Title: Broke Back Mountain 2
AmourDuTigre - May 11, 2007 07:37 AM (GMT)
I have heard folks recently talking about a sequel to Broke Back Mountain...has anyone heard about this?
Though I could never really get into the cowboy thing, it would be just too cool if Orli and Viggio were the featured stars! :P
I would simply have to buy the DVD!

 Never heard of that before. I read the short story, and there is nothing more to it than was in the 'first' film. Really couldn't imagine it.

Have to buy the DVD?!
Jeez, I'd be camping outside the cinema on the first day of opening!

They shouldn't make a sequel to Brokeback... that story has ended.. ()
They just have to make a new gay loving film :D :makeout:

Here here!
To be completely honest with you guys, I didn't really like the 'first' Brokeback movie that much. I guess it was because everyone praised it so much that the movie just didn't just live up to all the hype. It was just good not great.
If they do make a "sequel" (don't know how that would work) I think it'll be really lame, unless Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are in the lead roles.
patchesbixby - May 14, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)
Well its Hollywood...Who the heck is Holly? Does anyone have pics?
Well anyway since when have they ever really gone by the books? Its possible there will be a two but just not following the first in storyline.
Manveruwen - May 15, 2007 09:20 AM (GMT)
I´m not that eager to watch a sequel to Brokeback, to be honest. But I´d love to see another movie with gay characters in the leading roles, just with another storyline, a different location, a different setting and hopefully with a happy end :D
MysticLady03 - May 15, 2007 01:34 PM (GMT)
If they did another movie with the main characters being gay and Vig and Orl were to play them, I could only watch at home. I would NOT be able to handle seeing them all romantic and not do something! I prefer the privacy of my own room :P .
Starr_Dust - May 15, 2007 04:25 PM (GMT)
I think the only reason they want to do a "sequel" to Brokeback Mountain is because it was the first gay movie to not suck :P
aylith - May 15, 2007 06:26 PM (GMT)
^ To not suck, or to not suck...? *snicker*

I think they should leave well enough alone. I dont think there is anything more to be said with the story. Don't ruin it.
But as others have said more gay films would be great. Especially hot man on man lovin'. :D
Merevindur - May 16, 2007 01:17 PM (GMT)
I think there should be more interesting gay and transexual movies made out there, rather than just keeping on doing cowboy ideas. What about gay movies in the sci-fi, fantasy and other genres?
It would be great for Hollywood to finally come round to doing them. :makeout: :smooch: :glomp:
What does everyone else think?
Denise - May 16, 2007 04:54 PM (GMT)
I agree with Merv, there should be more movies with gay, bi, transsexual couples etc. But please, no hollywood productions. I'd rahter have a two REAL gay actors instead of heterosexual ones. And also nonfamous, but still good looking guys :)
So two (or more ofcourse) nice hot boys, a good storyline and tadah!
And the genre fantasy sounds nice! :D Or perhaps a cute gay couple during the middleages, anyone? Someone should make a great story out of that!

Now THAT....is my cup of tea! :D
If you look at the Men Kissing Men videos, there seem to be quite a lot of films out there portraying gay men. Whether they're any good, or not, or the vids just show the best bits is another thing.
I did have a few titles in my head a few months back and was out trying to get hold of some, but couldn't find a single one at the time.
I desperately want to see the film Priest!
Merevindur - May 16, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
Denise, I do agree with you wholeheartedly about that. There should be proper gay actors playing the parts.
And we do definately need hot bodied guys too.
A cute couple in the middle ages would be great. What about a re-telling of the Robin Hood saga? He would have some very merry men!
So when are Vig and Orlando going to do the screen tests? :P :D

:wine: :wine:
I agree with that.....
@Merevindur:
There's a book in the fantasy genre called Melusine.....one of the main characters is gay....it would be a kick ass movie too!!
But i agree that they should do that more....itd be cool to at least try something!
although i think they should do it more in fantasy books and romance books and what not...and i dont think bisexual counts...
elfgirl44 - May 19, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
Techinically there should have been a gay sideline in troy as Achilles was supposed to be lover and best friend to Patrocles and not cousin. Why oh why couldn't they have stuck to the original story? Also any film with a Orli and Vig in playing gay men. I'm there! Would b some problems in the cinema as would probably make loud whooping noises every time they kiss.
LadyofLegolas - July 29, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
Brokedick Mnt. 2? I don't think so! The first was very moving and nobody should even think about messing the whole thing up.
As for other gay movies...hell yes!
Btw... imho on screen Orly can't kiss for shit, (I mean I can't feel any heat in it..but maybe I'm just too fucking picky about kissing scenes) so maybe Viggo can bring out his "wild side"...LOL
Viggo has the magic to turn even the straightest man into a nancy-boy...LOL
Also, I would have no problem to watch them in public.... the problem part would be leaving the movie...I would want to stay there for a few days to repeatedly watch the film...LOL...probably they'll have to remove me by force...LOL
L'L  :biglove:

I think that maybe Orli doesn't kiss well like you say in the movies is because he ain't attracted to the person he is kissing :P
I would have the same problem like you on seeing Vig and Orli playing gay men. They would probably have to use force to remove me and it would probably in the local news  .
Opal - July 29, 2007 06:58 PM (GMT)
I would like to see movies with gay characters that has nothing to do with their sexuality. Like if there is a movie involving a couple in it have them be two men or two women and it have nothing to do with the story.
I would admit - a nice romance between two strapping men in victorian times would be most..... pleasing. :D
Merevindur - September 19, 2007 11:47 AM (GMT)
I would like to read about Melusine that Glory2elves talked about - that would be interesting.
Also I would be impressed with reading a medieval gay romance too, as there aren't that many around on that time period.
Brokeback 2 would be a decent idea for a movie if it had one or two proper steamy scenes in it - I thought the first one was a bit watered down in those terms.
