BLACK BOOK OF ARDA
A decade after the One Ring has been destroyed, when all of Arda is once again and finally safe from all taint from Sauron's stronghold over it, from the days of Old when The Enemy had made his mark, had brought Darkness into the fair lands, everything is as it should have always been. The time of Peace has come, the Second Song sung, this time without the discordant melody from Morgoth himself weaving through it.
The Heroes have settled in to live out the last of their lives, to carry on as they had before their Fellowship and their journey, some have taken Crowns, others have simply taken wives, others have gone on to have further adventures, having never come down off of the high that came with saving the entirety of Arda from her worst enemies.
But, a storm is brewing.
In the lands untouched since the War, a whisper is heard, rumor starting to spread again already, though no one is able to confirm validity.
Hammers heard from deep underground. Bellows from mountaintops. Disembodied screams of anguish.
Are they all simply leftover from before? A lingering memory of a time that all would rather forget about by now?
In Minas Morgul, a rage is building, a wrath coming to sweep the lands in a fell swoop that none will see coming.
Unbeknownst to those in Middle Earth, Morgoth, Melkore as he has taken to calling himself once again has emerged from The Void, his punishment ended, though even he is not sure how. His time inside the Darkness, the place named for being devoid of all of anything, left to his own devices, to his own screams and bellows inside his own mind--all of this has changed him, warped him. Those that would recall him would know too well how dangerous he had been before, but would have no idea of what was coming to them soon enough.
Returning from The Void, he found his Kingdom, his greatest accomplishment, in utter ruin. His forces defeated, banished to the outerlands if they hadn't been killed, his Lieutenant left bodiless, only able to take the most fleeting of shapes in his spirit form. As if that was not horrid enough, his most hated enemies are ruling once again, seemingly unopposed.
Where we start this story, The Enemy is once again building his forces, seeking to restore his lover's body to him so that they can properly wreak vengeance. He hasn't unveiled himself yet, nor is he allowing anyone to see him. It is up to you to stop him, if he can be, once his begins his War.
The real question is, however.
Who really is The Enemy?BLACK BOOK OF ARDA
