Well, there must be some sort of other reason behind the strategic killing. If a killer was forced to wait all year long, most of them would get bored and just start killing other people. Let's try to think of another motive?

Like... maybe that's how the spell works? There's some sort of spell attached to Tomoyo that, if triggered by her death, will set off a chain reaction of deaths? Ugh, I have no idea.

We should involve Salazar Slytherin somehow. Perhaps he's this killer's idol.

Lol... killers Idol? Thats a little odd. It would work, though. It could work like a Karl Marx/Lenin type thing, where the killer just likes his ideas, and doesn't necessarily have Salazar as his idol. Bloody social...

But since your characters are linked to Tomoyo now, then we're all direct/current targets. Or at least, Madison is so far. Cause she got a note too, right? Is Eowyn gonna get one?

Yeah. A muggle-hater wouldn't immediately connect Eowyn to Tomoyo, because Eowyn sort of dislikes Muggles, too - save Tomoyo, of course.

There must be some reason that he/she targeted Tomoyo first, though. Perhaps she has a vulnerability to that spell due to... something. I'll think about that. And also, the murderer wouldn't enter Hogwarts, because it's too complicated and has spells to prevent that sort of thing - but it would be much easier to just lure out one first-year girl to set the spell in motion.

How would the killer have gotten to all the Muggles, though? If he could have bespelled them, couldn't he have just killed them outright there? Maybe Tomoyo is connected to them in some way, and by placing the spell on her, he can affect the others.

Grr. So much to think about. Why do I keep referring to the murderer as a he?! He could very well be a she.

Eh... its a he. Rita... you are going to far... AGH! And I still need to post. Stupid Spook... Well, the murderer could just have been really unplanned and shot out a random spell and it happened to hit Tomoyo first, or he was aiming at someone else and she got in the way...

Well, we can just post, and if we come up with good ideas, just use it in the post. Then we can keep building on it until the details are sorted out. Maybe come back here to plan out the ending together. Otherwise, go for it!
