Title: Movie Quotes
Description: For all the movie freaks
Eremir - February 22, 2005 07:44 PM (GMT)
Are we ready for a new game? My last one wasn't a real success, but here I go again. *crosses fingers*
How about sharing your favourite movie quote, and let the rest of us guess the movie? Whoever names the movie presents the next quote.
Example:
"Open war is upon you, whether you would risk it or not."
----
The Two Towers
"(new quote)"
Simple game. I'll go first, shall I? One of my favourite movie quotes ever:
"God kills indiscriminately, and so shall we. For no creature under god are as we are none so like him as ourselves."
Zoe - February 22, 2005 07:49 PM (GMT)
I'm guessing at Dracula? Don't want to quote until I know, I'll feel really stupid if it's wrong....
Aeneus - February 22, 2005 10:43 PM (GMT)
Interview with the vampire. (v-v)
I don't know the exact quote, but it goes something like this:
"If she's kept on going that way, she'd gone straigth to that castle."
Aeneus

Labyrinth! :biglove:
(Major Bowie crush when I was 7, heheh)
"IT'S REX MANNING DAY!"
(OK it's not my fave, but it's a bit harder - hopefully :P )
EDIT: OMG I killed the thread! I'm sorry thread :( *does mouth-to-mouth on thread*
Hmmm, I take it none of you have seen 'Empire Records' then. Oh well...
"We're gonna need a bigger boat..."
(if you don't get this one, feel free to sling me off this thread :P )
smalldiver - February 24, 2005 06:03 PM (GMT)
Jaws! (on a side note, why the heck would you want to attract a killer shark towards you? )
"You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
Elf Molester - February 25, 2005 10:33 AM (GMT)
The Italian Job- Classic.
''It should take you exactly four seconds to cross from here to that door. I'll give you two.''
Aeneus - February 27, 2005 07:31 PM (GMT)
Breakfast at tiffany :D
"From now on, we are enemies; you and I. Because you choose for your instrument a boastful, lustful, smutty, infantile boy and give me for reward only the ability to recognize the incarnation."
Aeneus
Eremir - March 6, 2005 12:27 AM (GMT)
We give up. :( You'll have to tell us.

Amadeus
"God has a hard on for Marines, because we kill everything we see!"
I don't know if that's the exact quote, but I thought it was funny.
xue fang - March 6, 2005 05:56 AM (GMT)
Full Metal Jacket
"Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point."

Dogma
"'Cricket'? No body understands 'cricket'! You gotta know what a 'crumpet' is before you can understand 'cricket'!"
Starr_Dust - March 10, 2005 03:01 PM (GMT)
Okay, I killed the thread. Guess I'll have to put a new quote. (That quote was from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". I can't believe no body got that! I know you're all old enough to remember that. Don't tell me I'm the biggest nerd here!) Here's an easy one:
"Like pain? Try wearing a corset"
Eremir - March 10, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
That was from Turtles!?!?!! It has been a long time since I saw the first one. The two following I've seen a lot, though... Shit. I'm supposed to know this stuff! It's what I live for!
Okay, Pirates of the Caribbean. That was a little too easy. I'm going to have to find something medium...
"Sir? I think your story just walked by the window."
Elf Molester - March 11, 2005 01:23 PM (GMT)
GODZILLA!!! Oh my god, I've seen that film a thousand times.
''Your entrance was good.......his was better.''
Aeneus - March 11, 2005 08:53 PM (GMT)
Batman Forever
"I have crossed oceans of time to find you."
Eremir - March 11, 2005 10:03 PM (GMT)
Dracula! Bram Stoker's Dracula, of course. :P
Continuing the genre... :)
"Don't debate with me, girl! Just come over here and die while you still have the option of doing it quickly!"
Eremir - March 15, 2005 10:35 PM (GMT)
What? No horror fans? No one has seen Hellraiser III? It's quite a famous quote...
Okay, I'll try something easier.
"Actually, I'm still just a friar, so I can curse all I want. Damn it!"
Zatanna - March 15, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
VAN HELSING!!! (okay, that was loud)
"No harm ever came from reading a book."
rine turelie - March 16, 2005 01:24 AM (GMT)
The Mummy, right? I hope.
I offer the next quote:
"Have her, then, but you're a lordly fool. She's been plucked since I saw her last - and not by you. It takes a woman to know it."
Not exactly my favorite quote or anything, but I watched the movie recently and it's stuck in my head.
Lithôniel - March 16, 2005 05:31 AM (GMT)
Shakespere in Love, I love that movie!
You cannot leave everything to Fate, boy. She's got a lot to do. Sometimes you must give her a hand.
Tinker Bell - March 16, 2005 07:18 AM (GMT)

From that moment on, they were my friends, my children, my band. Giving the world a new god... me.
Starr_Dust - March 17, 2005 11:30 PM (GMT)
Queen of the Damned
"Have you ever stood and stared at it? Marveled at it's beauty? It's genius? Billions of people just living out their lives......oblivious...."
Hope I don't kill the board again. :P
porcelain - March 18, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
The Matrix!!
"But this time I've grown claws: jungle red!"
*hopes she doesn't kill the thread*
porcelain - March 19, 2005 08:28 PM (GMT)
*un-kills thread*
"Again, something that could have been brought to my attention yesterday!
Worshipallelves - March 19, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
Your first quote about the jungle red claws is from "The Women"
The other, I just don't know. Here's my quote
"Perhaps your brother can comfort them. I hear he's good at charming other men's wives."

Starr_Dust - March 20, 2005 05:16 PM (GMT)
Yep that's the waterboy. So you can post a qoute now.
Eremir - March 21, 2005 09:50 PM (GMT)
YAY! :w00t: Okay, let's see...
"My mommy always said there were no monsters. No real ones. But there are."
Eremir - March 24, 2005 06:44 PM (GMT)
Come on guys, you have to know this one! Big famous movie? Sigourney Weaver? Come on! You have two out of four chances to get it right. :)

I'm gonna guess Alien, but I've never seen the movie so I'm not going to post a quote till I know for sure.
Edit: I take back my answer. I watched Alien today, and now I know that it's wrong.

I swear this was in Alien
smalldiver - March 28, 2005 06:59 PM (GMT)
It's in Aliens.
I didn't just look that up on google, honest...
Eremir - March 29, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
It was originally used in Aliens, and reused as an intro to Alien - Resurrection. That's what I meant with two out of four. Your turn smalldiver. :)
smalldiver - March 29, 2005 09:56 AM (GMT)
Ok, let's have an easy one after that one
"I am a nice shark, not a mindless eating machine. If I am to change this image, I must first change myself. Fish are friends, not food. "
Dinen Glamor - March 29, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
