In the early hours of morning Lailah swiftly moved through the trees, her feet carrying her from branch to branch as she went through the surrounding forest. coming to the waterfall she stopped. Pausing before she dropped down to the ground. She wore her usually short kimono, the black material embroidered with dark violet, her long hair pulled back, piled in a messy bun on top of her head, a few rosy strands falling from it, framing her sapphire eyes as she gazed at the waterfall in the light of the rising sun.

She sighed softly, this was her usual routine, coming here to meditate and gain focus before class. However today she'd been given a job by one of the senseis...she was to find those students of Class E and have them report to the school for class. So far she'd already found all of them except for one. She sighed, there was one though who she could never find though, and after spending a good part of her morning searching she finally had given up and gone to the waterfall.

Sitting down by the edge of the water she pulled off her sandles and dipped her feet into the chilly waters, taking a moment to relax. Pulling her hair out of it's bun she let it fan out around her as she lay back on the soft grass, enjoying the feel of the warm sunshine and the cool water, clearing her mind as she relished in the peace of this beautiful morning despite the job she'd had to do earlier.

Suddenly a shadow covered Lailah's face, blotting the light from the sun was Rex's face staring down at the Class A.

Hands burried on his jacket pocket, messy hair and cargo pants, his posture, slack and carefree, a chocolate bar pinned between his teeth, and the aura of i-dont-give-a-shit-unless-its-interesting...he was the perfect manifestation of the line 'what you see is what you get'

in short, he looked like a lazy jerk, and a lazy jerk is what he is.

...Rex Kheele

IQ 200...

Class E...

...four times drop out, six times enrollee...

...and enjoying it.

"Yo." he grinned, "...looking for me?"

Lailah opened her eyes when she felt a shadow block the warmth of the sun. She stared up at Rex in surprise to see the E-Class student there. Quickly she got to her feet, facing him as she reached out and grabbed his arm, making sure he wouldn't go running off, "Where have you been? The senseis wanted me to come find you..." She sighed, "You know you'll never rise any higher than E Class if you don't actually do anything at school." She chided softly.

Despite the other's E status she knew why Rex was allowed back into the school every time...she'd heard about his genius and skills, "Why are you such a slacker anyways? What are you trying to prove?"

"What do you care." Rex replied, he was sitting and leaning on a nearby tree behind Lailah, "I thought the likes of you are too busy ass kissing with the teachers to actually care about trivial things like whats goin on my head."

Grabbing the chocolate bar from his mouth he licked his lips and smiled at Lailah. She was holding unto a water clone and as planned took she the bait.

"Careful." Rex stared at his fake body which Lailah was holding, "he might--" instantly the waterclone exploded and bathed the Class A.

"--too late." the chocolate returned to his mouth.

"What do you care."

"Wha--?" Lailah turned to look at where the voice had come from, she looked at Rex in surprise before she looked back at the clone she held. Before she could scramble away though she found herself doused in the chilling water.

The silk kimono stuck to her body, cold, wet, she turned fully towards Rex, glaring, "It is my duty as a A Class student to help the teachers and my peers. It is not ass-kissing...it is responsibility. You should try it out sometime. I really just can't fathom how you can act in such an irresponsible way Rex..."

"Responsibility, asskissing... pft." Rex scoffed, the chocolate gave a crack as he bit half of it off, "...its all the same to me." lazily he pulled himself up, dusted his pants and stared at Lailah, chewing.

"tell me lailah, what do you get from this? besides from being wet i mean. What incentives did the sensei's offer you?" The class E gave a questioning look.

Lailah blushed, embarrassed by the other's comments about what she was doing, "What are you talking about? There is no incentives...I told you before that this is a responsibility given to me." Suddenly she was gone, a blur before she reappeared behind Rex, grabbing his arm before twisting it up behind his back.

"I'm sorry I have to do this, but this is a job I must do, and if you are not going to make it easy for me well then I guess I cannot go easy on you either." Her voice was soft, but stern, putting a bit more pressure on Rex's arm.

Without warning Rex did the unexpected.

He planted his right foot between her stand, twisted his body until his arm broke with a sickening snap, faced Lailah, embraced her using his other arm, then leaned down and pulled her close...

...then kissed her.

"...yeah yeah, thats what they all say, no incentives, not expecting incentives, not accepting... blah blah yadda yadda." The voice came from beside her, he was walking towards the class A, Rex with his lazy expression and a chocolate stuck in his mouth.

For a moment the class E stared at the scene, at his clone then at Lailah.

"I dont think you guys are going easy on each other." He grinned, shrug then devoured the remaining chocolate.

"...well class A..." He was licking his fingers, "...it seems you're pretty persistent." he pulled several dice from his jacket pocket. Instantly the water clone that was kissing Lailah exploded.

"...lets see what you got."

When Rex began to twist in her hold she almost let go...he wouldn't...would he? She let go when she heard the bones snap, but before she could pulled away she found herself pulled close by him with his good arm and then...

Blue eyes widened in pure shock as lips pressed against her's. She pushed against him, trying to pull away. This guy was either crazy or stupid, though at the moment she was thinking it was a mixture of both. Breaking from the kiss she turned her head away only to look at another Rex just observing, "You--!" Once again the girl found herself throughly soaked as the second water clone exploded.

The moment that happened the water from the clone suddenly stopped dripping to the ground, threads formed, more water coming up from the pond until about three water threads hovered near Lailah, "That's it...I will not play your games any longer...you've left me no choice..." The threads shot towards Rex with surprising speed, intent upon binding the E Class student so that he could play no more of his tricks.

Crouching down to the ground Rex cradled a dice between his thumb, aim then flicked it towards Lailah.

The dice struck her left hand, then another followed which struck her left shoulder, both are too weak to cause damage. All they did was bounce down to the ground.

He waited for the strings to be inches away from his face before rolling to his side, then pulled himself to a stand.

He twisted his lips then frowned, the dices didnt even do anything.

Lailah pulled back the water threads once Rex dodged them. She looked down at the dice on the ground, using one of the threads she picked it up, her lips twisting into a frown as well as she looked at the toy, "Real clever Rex...but it's time to stop goofing around."

With the other two threads she shot them once more at him, intent of finishing the job she was suppose to do. She moved rushing at him as well, curving around to get behind him should he dodge again, the third string of water spiraling towards him.

Gritting his teeth the class E positioned himself close to the ground, then fired three more dices, this time hitting Lailah's right hand then right shoulder and the third struck her by the forehead.

He cursed, as once again they bounced off her harmessly.

Rex instantly reacted when he saw the strings coming up to him, he twisted his body then rolled to the ground, but this time his hand was anchored to the grass, then he flipped to the air, using both if his hands he fired several more dices towards Lailah who was flanking him from behind. But it seems that being airborne ruined his aim and his projectiles hit branches instead of flesh.

He landed with his back towards Lailah, then rolled to his side just in time to dodge the third string.

Lailah swatted at the dice as they hit her, the things a bother, but causing no damage except a distraction...was this guy really the genius that the teachers had spoken of? The only thing he seemed to be skilled at was dodging.

When he dodge the third thread she saw her opening, suddenly she was behind him once more, grabbing both his arms now, holding tightly, "Maybe if you actually went to class you'd wouldn't be beaten by a "kiss ass" like me." She replied with a smile, seeing herself with the advantage in this fight.

Rex frowned, "Heh, well it seems you got me."

For a moment the class E closed his eyes, then slowly a smile grew on his face.

"...or perhaps its the other way around."

Stretching his hands forward he pulled Lailah close to his back, then with a grin he twisted his body and in a split second he performed the shoulder throw, a common jujitsu move that uses the shoulders and arm movement to push the opponent off balance and using the hips to maneuver the throw.

He sent the class A hovering above him, but before she could hit the ground with her head he flicked his fingers and stretched his hands beside him.

Instantly Lailah's limbs shot to her sides, as if an invisible rope was tied to her arms and legs and she was extended to the air like an insect trapped on a spider's web, upside down.

"...kiss ass. ...well, atleast you did admit that you are." He crouched down to the ground to match her level. Slowly he brought his hands close to his face, the pressure to Lailah's limbs tightened but not enough to hurt her, from around them the branches of the trees groaned and swayed towards them.

Then like a cue the sun bathed them with light, Rex smiled.

From the tip of his fingers the chakra strings shimmered, small strings glimmering like spiders silk reflecting the sun as they twist from the pressure, they were connected to the tip of his fingers, extending towards the trees around them, achored on the branches and ending up on Lailah's limbs. He used the dice to connect the strings to her hands and shoulders, where the chakra strings burrowed to her spores, penetrating her muscles in her hands, the strings in her legs were tied when he threw her off his back. Then by pulling the strings together he had created a pressure between Lailah's limbs and the branches, using them like a pulley.

"...well, it looks like you're skipping morning lessons with me." He winked at her.

Lailah sighed as Rex began to talk again, her grip tightening as he spoke. Did he have another trick. She prepared herself, but suddenly she moving unwillingly, the world spinning as she was chucked over the E Class' shoulder. Her hands where in his, and he wasn't letting go, the ground rushing towards her.

There was a jerk, and her body jolted. She closed her eyes, waiting for the impact only to feel none after a few seconds. Opening her eyes she looked at Rex, glaring at him when she saw the strings pulling her body wide, holding her just above the ground. Eyes widened as she realized what had happened, the dice, the string...in her head she took back calling him stupid, though now she was pretty sold on his lack of sanity

The girl tried to move at first, looking for a weaknesses in the technique, trying to get her hands free enough to move, to defend herself.

Her struggling stopped as Rex spoke of missing morning classes, she gave him the iciest look she could, "Let me go!"
