I've been sussing out a few sigs on my forum and some are like over 600kb and contain an animation, the other is like over 300km and also animated. Mine and Saints are like 64 ish and 24kb.

Are there any regulation rules for forums as to the standard kb size of sigs.

I doubt if I could get the boss to change his but ummm maybe if I suggest it.

The filesize limit for sigs and avatars usually depends on the specific forum rules. I always try to keep the filesize of a sig below 35Kb. 75Kb is my personal maximum, but I only go that far if it's absolutley necessary. For avatars I'll try to stay below 6kB and my limit is 15kB (which should be more than enough).

Thnx Toasty, that's what I wanted to know.

I realise all forums are different but if I were to have an idea I could then approach the topic with the others.

Next Q, do you save your sigs as 12 maximum or 8 as jpgs on PS CS ?

Neither 8 nor 12. Best thing to go is the Save for web feature, imo. It comes in very handy if you want to have a low file size and a good quality.
