TR finished their mini tour in Japan and now there's going back in the studios to record the new album.

Next album will come out next autumn. By now, they've done 6 demos already, between sound checks and in the tour bus while touring. There's gonna be a cover of a song (Pet Shop Boy - It's A Sin probably). And one song called "My Immortal". I read somewhere there's gonna be 16 songs on the album, but its pretty hard to make 16songs in one shot. no? Not sure about that lol..

And for the touring, well its difficult to tour AND record at the same time, and anyway they've already gone almost everywhere they were really famous to tour, no need to come back in those cities

They'll probably do a tour after the next album will come out, probably Europe/Scandinavia first, than will come Asia, America and Australia...

The new video for Life Burns is supposed to come out soon (around March). It already have been filmed, but there's no link to see it on the net right now

THE RASMUS WINS AGAIN
The Rasmus's video for the track 'Funeral Song' won a silver Muuvi-prize last night at the annual Muuvi Video Gala in Helsinki. The video is directed by the Baranga Brothers, aka Swedes Niclas Fronda and Fredrik Löfberg.

The Rasmus and the directors are very happy with the prize. The band is currently in the studio, working on the forthcoming album due out later this year.

Rumour about Aki
....there is a rumour that Aki Hakala will be the drummer in a band for a russian girl in the Eurovision Song Contest. Well, that is just NOT true. Aki is busy recording the next The Rasmus album, and sends his best to all fans out there!

THE RASMUS' NEW ALBUM

The Rasmus new album "Hide from the sun" is set for world wide release on September 12. The first single will be available on August 29.
The Rasmus are currently in a recording studio in Stockholm. So far the band have many excellent new tracks ready and they're writing/recording more, treating each track as a potential single.
The album is being produced by the same team that was responsible for "Dead Letters". All songs are written by The Rasmus.
The album "Hide from the sun" is the follow-up to their breakthrough album "Dead letters".

The Rasmus Europe´s favourite
The Rasmus dominates Billboard magazine's 'most sold records in Europe' chart. According the European Border Breaker-list, The Rasmus was the band to sell most records in Europe outside of their home country.

– The success of Finnish music last year was phenomenal. No other country could equal that, says Billboard journalist Emmanuel Legrand in the press release.

THE RASMUS NEW ALBUM IS READY

The new album from The Rasmus "Hide from the sun", which is released in September, has been finished.
- Now the most important thing is to pick a good song as the single and pick so international video-makers for it, that the video would work all around the world. We don't want to do many versions to the video from the same song, as we needed to do with "In The Shadows", the drummer of The Rasmus, Aki Hakala defines.
THe preparation for the release of the new album keeps The Rasmus busy, but the four guys have also a little time to calm down before the marketing of the new album.
- I'm not going to go travelling for a while, 'cause I just moved to a new appartement. I'm gonna stay at Helsinki, though I am born in Espoo. Now it's nice to do all kinds of stuff at the new home. I'm painting and that kind of things, Aki laughs.

Hi all Rasmus fans!

Both good and bad news - unfortunately there won't be any more gigs under the summer than the two Finnish festivals. The band wants to wait until the new album is released so that they can play some new songs too.
But - there will be a tour in October, probably first Finland, then three dates in Sweden, and then also gigs in Norway and Denmark. Dates and places will be announced later on.
The Rasmus are incredibly keen on getting out on the road again and play, after so much time sitting in the studio, day and night for a few months.
The new material sounds amazing!
Fun that you'll meet up in Gothenburg! Say hi to everyone from the band

the dates posted here by dark feathers are for interviews/radio-tv-magazine promotion
it's that all that's going on is a quiet interview or three conducted in the hotel or studio for any photoshoots, no public appearances.

Finally the video for the single "No Fear" it's going to be shot this Saturday, in Berlin.
The video, like you already know, it's going to be directed by Jörn Heitmann, responsible for the last three videos of Rammstein.
The Spanish magazine 'Loka Magazine' will be on the shooting to do an article about it, and it will be the only media on the place!
An advance, the video will be shot at night.
Tomorrow (Friday) will take place on the Universal studios, another pre-hearing of the new album with the winners of the competition from 'Loka Magazine'.
