Red White and Blue Ribbon Fair

PATRIOT DAY

Williamson County Fair

09 Aug 08

Williamson County Fair is honoring all Military Personnel, past and present, on this day. All Veterans will have free access. The programs for the day appear to be very interesting.

Events Schedule: http://www.sitemason.com/files/j3rVPW/2008...ule%20Aug.9.pdf

Williamson County Fair is providing two buses to transport the families of deployed service personnel from Ft. Campbell to the fair where they will be guests of the fair. We have been asked to assist in this endeavor. Also, to assist the Veterans as they obtain wristbands, this will allow admittance to the fair and the activities.

Yes, we will receive the wrist bands which will allow us to these activities. If you, your spouse or guest is NOT a Veteran, they can make a request to the fair for these bands. (See NOTE below for details)

The Veterans will get one of our Veteran ribbons to pin on their jackets.

3 Part Mission

Part 1:

9:00am, Be at Gate 7, Ft. Campbell . Escort 2 buses of dependent families of deployed service personnel to the Williamson County Fairgrounds where they will be guests of the fair for the day.

(Ag Expo Park , 4215 Long Ln, Franklin , TN)

Part 2:

Assist at the Veterans Tent at the fairgrounds. Welcome Veterans and assist with issuing the armbands to allow free entrance to the Fair. All Veterans will have free admission. Should only take a couple of hours for this.

Part 3:

4:45pm, Help load the families on the buses and escort back to Ft. Campbell

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has been gracious in providing a Trooper to escort the buses both from Ft. Campbell to the fair, but also to assist in returning the busses to Clarksville .

NOTE:
Non-military PGR members, our spouses, significant others or close friends who ride with us will need to fill out and bring with them the “Volunteer Application”. They will also get a wristband for the day - otherwise, it will cost them an admission price to get past the gate if they wish to go inside the Expo Center, check out the mid-way or look at the exhibits, etc. The wristbands will be at the Veterans tent at the bottom of the ramp - will have a "Welcome Veterans" banner displayed for identification. The waiver can be found at http://www.sitemason.com/files/jj0zks/Volu...ication_Rex.pdf.

If you plan on participating contact Charley “Hamberger” Umberger, umbergercw@comcast.net, (615) 210-0649 so he can let the fair POC know how many wristbands to have available for out non-Veteran participants.
