Hi Guys,
I back form the Middle-East, and back at work. :(
It was a great holiday. I did not get to go down to the Dead Sea, as my eldest was sick for a few days. But that alright, I just make sure I do it on my next trip over, but that will be in a few years. I want to go somewhere different next. I thinking the US or the Far-East, or maybe a part of Europe I have not been to yet. Will see.
I got eaten alive by mossy. One of the guys on the Kaput said my legs looked like I had aid with all the bits. The funny thing is no one else got bitten when I was around.
I spent a few days in Tel Aviv. Went on the first bus route to be attacked by terrorist. That was a little un-nerving. You watch everyone that get on the bus. But they have not attacked them in a while but still.
I visited Mike’s Place. Another place that was attacked on the beach front, right next to the American Embassy. They had some great music and food, and one of the best beacon and chesses buggers I have ever had.
That one thing I miss when I come back form there is the food. It is unbelievable, if you over look that beacon is very hard to come by, and that most Places are Kosher and closed on a Saturday. (Their working week is form Sunday to Thursday)
I spent four hours on Saturday, before my flight back looking for somewhere that was open so I could have my last decent Falafel. I found a small place just as I was about to give up and it was delicious. LOL
I did not take as my as I wanted, as the wife use most of the camera memory on pics of the kids and family we have out there.
This is a pic of the Golan Heights, to left where it start to flatten out is Israel, to right of the photo and over the mountain is Lebanon. Form where I am standing, behind this photo and few miles is the boarder with Syria.

In the middle of this pic and at the bottom of the mountain is Qiryat Shemona. I was staying just out side of this town. It was also the most heavily hit place in Israel during last years War. I had been there two year before, the War. from what I could see the town had not changed except the highway they where building when I first went there was now finished.

The flat plane to the right of this photo in the distance is the boarder with Lebanon. I saw a lot of guns ships patrolling a lot in that area.

This is the road leading to the Kaput I was staying on. You can see it just in the distance.

A sunset on the beach in Tel Aviv. I took this as we walked to have dinner at Mike’s Place. The bar that got blown up a few years ago. I shocked to find out that right next to Mike’s Place was the American Embassy. It built like a fortress. They are still build defence around it.
