Title: Random Elf Lounge
Description: Gossip paradise
LadyofLegolas - May 25, 2004 03:47 AM (GMT)
This silly idea was nogging me for a while so I thought that I'll give it a try.
It seems to me, that we all nancing about our famous elves 24/7, but nobody bother to stop and take notice about those elves, whom are doing everyday tasks, so things can run smoothly in the realms.
Such elves like: random elf in the bakery who makes lembas, random elf in the laundry room who cleaning those beautifull garments, random elf in the gardens who takes care of plants...and so on and so forth.
To honor their work and dedication, I officialy open this lounge, where they can come and rest and gossip about the comings and goings of our yummy elven lords.
Let me show you how it works: pick a task for yourself and make up some yummy gossip, then share it with the rest of us!
Example: I choose to be random elfmaid of the bath-house of Caras Galadhon. So from now on I will be telling stories like this every time when I enter the Lounge...
" Good evening everyone. Sorry, that I couldn't come by earlier, but Lord Haldir is back with his patrol from the borders and I had to bring extra towels and bath supplies for him and for his brothers. Let me tell you something: last month he fancied pine scented shampoo, but since Prince Legolas left he wouldn't touch it for a world! He asked me to remove every pine scented candles, oils, bath-salts and shampoo! I guess, that our proud Marchwarden finally met his match! Rumil and Orophin teased him all night about Prince Legolas' "aim" and his certain
"archery skills" 'til Lord Haldir chased them out from the bath-tub and took away all the towels so they had to run out butt naked, just as Lady Galadriel passed by on her usual evening stroll to the garden! Now that was a sight for an age!
  Anyways, I cannot stay any longer, but I hope to see you next time and you can tell me what's going on in your realm! May the Valar Bless You!"

Evening, Ladies. I'm just stopping by from the kitchens- the twins are home for a bit and the cook-staff and I were all so glad to see them back safe and sound that we made up a batch of those honey-cakes they loved so much when they were little- lord knows enough of them went missing over the years while those two were growing up- and I've got to run to take them a batch. Poor boys- what with no mother and all, it's just a shame, that's what it is...
What? The gossip? Oh, right. Well, you just have to hear this- I was running up to the balcony to bring Lindir that salt-water he'd been asking about and just guess what I happen to see? Lord Glorfindel had that skinny boyfriend of his- you know the one, Lord Elrond's advisor.... Right, Erestor. I ought to know him, reclusive though that one has a tendancy to be.... Anyway, Lord Glorfindel has him pressed right up against the wall, in that little alcove just behind the stairs, with his robes up around his waist and his britches around his ankles, and let me tell you, I was a mite startled at that! Though I suppose I shouldn't be- Lord Glorfindel does seem to be a bit prone to his freaks and tricks, doesn't he? And when poor master Erestor happened to look up and saw me there, just as stunned as stunned, the man turned seven shades of red and immeadiately started hassling the Lord Glorfindel. And the Noldo ignored him of course- who can tell Glorfindel anything?- and I went my way. Not my place to be watching that sort of thing, though I admit I was a bit curious. ;)
But I'll tell you this, too: Glorfindel was eating dinner alone in the kitchens this evening, and I heard him mutter something about his door being locked, and *I* think that means that Lord Erestor had his bit of revenge as well!

Well, hellooo everyone. It is hot out there today! But no matter, not like I broke a sweat or anything. Anyway, I was up in the High Gardens earlier today, near the top of the city, and let me tell you, those weeds are the most stubborn! I've had to go up there twice this week to keep them under control! Oh, back to my story. So, I was crouched down behind a line of ferns, wrestling with those damned weeds, and I hear voices above me. I stayed very still, can't get caught you know, then where would the juicyness come from? So one said 'If he doesn't stop fawning over her, I'm going to put an arrow through his arse'. The other didn't say anything for a while, then he went 'He's not good enough for you anyway, Legolas...' It was Legolas! I don't know who the other was, but now that gossip about Haldir...They talked a bit more. Legolas seemed upset, and after a while I didn't hear any more talking, but the ferns were rustling quite a bit. I took that as my sign to leave the weeds alone for today.
Then I heard that Legolas had left form the bow maker! He seemed in a bit of a tizzy, and HE said that he had seen Haldir and Legolas in a very fervent conversation right before Legolas set off. Hmmmm
Well, that's all the news for now... :bunny:
LadyofLegolas - May 25, 2004 06:33 PM (GMT)
Random elfmaid of the bath-house of Caras Galadhon enters the Lounge:
'Good morning mellyn. I have a few minutes, 'til I have to go to work, so I tought that I slip in for a cup of tea. Today's going to be a special day! King Thranduil and Prince Legolas will soon arrive to celebrate Lord Celeborn's begetting - day!
Everyone is busy with the preparations for tomorrow night. Guess who I say on my way here?: Lord Haldir! He just came out of the House of Healing and for a moment I thought that he maybe injured or something..'til I saw his face. He was smiling! By the Valar, I thought that I must have bumped my head and that I must be hallucinating! I tell ya..I've been around 2000 years now , but I never even once saw our Marchwarden smile like that!...He had a small bottle in his plam and he was humming!...well, I'm not a smartest elfmaiden in the Woods, but I guess that bottle did not contained a shampoo...if you got my meaning!...I have a feeling that tonight I have to bring out all the pine-scented goodies! Talking about those goodies....three nights ago I was just starting my work for a night and as soon as I entered the bath-house a smell of pine lingered from one of the rooms. My heart skipped a beat! Lord Haldir specifically asked me to put those things away from his favored bathroom, but someone found them. I knew that our Marchwarden due to arrive within moments for his evening bath, and he will be very annoyed to find someone else in his favorite bathroom! Not mentioning that this someone using the same items that he tries to avoid every time when Prince Legolas is away from Lorien. What should I do now? I thought, that maybe I could convince the elf in the the tub (whoever he is) to take a massage and I will be able to clean the room and somewhat air out the scent so Lord Haldir wouldn't be so offended!...So there I go...softly knocking on the door...and there comes the voice from inside: Enter!...that moment I thought that I will pass out right there...that was Lord Celeborn's voice! So I opened the door and there he was! Soaking in the tub and the room is filled with softly burning pine-scented candles!
Now what should I do?...I just can't tell the Lord of the Golden Wood why I disturbing him...so I bowed:"Good evening my Lord, are you enjoying the bath? Can I help you with anything to make you fell more relaxed?" I asked with a bit of stutter. He shook his head "I'm quiet relaxed, thank you. I need nothing for the moment." I bowed again and left the room. I was panicking now for big time! I do not want to see Lord Haldir get upset and I cannot kick the Lord of the Realm from the tub either! As I walked toward the massage room I happened to glance outside the window and I saw Rumil and Oropher walking by. I got a sudden idea how to solve my problem! I called out to the brothers, I had to speak with them. I always knew that Rumil is a very wise elf....when I told them that our Lord is enjoying a nice, pine-scented mist in the bath-house...he got the message fast. " I assume that my brother did not take his evening bath yet?" he asked knowing the answer already. I said no. " Then perhaps I could catch up with him and ask him for a swim in the lake. This is such a nice evening for a it, isn't it Oro?" The younger elf looked at him with puzzled look for a second ( he's not that fast like his brother) then understanding hit him and nodded his head."Great idea, gwador, let's go and find him!...all three of was were smiling and they took their leave in the direction of Haldir's talan. I tell ya...if Rumil would have a taste for females, I would try to catch him for myself! Anyway...I gotta run, there is so much to do...
I hope, that I see you again soon! May the Valar Bless You!'

This is such a cool idea! I choose to be a random Elf maid in the royal kitchens of Mirkwood :D
"Ladies! You would not BELIEVE what has been going on around here lately! Prince Legolas tends to be rather...finicky when it comes to eating, and he often has food brought to his chambers. Well, I was sent up there just yesterday morning carrying a tray of berries, sweet cream, biscuits, tea -- a feast fit for royalty, to be sure.
"I arrived at the Prince's door and knocked. Very difficult, of course, because I was trying to balance the tray on my hip and I'm not the most graceful of Elf maidens...anyway, who should answer the door but Aragorn? Wearing only a BLANKET! I'm sure I stared for quite a while. I stammered something about breakfast, thrust the tray into his hands and ran from there as quickly as possible, cheeks aflame. Oh, I wish I'd thought of something witty to say, but I was just too surprised."

Note to all: I've decided to name my Random Imlandris Kitchenwench elena, for the conveniance of the thing.
Oh, poor dear, that must've been MOST distressing. Not that our dear baby Estel hasn't grown into a fine young man, to be sure, and I'm just as certain as certain that he cuts a fine figure in a towel or out of it, but still... goodness me. :petting: Do give him my regards if you see him though- does he still fancy spiced cider? And when is he coming home visiting again- our Lord is getting cranky again, seeing as his children are all off and about. Tell him to bring along this Legolas- I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wants to see who our little dear has chosen!
(anyone else have those odd, older reletives who, no matter what age you are or things you've accomplished, still think and talk about you like you were three years old? Why do I get the feeling that the majority of Imlandris would be this way about Aragorn?)
And, random bath-house elfmaid, you have my condolences for your mishap as well. I hear that your Haldir has quite the temper, thank goodness for those brothers of his. I wouldn't want to face him in a tantrum, that's for sure. Can't say how thankful I am to be here where things are quiet and peaceful. Well... mostly so. When Glorfindel is behaving. And the twins aren't home (Did I mention that they managed to get Lindir's harp glued to the upper edge of the tapestry of Gondolin in the main hall? Dear valar, that was a ruckus...). And Our Lord isn't cranky about something or some other- which he is most of the time because the elf forgets he needs to eat and sleep just like all Eru's creation.
Ok, maybe scratch that peaceful and quiet bit. In any case, I do hope that you managed to get the scent cleared out before Haldir returned, and that things run more smoothly until you return. Oh- and when Legolas goes to visit the Fair City do you know if he's bringing our little Estel along with him? Take care of our boy down there, please, and send them both (all?) up to see us sometime soon. <smooch> Got to run- seems like Ithilwen has set the hearth-herbs on fire again from the sound of it. Can't wait to see you all again soon!
LadyofLegolas - May 27, 2004 06:42 PM (GMT)
Random Elfmaid (named Ariel from now on) of the bathhouse of Caras Galadhon enters the Lounge:
' Mae govannen, ladies. Well life is not easy I tell ya.... as I said before there is a great host came to celebrate from Mirkwood (yes, Elena...Aragorn is here too)
And everyone is so busy! I have only a few minutes to stay, but let me tell you what I saw just an hour ago...I was in the storage room, refilling the shampoo bottles ( I swear that these elves drinking this stuff...or bathe in it..I just refilled it a week ago!) when I heard 'funny' noises from the massage room... I know that I'm not supposed to go snooping around, but I was just too curious to see, who's "playing around"...so I made my way down the hall as stealthy as I could and got up to the door. I could hear, that two elves were moving about the place, but I just couldn't make out, who they were at first...Then suddenly I heard this: "can you move a little faster?"...By the Valar I thought that even my pointy ears got beet red as I imagined what was going on inside (btw the voice belonged to King Thranduil!)... After some more 'funny' noises the other elf in the room answered (with clearly much difficulty) "If you want me too move faster, you must stay more relaxed!"..(That was the voice of Lord Elrond!)....I didn't even know that the Lord of Imladris was here! (Elena, next time you should warn me that He plans to visit, but maybe it was a surprise thing!)...My mind worked with the speed of light in my head (Thranduil and Elrond??? how this happened?.. just 4 centuries ago they almost murdered each other because of some silly argument!)...
I decided to try too take a look...I slowly pushed the door open...there laid King Thranduil on the massage table on his belly, and the Lord of Imladris stood above him, and his fingers were combing the Silvan Kings hair with much slowness and difficulty. " I swear, Elrond, if I have to cut my hair because of you son's mischief I'll shave both of them bold!"said Thranduil. " Calm down, I 'll try to clean yuor hair, but if I got my hands on the Twins before you, they will have worst fate than a simple shave of hair!" answered Elrond. At that moment I heard that someone approaches...I closed the door without a sound and went back to my task. Now I don't know what the two Peredhil did, but I'm sure that I will hear about it from you Elena!...Those two are always up to no good! Anyways, I must go now, but I hope to see you again soon! May the Valar Bless You!'

<sound of Elena's eyes getting very big>Oh no.... I'm never going to see the twins again. Their father will MAIM them! I forgot to mention that they were coming out- When I brought my lord his supper (he was in another of his sulks, and refused to leave his room- said he had too much work to do), I mentioned to him that our little Estel was up in 'Lorien, with his new boyfriend, and I'd heard they've both grown to be much too cute for words. Well, THAT got a bee in his braids, for certain sure. So, yes- I understand that my dear lord has gone up with his sons to visit his in-laws on a spur-of-the-moment visit. I was also under the impression for some reason that he wanted to fetch the lady Undomniel home for some reason- honestly, that elf worries more than any ten others I've ever met- didn't he hear what I said about "boyfriend"?
I almost wish you *had* caught them going about the eldest task, ariel. Bit of Bed-bouncing would do him good. Maybe we can work something out, for him and that Thranduil. Isn't he a widower too? <doeeyedgrim's random mirkwood kitchenmaid>, what do you think- wouldn't it be good for them?
doeeyedgrim - May 27, 2004 11:16 PM (GMT)
(my random Elf kitchen maid is now named Maereth, to make it easier)
I quite agree! Thranduil could use a good bed-bouncing...why just this morning I apparently brought him the wrong flavor of tea (I could've sworn he said 'mint') and he knocked it off my tray and nearly burned me!
I'm sure he was just frustrated at the time, he's usually a fair-tempered ruler...but perhaps he's got a bit of built-up sexual tension. Such a fine-looking King he is -- I don't understand why he hasn't had anyone since his Queen died. Oh! Do not tell him I said that...he would be most mortified.
In other news, Legolas has gone, probably to find dear little Estel, and the house is rather empty. Well, except for Thranduil, and we've all been avoiding him lately. I daresay his 'encounter' with Lord Elrond had an effect on him!
Iirima - May 29, 2004 08:18 PM (GMT)
<random Imaldris elfmaid or Anviel>
All I can say is that if Elrond does get up to a litte bed bouncing I can only hope he gets back here soon! It's been terrible, it's as if we are without a leader, dispite Elrond putting Glorfindel and Erestor in charge. I should of thought that they would be perfectly fine to stand in his place for a little while, an age-old warrior and the chief advisor? A perfect pair of rulers, but no, it seems they have found the latest deliveries of oysters from the grey-havens, and I'll be dammed if they're not all gone before the week is out.
Thier duties seem to of fallen onto poor Lindir. And a most terrible situation it is! I walked into the study the other day to do a spot a cleaning, and there they were! On top of the desk, kissing as if it were thier last! And Lindir, the poor dear, desparatly trying to retrive several papers from beneath them. But I must be off now, to finish the cleaning, I can only hope those two have vacted the study! Ta!
LadyofLegolas - May 29, 2004 10:54 PM (GMT)
Ariel of Lorien enters the Lounge:
'Mae govannen, mellyn! You wont believe what I saw last night! I just started my late night cleaning duties at the bathhouse, when I heard laughter and lots of splasing from Lord Haldir's fav bathroom. So I went over to take a peak...Valar help me, what my eyes were beholding wasn't the everyday sight is for sure!
Lord Haldir, Prince Legolas and Estel were fooling around in the tub like some silly elfling! :pant: All of them were drunk and made a huge mess! Lord Haldir was making 'funny braids' with the princes hair (using whipped cream as a hair styling substance) while Estel pured sweet strawberry- wine into Legolas' mouth! Of course he was so drunk, that the whole thing was flowing all over the Mirkwood prince except into his mouth! They were giggling like an elfmaiden and used some very profane language, that made me blush right down to my toes! Prince Legolas made a comment about the clumsiness of men, who cannot even give an elf a drink without spilling it all over. So Estel of course asked him to perform the same task, if he thinks, that he can do it better! The next moment the Mirkwood prince took the glass from Estel's hands, and pured some wine into his own mouth. Then grabbed the man's head, bend him down, and put those sweet lips of his to Estels, making him open up, and then he let the wine flow into Estel's mouth! :pant: :pant: The whole scene made me feel hot all over! I had to lay against the wall to steady myself! Lord Haldir just looked at them for a second, then he started complaining, that he is thirsty too and no one offers him a drink! Can't you guess what happened next? Prince Legolas took another sip from his cup and pulled our Marchwarden into the tub, then repeated the same process what he did with Estel! :faint:
This was the moment when I knew that I have to get out of there before I swoon dead over, and they'll discover my voyeuring state! But I tell you this...I would have died happy, if I could have been strawberry wine in the mouth of those three!
:wine: :wine:
Anyways, I have to run, but I hope that I see you again soon! May the Valar Bless You!'

*Nassie of Mirkwood, Royal Gardener walks in*
Well, I don't mean to gossip, so you haven't heard it from me, but I have been finding a few odd things in the gardens lately and it really makes me wish that all of them would stop romping late at night there...either that or let me join in! I found a bottle of *ahem* oil, next to a spot in the grass that was completely torn up! Damn them! How am I supposed to keep everything looking nice if they're going to shag like crazy all the time!
Just yesterday, Erestor was walking through the vegetable garden... yeah, don't give me that look, I know what you're thinking, I was too...anyway, he picks up a stray carrot and looks at it and smiles! I don' t think he had seen me yet, but when he looked up, he raised an eyebrow and turned suddenly and walked away...I believe in the direction of Elrond's chamber? Not sure though, you didn't hear it from me!
Ta for now!
LadyofLegolas - June 2, 2004 04:59 PM (GMT)
Ariel of Lorien enters the Lounge:
'Good day, mellyn! It's been a while since I stopped by. Tomorrow's gonna be the last day of the celebrations of Lord Celeborn's begetting-day! Lord Haldir is already in brooding mood! Estel and Prince Legolas is leaving for Imladris within 3 days and our Marchwarden finds it very hard to let them go. Btw, Lord Elrond sent the Twins home yesterday! I have no idea what did they do to make the Lord of Imladris so mad, but I would not wish to be in their skin, when their father gets back from Lorien! I heard some rumors that they get caught spying on King Thranduil and Lord Elrond, but you didn't hear it from me! Still, I would love to see what those two saw in Lord Elrond's chamber in the middle of the night! :P :pant: Elena, you must tell me all the details ASAP! I gotta run, see you next time! May the Valar Bless You!'

Celebrimbor son of Curufin enters the lounge.....
So nice to see all the activity in the whole of Nargothrond is not in vain, my father told me this kind of thing happens when someone gets wed but why am i lumbered with buying all the presents?
Father wants me to buy loads of stuff and i would not mind but they'lll just throw it away again!...just like last time.
Mind you those three shining jewels Granddad gave me last year seemed a little extravagant, but oh well...he did tell me to keep them safe..ummmm...
Merevindur - August 14, 2006 10:27 AM (GMT)
Celebrimbor son of Curufin walks in...
I've seen some things but an Elf and a Dwarf hugging with no pants on takes some beating! I could have done without seeing his hairy legs and his arse, but oh well - that's life I suppose.
Went into the market to buy fruit only to see said seller offer me two plumbs and a banana - well, I ask you, I wanted more than that! And promptly told him so, which made for an interesting blush!
I thought Glorfindel was being brave taking on that blacksmith who sold him those faulty shoes for Asfaloth. Must remember to invite him round next time and place a healing strip of pork over the shiner he recieved for his rantings!
I thought it was a shame to see all those replica silmarils go to waste at the local art gallery, told owner to keep them just in case as they could become valuable some day!
aylith - August 16, 2006 04:23 PM (GMT)
Random elf Tirsila - chamber maid of Lorien walks in: [Two years later!]
Well, by the grace of Valar! Those twins of Lord Elrond's never cease to amaze me. Whilst visiting recently they got up to their usual sport of sword play and combat, but I noticed Elrohir seemed to be putting on a brave face this time as Elladan sat atop him and repeatedly prodded him with the hilt of his scabbard again! Poor thing looked like he was pretending to enjoy it! Though it was difficult to see through all that foliage.
Anyway, the morning they were getting ready to leave, I was just about to enter Elladan's chamber when I heard whispers from inside. Not wanting to disturb, I waited patiently outside until they had finished. Well, it turns out they had seen King Thranduil in their fathers chamber! I heard Elrohir explain to Elladan that on the few occasions Lord Elrond has let him observe him heal, he has never before until that evening, seen him perform what looked like an internal examination. So Elladan is still none the wiser as to whether the King was actually sick! He said he asked him the next morning but the King simply smiled and looked more in the mood for merrymaking. I very nearly dropped the water jug and clean sheets I was holding when I heard. That would have been unfortunate - I wouldn't want them to think I was eavesdropping!
Oh my, is that the time? I'd better go. Hope to see you all soon!
