Planning Our Epic Adventure!, Yeah, right...

Voila, a thread for Jessie and Meg and I to plan our RP.

I hope you guys have a whole bunch of good ideas. I don't. All I know is that Meg is a Slytherin, Jess is a Gryffindor, and I'm a Ravenclaw. I think that's all we had on the planning sheet, too, but I'll continue to search for it in my labyrinth of folders and files...

Okay, so I sent a PM (or, whatever the messages here are called) to Sam, and asked if she could make a 'Hogwarts' forum. That way, we could have classroom subforums to do the rpg in (like DADA classroom, forbidden forest, etc). Cause we'll have to move to the 'chapters' area once we're done on the train.

And about planning, we don't have to go too indepth with the plot and stuff...if we wing it, we're free to add good ideas as they come, and it'll be more of a surprise.

'Winging' it always makes it more interesting. Just communicate enough to make sure the story keeps going forwards.

And you guys decide on a few Hogwarts places you want me to make sub-forums for!

Yeah, Forbidden Forest. And maybe a couple of others: Grounds, Library, Great Hall, Common Rooms (though we wouldn't be in common rooms together, so maybe not), Classrooms, Corridors. Is that too much? Everyone else in the HP forum would also use the subforums though, so they wouldn't be too empty...

Eh, I don't personally like winging it because things can get a little weird. Being the obsessive planner that I am. But I suppose that's the point of RPG.

Wait wait wait!!! I just realized, we can make our own classroom subforums in the chapters section. It saves a lot of trouble for Sam, and still allows us to have the hogwarts areas. *Sigh* I'm so stupid sometimes.

Sorry for all the trouble Sam! Although....your chapters section is about to get a lot bigger. Gradually, mind you, so it won't be that bad.

Well, how about this: if it starts getting weird ( ) then we can come here and try to set it back on track with rough ideas? Just OOC at the beginning or end of the post and say 'come to leaky cauldrom'.

No, not like that. Like....um, we could make the actual title of the chapter 'Forbidden Forest' then rp inside it like we're really there. Kinda like the Leaky Cauldron place, except actually use it like the real pub instead of an ooc forum.

Haha, hey Meg! Just go to the beginning...or- here's a summary.

I was thinking we could have a Hogwarts forum with classroom subforums to rp in...eg, DADA classroom subforum. Cause we need to go somewhere after Hogwarts express. But Sam said it would be hard, so we figured we could just make the classroom subforums inside 'Chapters'.

Oh, and Ri wanted to plan the plot here, but we've agreed that we can just wing it, and if it gets off track, ooc us in the rp and tell us to meet at Leaky Cauldron.

I think Ri's busy with her cousins who were supposed to come sometime around now....hm, maybe we should ease up a bit and let her catch up. *Sweatdrop*

The sub-forum thing would be a little strange and difficult. I was just thinking that we go on normal school days, because not all three of us could be in the same classroom. Just doesn't work, cause we are in different houses... And what about things that aren't in classrooms, or any specific room?

Oh yeah! I forgot about our classroom schedules.....okay then, how 'bout this: We just make subforums for popular meeting places, like hang outs, and then just rp (like Meg said) in normal school days.

Yeah - see you soon then, Meg. If she comes back Friday, that'll work well - we can do a couple of posts without her, but I won't be around much 'till then anyhow.

And yeah, that's a good idea, Jess... then we can create topics as we need them, instead of making Sam put up a bunch of empty forums. ^^ A subforum for the Grounds or Corridors or other common places would be good though.

Yeah...those places will probably be pretty common in our rpg, won't they? Well, let's just finish up the express arc first. The snack trolley hasn't even come by yet! Lol.

We really do need to get things going here don't we. Well, it should go faster once we are in Hogwarts, because we can skip a few things and begin "As they left (insert class name)..." and not post the actual class.
