Paige has the ability to shed her outer layer of skin and reveal a new layer or shape underneath, and when “husking” her skin, she can form her body into different materials, that take on a Paige-like appearance.
She can become any solid that she has studied and can imitate adamantium, diamond, granite, wood, rubber, brick, even glass. She also has the capability to blend in with surroundings, but in order to do that, she would have to study the texture she seeks to copy first.
Paige has also controlled her powers to the point where she can change only part of her body – for example, like changing her hand into a bladed weapon. When Paige morphs into a different layer, she often takes on new physical abilities, such as increased weight, strength, or invulnerability. She can husk away minor injuries, but she still feels them like any regular person, and deeper ones will stay with her. She can hold a form for about an hour before she needs to revert back to her original form. Paige can morph repeatedly, is not required to stay in any one form, but too many transformations can become very painful. In great stress or trauma, Paige can shed without control, revealing patchwork forms.

Boys who take a look at Paige have been known to basically fall in love. Long, silky tresses fall down and gently brush her shoulders, surrounding a delicate, porcelain complextion with a few, faint freckles on her nose, and natrually blushful cheeks.
Eyes that cross between a blue and a light green stand under long, full eyelashes.
The best word to describe Paige's body would be petite. Slender, long legs support the girl, giving her a queitly graceful look, with the small curves on her body.
Personality:
Paige, to put it in a few words, is a burst of life. A splurge of energy. A never-ending source of vivacity and the essence of spirit.
She is confident and outgoing. Down-to-earth and cheeky.
Her zealous nature makes her the heart of any social event. Whether it's just hanging-out with a few best friends, or flirting with cute boys, Paige wouldn't miss it for the world. To her, wasting life is both boring and implausible. So why not make the most of it, and having some fun? Well, at least that's her motto.
Unlike many girls her age, who hide behind their hair and mumble, Paige is quite comfortable with herself, the source of all her self-assurance. It portrays from the way she carries herself, and illuminates her from a crowd.
She's, no denying it, a people pleaser. Awkward moments and silence are things that are practically unbearable for Paige, and if it means she has to sit in the bathroom for hours with a sobbing friend, she'll do it. Growing up, she had always been used to having people around her, and because of it, she finds her greatest optimism with them.
Paige knows what she wants in life, and goes for it. Although she's flirty and energetic as any girl may be, she's got the determination to get things to work in her favor, even if that means she has to get a little competitive. She pushes herself to the limit, and isn't tolerant of mistakes, especially her own. Despite what some people may think, Paige's got her feet realistically set on the ground – but that doesn't stop her from jumping off it every so often.
Her charm and charisma earns her many friends, and if they're important enough to her, she'll fight to the end for them. She's also honest, almost to the point of being painful. If you want to know if your new dress makes your hips look too big, ask Bianca, because she'll give you the facts, but soften them with suggestions on other, more flattering clothes.
Another thing about her is that she's always been a jealous person. Not of material things, as some may think, but of the people close to her. She'd take it harder if one of her friends ditched her to hang out with somebody else, or even if, for example, her classmate is getting too friendly with the new student for comfort. If she cares for someone, she'll defend them without hesitation.

History:
Fifteen years ago, on a warm June morning, Lucinda Guthrie screamed. Her contractions had begun, and when Thomas realized his wife was giving birth, he rushed her to the local hospital, and their second born child was delivered there. Paige hadn’t been expected for another week and a half, so everyone was bustling around nervously, especially her concerned father. After hours of painful labor, a beautiful little girl with eyes like the ocean was brought to the world. Or at least, that was her father’s version of the story. Thomas and Lucinda were absolutely in love with their new baby daughter, and in their eyes, she could do no wrong. They both wanted the best for her, and her older brother, Samuel, who was excited at the prospect of having another kid around the house.
Even at a young age, Paige could remember only one state that her house was always in: hustling.
Lucinda, five months later, learned that she was pregnant again, and this time with twins. By the time she gave birth, there were two new additions to the Guthrie family – Joshua and Joelle, though she didn't stop there.
The Guthrie household was always messy, happy, and busy. Children played basket-ball and football inside the house, you never knew what would end up on your plate for dinner, and instead of talking to one another in regular voices, everyone shouted their words from across the room.
Growing up as a Guthrie meant that Paige and her siblings had responsibility and freedom, since their parents couldn't watch them all every minuet, but had a very rigid education. In their house, no meant no. And watch out if you ever broke a single rule, because you'd at least get a small slap on the bum. Paige quickly grew up as a regular, happy child. She was constantly interested in everything that came her way. She had several pets, liked to draw, and played sports with her brothers. When she turned eight, her newest baby brother Lewis had just been born, and she, had finally been introduced to her love of horses. Her family owned one of the few ranches in the town, which meant that she grew up around cattle and horses. Paige picked out a dark-brown mare, Whisper, and claimed it as her own, and could ride as well as any of her brothers.
In school, Paige had tried to be the best, even if that meant she had to sit in the kitchen for hours, head bent over her school-work.
She had many friends in school, and despite having a large family that some liked to poke fun at, as Paige said it “We Guthries gonna stick together even when the sun doesn't shine”. She and her siblings all learned how to stand up and take care of themselves, and when the occasion called for it, they learned how to stick together against others.
Paige was thirteen when her father died in an accident. Her mother did her best, trying to raise her children, and even took up a job at the convenient store in town, but she couldn't make ends meet on her own. So, Samuel began to work in the Kentucky coal mines. It was dangerous work, but it kept food on the table. He managed to stay caught up in school, but it wasn't exactly an ideal life for sixteen-year-old.
One day, one of the sections of the cave collapsed, leaving him and several other workers trapped. His mutant powers triggered, and with them, he used them uncontrollably but effectively, getting himself and others out alive.
Charles Xavier, a man with a school for young mutants, tracked him through Cerebro and offered him a place where he could learn to control his powers, which he agreed to.
Paige was happy for her brother, but extremely jealous that he got to leave the sleepy town that they lived in, and could live an exciting new life.
But since Samuel was gone, Paige had little time to brood, since now the responsibility of making sure that taxes were all payed fell onto her shoulders. She took up two part-time jobs during the weekend, and a full-time job on Saturday and Sunday, though she still had a hard time getting enough money.
Paige became desperate to escape her life in Kentucky, and have some adventure.
She tried everything to see if she had any powers. Paige would jump off a high fence to see if she could fly, or concentrate as hard as she could to see if she could make things move with her mind. Eventually, one night as Paige was walking outside, she yelled out to the heavens, “If you're gonna make me a mutant, do it soon or else I'm gonna tear myself outta my skin!”
As she stood shivering in the cold night, and amazing thing happened – Paige did tear out of her skin. She didn't fully understand her new-found abilities, but all the same, fell to her knees in joy and thanked the stars.
She didn't tell anyone of that night, but instead used her powers as often as she could in secret, trying to control and use them properly. Paige greeted her usually tedious jobs with new enthusiasm, and much to the surprise of her mother, Paige, who normally was too tired to cook meals, began to cook breakfast and dinner on a regular basis.
On a humid August day, a few boys looking for trouble cornered Paige after school, taunting her and her mutant brother. One of them flicked out a small pocket-knife, and when he struck her, the boy grinned as she cried out.
But, to his and his friends' amazement, Paige quickly standed up, put her hand to the spot on her cheek where she had been cut, and tore her skin off, revealing unblemished skin underneath.
Of course, the word got out, but the prejudice that some of the students held against her didn't worry Paige.
Cerebro immediately pin-pointed the young girl's location, and once Jean Grey was with him, professor Xavier flew out to Kentucky.
Telling Joshua, the oldest next to her, that now it was his responsibility to help out the family, Paige took up Xavier's offer.
Back-pack in hand, and with raised eyebrows, Paige followed the two mutants, unknowing what might lay ahead of her in the future.

The strong, stinging smell of alcohol hung in the air, the moment Terry stepped into the bar.
But then again, why shouldn't it? After all, it had been the reason she came.
Back in Dublin, most bartenders didn't check the age of their customers – as long as they had money. Besides, whenever she had gone, she had skillfully traced her eyes with the slightest hint of black eyeliner, and wore more form-fitting clothes to appear older. The trick usually worked, and here was no exception.
Yes, it was against the rules in Xavier's to even be here. Sure, she would probably end up in weeks worth of detention if she got caught.
Though, instead of choosing the more appealing pubs, she had picked one that she suspected the school staff wouldn't dare to go. Terry had never been one to pay attention to many of the rules. It took the fun out of nearly everything.
Taking a small glance around, she swiftly took in her surroundings: the light that alight the otherwise dim pub, the wide door-way leading into a vaster room, a small group of people shuffling around a card table. Aside from a few men seated together at different sections of tables, the place was otherwise empty, though there was plenty of noise from a few riled gamblers.
Quickly tucking a few loose, silky hairs behind her ear, she confidently walked forward, she usual aura of confidence following her. This was her first time coming to this particular tavern, yet she still felt completely at ease being there. Maybe it was the fact that they had vodka, or because she had been to her fair share of bars in the last year, or perhaps both.
Either way, taking a seat, Terry looked back at the bar-tender with the same civil but cold smirk, an affable smile that told him clearly that he need merely to get her what she wanted, and to not ask questions.
“Starka Vodka,” she said simply, giving the man a small obliging nod of acknowledgment.
After waiting for a few seconds, and handing the guy a crisp bill, Terry smiled as she put the glass to her lips, the thing she had really come for.
Call her an Irish girl through and through, but in her opinion, not much was better than the taste of alcohol.
