"Moving the GOP in the CORRECT direction!"
Purpose and Rules
The purpose of this board is to work for change within the Republican Party.

Liberal Republicans are loyal Republicans.

We believe in low taxes, limited government, strong defense, free markets, personal responsibility, and individual liberty. We ALSO believe that all Americans have the right to freedom, liberty, equality, and economic opportunity. Too many people in our party are embracing hate, bigotry, and unbridled greed.

We are, above all, a grassroots organization for changing the party. Working together, we can not only make the GOP better, but make sure it survives in the form that Abraham Lincoln, the party's first Presidential candidate, envisioned it.

Forum Rules

Registration on this forum is free! All registrations are subject to approval by the owner of this site. Members are limited to U.S. citizens who consider themselves to be liberal Republicans, or who wish to become liberal Republicans. All others may register as Guests. We do insist that all members and guests abide by the rules and policies detailed below.

Although the administrators and moderators of Liberal Republicans will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owner of Liberal Republicans, nor any other party, will be held responsible for the content of any message.

Members and guests must respect the copyrights, patents, trademarks and/or other proprietary rights of any sites and authors they post material from. When posting articles, post no more than a few paragraphs with proper citation and a link to the source. Posts containing entire articles or more than could be considered "fair use" will be edited or removed. Anyone who repeatedly posts material in violation of copyrights will be subject to suspension or banning.

The owners of Liberal Republicans reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-explicit, hateful, threatening, violating any laws (e.g., death threats, libel, software piracy, etc.) or otherwise violate the rules and policies of this forum, including:

General Conduct

  1. Treat each other with respect. We realize the very nature of this forum virtually ensures there will be strong disagreements, but we mustn't let that degrade into abusive attacks against one another.
  2. Do not engage in personal attacks or 'stalking'. This includes but is not limited to: name-calling, wishing harm to other members, or comments about others' appearance.
  3. Do not troll, or otherwise attempt to incite a fight. This includes offensive generalizations about groups of people, and particularly about groups of people that "just happen" to include someone you are addressing. Also included are inflammatory posts made for no other reason than to “get a rise” out of someone.
  4. Keep personal communication private. Do not post the contents of any private message or email without the express consent of its author.
  5. Respect the copyrights, patents, trademarks and/or other proprietary rights of any sites and authors you post material from. When posting articles, post no more than 'several' paragraphs with proper citation and a link to the source.
  6. Do not attempt to circumvent any word filters, including filters of company names or URLs.
  7. Do not attempt to impersonate a staff member of Liberal Republicans.
  8. Do not derail public threads with comments about conduct. If you feel another member has broken the rules, notify the staff using the "report" link provided for that purpose or by other means.
  9. Hate speech may be cause for immediate suspension or banning. For the purposes of this rule, "hate speech" refers to comments that suggest or incite violence against or degradation of others based on their racial, ethnic, religious or other identity.
  10. Any abuse towards our staff and/or management may result in immediate suspension or banning.
  11. All publicly displayed messages are limited to the English language. The definition of English is left to the discretion of moderators.

Prohibited Content

  1. Do not post any adult or illegal material on this site or link to such content on external sites.
  2. Do not attempt to use the forum for commercial gain. This includes but is not limited to: members directing users to their own websites (or sites they have a commercial interest in), selling products or services, or asking members or guests to contact them regarding products and services.
  3. Do not post any commission, referral or affiliate links anywhere on the Forum without the explicit written consent of the owner.
  4. Do not post personal information about another member without express consent from that member. Personal information includes but is not limited to: the contents of private communications, real names, addresses, etc.
  5. Use of the PM system or email forms for sending spam or traffic extraction will result in immediate banning.

Starting Threads

  1. Do not create duplicate threads in different forums.
Please attempt to find the correct forum for your thread. We realize there is some overlap, but we will move any thread that is clearly in the wrong forum.
  2. Do not start a thread with the sole intention of attacking or harassing another member. Inflammatory posts made to deliberately attack or defame other members or meant to incite a topic will not be tolerated.

Registration and Profiles

  1. Do not register more than one username. Anyone caught using multiple identities, or creating a new one after being banned, may have their access blocked at the IP-address level.
  2. If you use a signature, it must be set up in your profile and not manually added to your messages. While you may list URLs in your signature, you may not list prices. Signatures should be no more than four lines and use no more than one smiley per line. Fonts should be size two (HTML) or smaller.
  3. Signatures are subject to the same restrictions as the public posts under which they appear.
  4. You may select an avatar from the existing library or upload a custom avatar. You may also upload a profile picture. Custom avatars and profile pictures must not contain any nudity, foul language, violent or inappropriate content. If you use an animated avatar, it must not be distracting.
  5. Offending signatures, avatars or profile pictures may be edited or removed by the staff without warning or recourse.

Other Rules

  1. Donations to Liberal Republicans do not exempt donors from being subject to the rules and policies of the forum. While we respect and consider the feedback of all members, donors do not receive any special consideration in the establishment of the rules and policies of Liberal Republicans. Donations are non-refundable.
  2. All decisions about interpretation of the rules are left to the staff.
  3. The opinions, advice, and all other information found on this forum do not necessarily represent the opinions of Liberal Republicans owners and staff. If you choose to rely on information found here, Liberal Republicans bears no responsibility for the outcome.
  4. The owner and moderators of Liberal Republicans reserve the right to remove, edit or move posts at our discretion and without explanation. If a post of yours is removed, you may contact a Guide or Moderator for more information.
  5. Users who violate any of the above rules will usually receive a warning prior to being banned. However, we reserve the right to ban members for a first offense at our discretion.
  6. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without notice.
