Title: The Hobbit Fanclub
Description: Because you can't live without it.
Miriel - March 23, 2004 06:05 AM (GMT)
And here it is! The latest haven for the insanely-numerous pervy hobbit fanciers. And we shall not live in fear of being cut off... ;)
Mmkay, so I know that Rites of Passage is finally regularly updating again - Part II: Bag End! I haven't read any of the latest chapters, for several reasons. One is that I've been a bit out of the FPS loop for a bit. The second is that I prefer read a bunch of chapters at once, that way I don't have to re-get into the mindset for it. So once there are five or so chapters, I'll probably catch up...
Helen - March 23, 2004 05:17 PM (GMT)
New Hobbit fanclub home. Hurrah!
Miriel, the new RoP bit made me cry so much at the stupidest bit! I won't say where, I don't want to spoil it for the rest of you, but my eyes welled up and felt guilty and silly.
*happy sigh* I do so love RoP, I found that in the latest chapter Willow Wode got the characterisation of Sam just right.
Miriel - March 23, 2004 07:03 PM (GMT)
That is a GREAT icon, Helen! Drunk hobbits, hee. The expression! :D
...Just wanted to say that. <3
Dinen Glamor - March 23, 2004 07:05 PM (GMT)

Heh, thanks Miriel. I didn't make it, I got it from somewhere else, it's by someone called coffee_day on LJ as I remember (must...give...credit)
But it's great isn't it? Very me! *huggles all of her drunk Hobbits*
Miriel - March 23, 2004 09:01 PM (GMT)
And you can see the gap between his front teeth so well in that pic!
Daisy - March 23, 2004 11:03 PM (GMT)
...GAH! *glomps everyone*
A new fanclub! In a beautiful new forum! Oh, I'm so happy. *hugs all around*
I have yet to read RoP. I know, I know. I'll get to it... I've heard so many good things about it!
giventofly37 - March 24, 2004 12:47 AM (GMT)

Me neither. It's on my INCREDIBLY LONG list of fics I must read.
*licks Helen's icon* That picture makes me want to do dirty things. Lots of them. To Frolijah

Hee...I keep having to stop myself from typing the <lj user> tags.
Laurë - March 24, 2004 08:24 AM (GMT)
Yay, new fanclub!

Do we do FotM? I think I remeber a few, but I'm not sure... ^^;

Y'know, I haven't read the THoU update either. I'm really very behind on all the FPS stuff...
Dinen Glamor - March 26, 2004 05:38 PM (GMT)
Loving RoP. Am a bit bored with THoU *shame*. There just seemed to be less and less plot each time I read a chapter.
I have a question. Two actually.
1) Why is there an anti-hobbit sex club? So sad. Hobbit sex sooo good.
2) Why does the elf fan club have more posts than us?
Ok so its not a competition...but it is. Really.
Oh almost end of Frodo month _I love Frodooooooo!_ sad times indeed. But M/P month next. Sexious!
And can we have the link to the purely hobbit sexual board here? Thankees :)

There's an anti-Hobbit sex club because it's not to everyone's taste. Just like i'm not paticularly keen on elf sex, some people just don't understand the Hobbitness *shrug* To each their own, Dinen...
And the Elf club probably has more posts than us because there are more members. It doesn't really matter how much we post though, because we still have fun being Hobbity, right?
And voila! A link to PH:
Purely Hobbitsexual

They do? They do! Ahh! Must post more... Mua ha ha. Not a compitition? ...Of course not...I knew that...
Anywoo... I was writing a fic, but got distracted. ...A lot, considering I started it like...a month or two ago. Heh. I have to finish that... I was a pretty good start.
Andromedatook - March 27, 2004 10:57 PM (GMT)
Evening ladies :)
Thought I'd come join over here.
Romy
Dinen Glamor - March 27, 2004 11:09 PM (GMT)
Helloooooooooo! Welcome to our den of hobbit porn!
And for the record, I love this - :bunny:
Miriel - March 28, 2004 12:11 AM (GMT)
*giggle* I know, the :bunny: is so funneh.
My new OTP is Diamond/Estella along with Merry/Pippin! Nikki and I were discussing it the other day - Merry only married Estella and Pippin only married Diamond because it was a convenient arrangement, you know? They all didn't want to live with their parents anywhere, and needed a good location for meeting together...and since the girls probably wanted children eventually, they knew they'd have to marry. So who better to marry than Merry and Pippin, who were together themselves? There'd be no jealousy, no possessiveness, but acceptance and understanding from the husbands and wives. It's perfect, isn't it? Diamond/Estella and and Merry/Pippin. OTPness! :smooch:
Helen - March 28, 2004 04:43 PM (GMT)
Hey ho Romy! :D *hugses*

| Merry only married Estella and Pippin only married Diamond because it was a convenient arrangement, you know? |
Heh, I've heard that one before, and I must say it's a good theory. I may work it into my new fic - Merry and Pippin are causing problems for me at the moment - they just won't get written. :wall:
And for what it's worth, I think the :bunny: rocks. All hail the bunny!
Daisy - March 28, 2004 08:40 PM (GMT)
Hee hee. I love the :bunny: too.
Hi, Romy! Welcome, welcome to our new hideout. :smooch:
Miriel, I love that theory. It makes perfect sense, now doesn't it? Keeps everyone happy. Yep yep. We need some more hobbit femslash. There's just not enough of it out there... There's Distracted by Bodices, but...That's the only archive I know of that only hobbit femslash... Hmmm... *must write some*
giventofly37 - March 29, 2004 05:01 AM (GMT)
*glomps Romy* Hiya :smooch: Welcome to our newest pervy spot :P
Miriel, that works for me :) I must find me some hobbitlass slash. Just to say I've read it, you know.
And here I go again, I have a hobbit question! Was there actually honey in the Shire? Or is that just something we wish ;)
Miriel - March 29, 2004 05:03 AM (GMT)
Honey? *ponders* Bees make honey...they live in hives and stuff... >_> Yeah, I'd imagine it's in fact quite likely that they use honey to makes things sweet, as opposed to sugar. :P

I'm no longer a hobbitlass slash virgin! I read some at Nikki's LJ, and was very proud when I'd finished!
And I reckon it's almost certain thatThe Shire had honey. Plus, we can now imagine beekeeper!Hobbits
Whoa...beekeeper!Frodo. :help:
Laurë - March 29, 2004 03:31 PM (GMT)
Yes, I think there is honey... There are bees in the Shire, and why shouldn't the Hobbits have figured out yet how to use it? (Oh, please don't misinterpretate it... :help: )
Daisy - March 29, 2004 06:19 PM (GMT)
I think hobbits had honey... Oh yes... I mean, they have bees. And it doesn't take any kind of special technology-stuff to get the honey, so I'm sure they could. Makes all of my dreams come true...
:doggystyle: <- *loves that emoticon*
giventofly37 - March 30, 2004 04:06 AM (GMT)
Thanks girls! I'm deathly afraid of writing out of canon, as you may know :wall:
Beekeeper!Frodo? Oh my, Helen, I think I feel a fic coming on ;)

Oh dear Fly! Well, if any yellow and black plot bunnies sting you and you feel the need, I don't think anyone here would stop you...
Bee-keeping!Frodo really is intriguing. I need help.
Miriel - March 30, 2004 02:48 PM (GMT)
*giggle* Plotbees!
Um, yes. Looklook,
this is the LotR site of Hyel. She has the most awesome hobbitart. *squee*
Laurë - March 30, 2004 03:06 PM (GMT)
So... What am I supposed to do when there are plotbees in my garden?
The pics are great! :sweet: (I like this smilie, but not as much as the :bunny: )

Obey the bees! Obey them for they will seek vengeance if you do not dress Frodo in a bee keeping outfit! Wish there was a bee smiley. The closest I can get is ninja...
Pretty Hobbit art Miriel. Hobbit boys kissing. Squee!
Dinen Glamor - March 30, 2004 07:43 PM (GMT)
Plotbees! I love it! Listen to the bees for they are the true voice of hobbit desire *nods sagely*
Miriel - March 30, 2004 11:32 PM (GMT)
The birds and the bees! Heehee, plotbees works on so many levels...
giventofly37 - March 31, 2004 01:41 AM (GMT)
You know, now that I think about it, plotbees actually make more sense than plot bunnies (:bunny:) Mostly because you get stung by bees. Eh? Eh?
Squee! I love Hyel's art! Ish sho CUTE!!! :sweet:
Oh and expect teh bee!fic soon ;)

I think this deserves a :bunny: as well.
My stupid fic is being stupid. I'm finding it really difficult to write Merry and Pippin, which is ridiculous considering the amount of M/P fics I've read.
Meriadoc_Took - March 31, 2004 01:50 PM (GMT)
Hey, can I join? And about the earlier post about the Diamond/Estella and Merry/Pippin. That makes total sense. I was reding earlier posts, and I never thought of it that way.
Dinen Glamor - March 31, 2004 06:34 PM (GMT)
Of course you can join! All you need is a passion for all things hobbity. And not mind when someone says something a little odd. Such as:
On the whole bee plotline, could honey be used as lube?
*innocence exudes me*
I mean, it probably would be all sticky etc but surely the technical possibility is there? :doggystyle:
Daisy - April 1, 2004 03:19 AM (GMT)
Welcome, Meriadoc_Took! :smooch: Yay! More hobbit fans!

... :whip: That's an awesome though, but... I don't know... *would* it work? I mean, it is rather thick and sticky... Would it be comfortable or would it just be a mess? Hmm... I'll have to sleep on it.
Heh heh...sleep on it...
