Unconscious Muggle Target of Unforgivable
by Gladys Malarkey A Muggle was found unconscious in a remote corner of the Bristol Zoo three days ago by the witch Gwenever Bing, 65, of the locale. The Daily Prophet does not know the name of the Muggle in question, but it is estimated that the male Muggle in question was approximately 35 years in age. Upon the startling discovery of the Muggle, who was completely covered with bruises, Madame Bing made sure to get the Muggle to St. Mungos, for as a retired employee of the Department of Magical Law enforcement, she recognized what could possibly be effects of the Cruciatus Curse. The absence of any actual cuts in the skin further this suspicion. At St. Mungo’s, the Muggle’s memory was modified in case he indeed had been attacked by a wizard with a wand, and the Prime Minister, the one Muggle permitted to be aware of our community due to the potential danger to non-magic folk, was notified. The Prime Minister made sure to arrange for the Muggle to be set up in a regular hospital and given the story that he had been attacked by a group of gang members. (For those of you who do not know of the Muggle definition of a “gang,” it is a group of delinquents or criminals, typically in their teens and 20s, who often walk around with guns and knives and attack those who anger them and occasionally random people. A gun is a metal wand Muggles use to kill each other. ) This way, the injured Muggle would pass yet unawares of our community. This is the second attack on a Muggle in the span of just over a week. On 30 June, 4 Muggle girls were killed. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and his followers may be “entertaining” themselves with Muggles for the moment, but it is only a matter of time before members of the wizard community begin falling victim- if the members of the wizarding community are not careful. Remember that Muggles are not the only ones in danger of being harmed at the hands of the Dark Side, which seems to be growing quite active. Exercise caution, and keep your eyes open. Do not lose hope. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was stopped once, by the Boy Who Lived… perhaps that will happen again, either through Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore (whom the older members will remember as the hero who killed Grindelwald in 1945) - or some individual yet unrevealed by Fate. -------------------- Tricia, the Racewalking Hobbit of Justice, Bearer of Cheese
