Long time no talk since I have not been in the Ft. Campbell chapter of Operation Homefront. With me being with our National organization I now handle the state of Kentucky. The Ft. Campbell chapter handles Ft. Campbell and Tennessee. I wanted to let you know about a family in Kentucky in crisis. Both husband and wife are Kentucky National Guard. The husband is in Iraq right now. The family’s home caught on fire the other night and they lost everything in their kitchen, clothes, and a lot more personal items. Can you please put a notice out among the Kentucky Patriot Guard members and see if we might be able to collect some items for this family. They are in need of Dishes, pots, pans, all kitchen appliances, mattresses for the kids, towels, wash cloths. The children lost most of their clothing as well as the mother. I am reaching out to everyone I know for this family. Thank you for caring for our families, Vicki Vicki Sarracino Operations Manager Operation Homefront 931-802-7442 vicki@operationhomefront.net |

Sent: Fri 3/21/08 7:28 PM To: 'Don Woodrick' (dtswood@hotmail.com) The family lives in Simpsonville, KY. The National Guard Armory that is taking up collections is in Frankfort, KY at the Ben Center (I believe this is where she said). Anything that can be done would be great. I am going to see if our National office will pay for a place for them to stay while her house is being cleaned and provide them with food and clothing certificates. Vicki |

The State Family Support Group is collecting donations at "Armory #1" at Boone Center (KY National Guard HQ is also here) in Frankfort. Anyone needing an address to send donations can contact me for mine or we'll get the official address for the armory. Many thanks to Operation Homefront and all others who care about our troops! |
