extremeMEASURES PLOT whats going on | QUOTE | The war is starting to get out of hand. People are being brutally tortured and murdered left right and center. We're doing everything we can to try and keep up with it, but it seems that every corner we turn around, there they are, ready to take us on and not willing to spare any life.
About a month ago, a group of us: Lily, James, Sirius, Frank, and myself were on an information-scouting mission for the Order, and they ambushed us. We were greatly outnumbered. I wouldn't necessarily call it a good thing, but we must've been important enough to get on his radar because Voldemort himself appeared. Luckily, we all somehow managed to escape without lasting harm. I nearly died though. I got hit by a Cruciatus curse and fell a fair distance. If it weren't for Frank and Sirius saving my life, I would've been left behind and I'm certain they would have killed me... or worse.
Somehow, I think this is only the beginning, and things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get any better.

| QUOTE | I'd always known that there were magical items that held their own powers... Ones that were... nearly alive, and aside from reading History books printed about Harry Potter in the last couple years, I've never seen real proof of them until now.
Several years ago, my husband and I discovered the existence of a very special pendant. It was only rumored to begin with, of course... but when my little cousin mentioned something about one of her classmates, it sounded a little too much like the effects of the pendant we were looking for. With her help, we managed to secure the artifact nearly three years ago. Since then, we've been studying it, trying to figure it out. We know that it was relative to the past Lord Voldemort, but we had to discover exactly what it had to do with him, and how it works.
Saturday, which I think was two days ago, my husband and I were in Diagon Alley in our private suite, investigating the pendant again. It was on a chain around my neck while Trinity tried an incantation. I don't remember the incantation, but I do remember a bright flash of dark green light. I felt a wave of energy along with the light, like it was rippling outward from the pendant. It knocked me to the ground, and I don't remember what happened in the next few seconds, I just remember being really dizzy.
The next thing I knew, Trinity was trying to wake me. I still felt a little dizzy and awkward, and when we looked around the suite we were in, we knew something had to have gone wrong. The whole interior of the suite had changed... it was almost retro. We couldn't tell what was going on from inside the suite, but after a tour down to Diagon Alley, it became obvious that we'd gone back in time.
At that point, we weren't sure how far back... only that it was sometime during the first war with Voldemort.... that, and we have no idea how to reverse it.

An Update. We've been trapped her for nearly two full months now, and we've officially missed Christmas. I wanted to be home before the holidays, so Edmund wouldn't know we were gone... but now I'm sure he and very many other people have noticed that ourselves, and we've noticed a fair lot of others are missing. We've got to find a way back before someone in our own time forces us back. The reprecussions for this type of magic, I can only imagine are severe and I don't need myself or my husband getting into troubles with the Ministry. We've got enough followers throughout the Ministry to probably be safe from the threat of Azkaban even if we are caught, but we don't need that sort of publicity going around about us.
Oh, and did I mention that somehow we managed to bring Harry Potter with us? I mean, he's not the superhero now he was as a child, but I will give him credit for being intelligent, and that's the last thing we need around here. We've tried every trick that we know to try and get ourselves back. We're on to creating our own spells to try and take us home, but we've had little success so far.

That's right folks, Lindsay, her husband Trinity, their two girls who haven't quite hit 11 yet and are still at home, and really anybody within a 50 foot radius of where they were standing at the time has been whisked away back in time 40 years, where they are now trapped. No one knows exactly how many people have been brought back, and because of the 'mind your own business' attitude of the late '70's, there are only a couple people in the past that have realized they have visitors.
How will this random group of people being in the past alter the future, or will it change at all?
Many of these people from the future have children currently in Hogwarts, who all now know that their parents, siblings, and friends have gone missing. Now, with the war going on in 2018, people going missing isn't completely unheard of, but not that many all at once. The Ministry knows something fishy is going on.
Will they have to find a way to be brought back on their own, or will the Ministry's Accidental Magical Reversal Squad from the future reach their hand through time and get everyone?
All of this, is up to you.
In Character Notes: Characters from the Past and Characters from the Present cannot be 'best friends' or really good friends because they don't really know one another. Characters from the future who are meeting their parents or important people like that should consider giving a false name, as though to protect the past in order to keep their future.
