It is with a heavy heart that I must post Tennessee has lost another American Hero, PFC Kristopher Cox, 22, United States Marine Corps. He was in an auto accident at his assignment in Hawaii.

This will be a multi-state Mission:

First Part:

Tennessee February 28 - 29, 2008

Airport Escort: February 28th, Thursday. Flight is due in Nashville, TN at 1435. Escort to the Murfreesboro Funeral Home, 145 Innsbrooke Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN

Staging: K-Mart, 520 Donelson Pike, Nashville, Tn @ 1345 CST, KSU 1415 CST.

Ride Captain: TBA

Visitation & Services: Friday, February 29th, Visitation from 1400-1800 hrs. CST, followed by the services. Following services, PFC Cox will be escorted back to the Nashville Airport. We will have a flag line at the funeral home for our Hero.

Airport Escort: Dayton, OH, Saturday, March 1st, flight is due in at 1007. Escort from the airport to Doans & Mill's Funeral Home in Richmond, IN.

Visitation & Services: Sunday, March 2nd, Visitation from 1100 - 1400 hrs, service to follow. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Centerville, IN. Full Military Honors will be rendered.

We will stage in the back parking lot

We have been asked by the family of PFC Cox to attend services for their son on Sunday March 2 (this Sunday). There is private visitation from 10AM until 2PM. We will stage at 13:00 with a brief riders meeting to follow. Please be respectful (as I know you will) when arriving because of the private visitation that will be going on during that time. We will stand the flag line from 13:30 until 14:00. The service begins at 14:00 and is expected to last about 1 hour. We will reform at 14:30 for the departure of PFC Cox and family.
We have been asked to escort the procession to Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville Indiana which is approximately 6 miles West of Richmond off IN40. There is a escort mission on Saturday from Dayton to Richmond. For information on that please see the Ohio thread. The weather looks to be clear on Sunday but please come in the safest mode of transportation possible.

We have been given the Honor of Escorting PFC Kristopher Lee Cox to Richmond, IN.

where he will be laid to rest.



PFC Kristopher Lee Cox served tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, he was wounded in Iraq.

Kristopher passed away in Hawaii, where he was stationed 19 February 2008 as the results of a car accident.


Bob Woods is the assigned Ride Captain for this Honor Escort. Please make sure you are on time and gassed up and dressed for the weather conditions. It is approximately 40 miles to the Funeral Home.


Remember we will be going onto Airport property so all Security rules apply to EVERYONE.
