what I love most about this game is the atmosphere. they really nailed the feel of a totally rundown post apocalyptic area in eastern europe rusted and burned out cars, broken buildings, crashed trains, piles of crap wandering packs of dogs that like to bite you but run away at the sound of gunfire groups of bandits sitting around a fire one of them playing guitar it's a great game. the quests are cool, like there are a couple 'protect the scientist' quests, and if the enemies end up killing the dude it's not that big of a problem, the quest keeps moving but your information will be less accurate or whatever for the coming adventures anomalies can be annoying, and there are no cheats which is a bummer for a casual gamer like me, but it's doable the variety of guns is great, and the durability, and the ability to change scopes, silencers and grenade launchers on some of them is pretty cool the voiceacting is interesting with Russian/Ukrainian accented english and Russian/Ukrainian background speech (I wish I knew what they were saying!)
fun game, there are some bugs, but the patches are cutting down on them and interestingly enough improving the framerate which is good, because this game is on the bleeding edge of what my system can handle Bioshock on this computer? Forget it! that would be like running Vista on an Amiga . . .
