Ever hear a song and think "That is SO SLASHY"? I know I have!

This is one of my favorite songs, and maybe it's just me, but I find it incredibly slashy :rolleyes:

Every song I listen to becomes slashy, cos my mind is bent. :lol: :D

Okay, but, now, seriously. There's a whole slew of Red Hot Chili Peppers songs that are slashtastic, such as "Stretch" and "My Lovely Man". XD Anything by Tool makes me think slashy thoughts. "Spider Man" by The Cure is slashtastic... (trying to remember all the old yaoi songfics I used to write). REM's "Leave" is slashtastic, also, cos for years I thought the lyrics went: "Suffer dreams of a world gone mad, I like him like that and I know it." Of course, with one or more of the band members being gay, that kind of makes things not as fun. :P

And of course, anything from the Queer As Folk soundtrack automatically becomes slashtastic. :ph34r: I guess it's just the way I remember the songs that makes them that way. :blush:

Okay, this is a really obvious one, but Johnny McGovern's "Soccer Practice" is damn slashy. Then again, he calls himself the Gay Pimp, so that one is on purpose ;)
Also, there's a song called Black Velvet...I think it's by Melissa Etheridge. Anyway, even though it's sung by a woman I can imagine it being sung by a man instead and that makes it seem really slashy.
Prince Charming by Adam Ant is EXTREMELY slashy...but again, it's probably on purpose. And by the way, I'm downloading My Lovely Man now. :P
Edited to add: There's this one song that's rather slashy and has always made me think of The Vampire Chronicles...specifically Louis and Lestat. It's called "Possum Kingdom" and it's by a band called Toadies. Some of the lyrics go like this:

Now, I am not trying to interpret the lyrics of this song... but since I have been touched by the slash world, it didn't take long before I came up with the thought: "Hmmm. I wonder if..."

Most songs turn slashy for me.

Since I got this avatar a while ago, My Immortal by Evanescence makes me think slashy things...

A lot of Dave Matthews does too. It's a bit unfortunate, because my favorite band is The Dave Matthews Band, and now it gives me such ideas...

That song always makes me think about Erestor and Glorfindel ever since I read the fiction by Morgana which she uses, in the context of Erestor grieving for a past lover and Glorfindel comforting him. I think it was Glorfindels Darkest Hour

Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence (All I Ever Wanted)" is starting to seem a little slashy to me... :P

It plays in the movie "All Over The Guy" when Tom and Eli have sex for the first time, and Eli tells Tom that he loves him. The song fits the scene so perfectly. I guess it's like the definition of a slashy song, as it plays during a male-male love scene :smooch: :biglove: :heart:

This one weird, but... "King for a Day" by Green Day. It's meant as humor, parody, whatever you wanna call it, but it is blatantly slashy.

There's one from the Shrek soundtrack that always makes me think of slashy angst for some reason - "Hallelujah" performed by Rufus Wainwright. Even though you have to sort of replace the pronoun, it just seems like slashy angst...
