I was just notified by Outlaw Field, SPC Joshua L. Plocica was KIA on June 25, 2008. I have not further details at this time. The DOD has not been released, but I have been in contact with the CAO and SPC Plocica will be coming home to Clarksville, TN. He was stationed out of Ft. Campbell...........

Anticipated airport arrival as early as Sunday Morning. Pending confirmation from the family now. The CAO will be talking with the tomorrow morning concerning arrangements, and if they would like us to Honor him with a flag line at the airport and/or funeral home.

He is due back in the states at Dover, DE tomorrow at 1430, they will hold him there 48 hours before he can be shipped home to his family.

It's with a sad and heavy heart that I must post Tennessee has lost another American Hero, SPC Joshua L. Plocica, 20, of Clarksville, TN, died June 25, 2008 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

SPC Plocica, a Clarksville soldier, following in the footsteps of his family members when he enlisted in the Army in August 2006, shortly after graduating from Rossview High School. His Grandfather, Army retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 Michael T. True, and his Uncle, Master Sgt. William C. Clark, served their country, and Spc. Plocica wanted to do his part and follow in their footsteps........SPC Plocica would want his family and friends to celebrate his life, not mourn his death, his mom said......

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Thompson, father, David Corbin, and sister Brenna Corbin.
