Nonchalance...perhaps, until two of his former band mates appeared.

Both took turns to ask him questions “on behalf of your fans”. “How was your mandarin” was the first question. The next one was really fun, “which fan would you want to bring with if you were stranded on a deserted island”. Girls, you remember? He dodged that tricky one by choosing a guy…sigh!

Thanks Agatha for the nice write-up :) For those of you who didn't/unable to attend the birthday bash last Sunday, that was a detailed account of the memorable event... rolleyes:

well i thought his reason for choosing a guy was rather "valid" hahaa it made us laugh anyway! smart move, jon (;

(But, Eve, as an afterthought, why would it be "unfair" if he had not chosen a guy? :blink: He could still have chosen his pet - after all it is probably his most faithful and loyal fan.)

Another nugget: when presented with a bouquet of sunflowers, his remark was, "it makes me feel like a woman". :lol:

Hello Lynn, me thinks the two of us are very annoying... :P
He had a good reason to choose a guy. He said he is "lazy" and wanted someone to pitch the tent, hunt for food, etc., so he chose a strong guy. Logical.

Precisely why he won't choose his dog. He prefers someone to take care of his needs, right? If he wants to choose a pet, then perhaps his Nhon (langur) would be more useful. Can search for bananas or fruits for him. It's quite agile and can also help look out for passing ships or dingy while swinging from tree to tree. Can also fan him with a leave when he's hot...

Anyway, I was really impressed with Jon's answer to Eugene's question; he was quick & witty with that one!
