Seeing as how we are a few weeks in and nobody has done this yet I figured I would.

Obviously I'm biased so Im going to talk aboot my team 1st. I'm surprised the nucks are 3-4. I watched the whole game last night vs. Minnesota and I was shocked but happy to see Kesler get the 1st Vancouver goal, I don't know how the hell that went in. If Minnesota had a little offense they would of won that game, Backstrom played great and had no chance on the game winner. I have NHL center ice for free until the end of October so I have been trying to catch the flyers whenever I can so I can see if they really are any good and plus I can text my dad and brother the scores. Center ice will be my christmas/birthday gift from Jill and we are going to order it next week. I know how big of a fan battlestar is so I won't diss the leafs to to much but I must say I think it was stupid of Burke to give the leafs 1st round pick to Boston for Kessel, Toronto does not have anybody like Savard to pass the puck to Kessel so when he does put on the blue and white I don't think he'll really score that much at all. From a personal standpoint I do love to see the leafs losing like this because I feel here in Canada we get the maple leafs shove down are throats no matter where we go, my uncle is a big leafs fan and I love to bug him aboot how bad they are doing.

The nucks play the oilers next, I hope Vancouver wins, their are 2 oiler fans at work who love to give me the gears aboot vancouver and I would love to give it right back tuesday morning. In another bonehead move by the NHL their are no games today. I guess they don't want to compete with the "No Fun League" and all that crap.

okay I'm done, thanks for reading my novel. biggrin.gif

Tampa's off to an OK start francismu2.gif minus the 7-1 loss to Ottawa. dry.gif

Our fourth line has been the best by far. Downie-Konopka-Fedoruk have fantastic chemistry. They'd probably still be together if it wasn't for Tocchet and Lecavalier angry.gif I don't even know why Veilleux was on the first line to begin with.

As for goaltenders, Nittymaki is awesome. Mike Smith lets in too many weak ones, and hasn't proven himself so far. Our defense is breaking apart, especially on the PP. WHY IS LECAVALIER ON THE POINT!? Too many odd-man rushes as a result, and too many goals. The obvious solution would be to call up Smaby, but he just got injured in Norfolk sad.gif

Victor Hedman is ok so far, a couple of defensive breakdowns, but he's getting huge ice-time for a rookie. Our management never seems to learn unsure.gif Best players by far are Stamkos, Downie, Martin St. Louis, and Ryan Malone. Hope to see Lecavalier and Tanguay start to catch up, and make our offense dynamic as it was in 2004 biggrin.gif

Sorry for the long rant, but I've been waiting for this thread for a long time laugh.gif

since everyone writes a summary....

An unexpected and incredibly good start for the Avs. Everything's working perfectly at the moment.

Anderson played all games so far, Sacco doesn't even want to see Budaj play once. There isn't any reason, Anderson is one of the best goalies in the league right now if not the best.

The defense improved too. Guys like Hannan and Clark realized that defense is more than blocking shots, Cumiskey finally shows his skills and Quincey has been a great addition.

Our offense seems to be really solid. Wolski, Stastny and Hejduk could score more but besides that they're doing a good job. I don't know what happened to Tucker but he performs WAY better than last year. McLeod is a warrior, he's fighting, he's scoring, he's everywhere. Our two rookies are incredible. Duchene had bad luck in front of the goal (or some Leafs blocked his shots laugh.gif ) but he just scored his first goal against Detroit (he probably just waited so that he can score against them). O'Reilly scored earlier, i didn't expect him to play at all this season but he's a big part of the team.

We won't win the cup but if they can keep playing like this the playoffs could be possible for a team that every 'expert' guessed to end as worst team in the league.

Oilers host canucks tonight, I've got $5 at work for a canuck victory, I'm 0 1 against my boss so here's hoping I can get to .500.

Oilers win but it was darn close, 1 more second left on the clock and I'd be watching overtime right now. I'm going to offer my boss double or nothing tommorow as the canucks and oilers hook up again Sunday. I hope not but I think the canucks will fall to 3-6 with a loss in Chicago but be 5-6 by the end of the weekend thanks to victory's over Toronto and Edmonton.

Have you guys noticed the bad fleuky goals that have gone in this season? Huet allowed a TERRIBLE goal against Dallas and Varlomov allowed a pretty shitty one against Nashville.

Don't forget Cam Ward, Antii Niemi, Nikolai Khabibulin, Henrik Lundquist, and that goal that went off Komisareks head laugh.gif Very weird year for sure, I don't remember this many strange goals.
