley Shaklebot

- William ‘Bill' Weasley is wed to Fleur Delacour in a large ceremony held at the burrow. Many relatives of both the Delacours' and the Weasley's attend, as well as many Order members

- The wedding ceremony is interrupted by the lynx patronus of Kingsley Shaklebot, who announces that the Minister of Magic has been killed, and that the Deatheaters have gained control of the Ministry. Deatheaters attack the ceremony soon after. No one is injured, but the guests scatter

- A taboo is placed upon the word ‘Voldemort.' Now, anyone who says it can be tracked by the Ministry

- The fall of the Ministry is a harsh blow to Hogwarts, but classes are scheduled as normal. The Professors attempt to keep up a brave face. Hogwarts protections remain, and the school is still considered safe. However, the mysterious ‘key' has yet to be found. The Slytherin Superiority club continues to keep up their efforts, but meet with resistance from Dumbledore's Army
